This is getting urgent as I have a freelancer to pay for her translation work and I need to access my funds right now.

I just left it for 2 hours and the blockchain synced.  it just keep going in jumps saying it was stuck for 10 mins or so, then updated and then another half an hour for 'wallet transaction scanning.

I still can't send funds though.  In my personal account and delegate account, if I try to make a transaction and click "send" nothing happens.  Where I type in the amount there is "symbol not set", I can't click that either.

I'm also getting unknown account errors at the top right by the bell.

Probably this is related to transaction scanning or blockchain synchronization. You can try to reload gui right clicking any element and selecting Reload.
Also could you post some of the error message if there are any in the top right part of the window and the flag icon?

Thanks for the reply, I tried the reloading GUI like you suggest but didn't fix it.

It's no different for me than 0.4.27.1.  Doesn't sync, keeps freezing.  if I click away from the startup screen it disappears and I have to force quit and restart.  Heres the get info.  How do I tell if I'm on a fork?

I hope @bytemaster that he post on his blog his opinion of what he things is the cause of this fight against the crypto world...

We don't need any more blog posts from BM, just coding.  I'm writing something about this myself.

They mentioned:

It's an insane notion and I don't believe it will go ahead.

General Discussion / Re: v 0.5 will be released today?
« on: January 14, 2015, 11:45:43 am »
Vikram is preparing a release right now, we will (hopefully) release it tomorrow so that we are all here if something goes wrong.

The vesting balances will be unlocked with the hard fork, which as always will occur a few days after release.

Isn't the idea that it's tested on the DVS chain so it wont go wrong on BTS?  Has it been tested on DVS?

yes..

Just checking, good to know!

I wish he'd save himself a lot of time stay away from the blog and focus on the development , and let the others do that .
Because there are a lot of people who can do things he is doing on the blog , but there only a few in the world that can catch up to his development power .

Getting Bitfinex or BitStamp onboard would be great. Just contact them and offer the bounty and see how they reply anyway. There aren't that many large BTC/USD exchanges, BTC-e... OKcoin... http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/markets/graphicalComparison

General Discussion / Re: [pre-ann] New BitUSD store, looking for feedback

I welcome everyone to check out and test some new features on cryptofresh!

You can also see that we've added clayop's Korean translation and a sweet new desktop wallpaper.

You can now pay using BitUSD, BitCNY, BitGOLD, BitSILVER, and BitEUR.

I'm on the fence about accepting BTS because we are trying to encourage use of our flagship BitAsset products.
What do you all think? Are there any other assets you'd like to use as payment?

The shirts, referral program, and official announcement are coming soon. Stay tuned :)

Great!  I really like the badges at the top.  As BM says don't accept BTS.
