General Discussion / Re: Lets talk about fees again
« on: November 02, 2015, 11:37:03 pm »
What makes me angry right now is that I have to pay fees to send BTS to my collateral positions handlers, then to pay fees to update position... but it doesn't even work if I don't go further short because the collateral handler has none of the bitAsset required to pay the fee.

That's... really unpleasant  :-[

General Discussion / Re: The worst thing for BTS is this forum

I'm 47. I have two teenagers, a house, a dog, and a wonderful wife. I lost 25 BTC today, and except my losses like an adult. I don't blame anybody... maybe you should do the same instead of acting like a whining little bitch. By far the most immature post I have read in the past year.

I didn't lose anything today. In fact I haven't lost anything in months... whining little bitch, BTC... are you in the right forum? This is BTS, correct?

You act like a whining little bitch posting negative stuff, bravo for your antimeta thread of the day award.

General Discussion / Re: Banx, future plans and BTS

Yes, I looked at the screenshots. What a joke. No trading record here, just screenshots of 20 entries of an excel file. How does that answer any of the very specific questions that were addressed to you by HeySteve or phillyguy? It doesn't.

The only thing that seems quite clear is that you need to sell Banx to make "profits".

I could help for turkish translation. Can someone send me the link here please. I was just thinking about the effectiveness of short videos like the ones Salman Khan does on Khan Academy. Many people will have hard time comprehending totally what such things like a witness or a delegate are and what they do . Short videos  each couple of minutes would really help people  understand basic terminology and the functions .

@bitsacer, are you dairemerkezi on Transifex? If so you are doing it great job translating graphene-ui into Turkish, we should grant  Reviewer permissions.

Same to inarizushi Transifex user wtth French translation. If you read this please let me know so we can keep in touch.

Remember that changes on translation source file are pulled once a day from github.com/graphene-ui.
You can click on Watch Project from the source file page of the project to get notified each time new strings comes from github (https://www.transifex.com/bitshares/graphene-ui/content/)

When translations get completed and reviewed I'll be pushing them to github. Reviewers and Language Coordinators can do that themselves if they want.

I'm glad to see more people joining

The UI has been partially translated in French in Github, but not by me (here: https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene-ui/tree/master/web/app/assets/locales). I guess it's @svk that did it?
No translation seems to be missing on this file (even though some are not translated and are in English) however on the web wallet when you select the French wallet there is a lot of "missing translation". I suppose it's because the labels keep changing for the moment.

I would like to be more in translating but it's hard to see what has the most priority and what is going to change. Do keep in touch with me, if you give me specific tasks I'll do them.

... I'm saying this because I really believe - letting transparency issues aside - that this is one of the main reasons why people fud all over your project: the moment I open the pages they immediately strike me as scam/ad like pages. Poor design, big letters, random pictures that seem to be taken from a google image search, the "do now", "buy now", "it's the only way"  sort of things.

[...]

If you believe in your project keep it up, don't let the fud and trolls affect your motivation or make you start doubting yourself. Keep focused, ignore. Most are children. If not, they have petty lifes. On btc i can only imagine kids and 40's crying and trolling over everything which makes me think their life is pathetic so don't even waste time on that. Keep it up and good luck  :)

The cognitive dissonance is strong here.

Feel free to call me a child or having a petty life, but you know, if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck. You agree that it looks like a duck and swims like a duck, but you still believe in Mark's integrity. I would love to believe in Mark's integrity, but when he "answers to everything" and when you look at the answers they are empty shells, that is a clear alarm call. Please try to do the critical thinking necessary here and evaluate what he says.

What we ask for is hints for sound business behind banx' claimed profits. The answer Mark gives us is essentially mining and trading. Do you really believe that? If there are no actual profits, then the situation is clear: banx is a ponzi. "BitShares associated with a ponzi scheme". Come on, our credibility is on the line here, we're shooting our own foot even though we have probably the best technology out there.

Oh my god all your answers are never really answers. You just keep providing empty statements until you or your interlocutor gets bored.

I've just looked at question (6) 16% monthly ROI with virtually zero risk? Please provide trading record and specify the venue where these trades are being conducted. Your zip file contains random screenshots with some numbers. The "Profit payouts" png shows BTC amounts and the corresponding BANX given in exchange. No trading record. No specification of the venue where the trades happened. The other screenshots are no better.

Oh, one more thing... If BanxPlatinum promises subscribers will “reliably… generate over 16% monthly ROI with virtually zero risk,” then why pursue anything besides this fantastically profitable venture? And why dilute your profitability by sharing the secret?

Wow, everybody promising 16% ROI free of risk is OBVIOUSLY a scam. And banxplatinum does advertise that.

When the banx scandal explodes, we better be prepared.

General Discussion / Re: Open Ledger Market Pages Updated
« on: October 20, 2015, 09:49:04 pm »
Interesting.  everything has been slow since I imported my keys/accounts.

I closed and relaunch browser and now everything is gone.  No accounts, no market page

Xeldal, looks like for some reason your browser has reseted its cache. I would suggest you to use light wallet instead of a browser. You can either re-import your 0.x wallet keys or use backup if you created it in web wallet.

I would also make sure you do not use your browser in incognito mode!

lol, yeah, that would be silly : )  <sarc> I thought that's how we do private transactions </sarc> : )

Thanks Valzav, I'm in the process of reimporting, as I was unable to create a backup.  My only concern is whether the market orders I placed after the initial import will still be a part of my wallet after reimporting keys.  Open orders and all.   I'll answer my own question of course once the import I've got going now finishes.

My account is often missing when I load OpenLedger OR my lightweight client, but reappears each time I reload the page (with Cmd R)... for what it's worth. But if you're reimporting I guess you can't test that.

And to be on-topic : great and much needed changes, bravo  +5%
