I doubled my BTSX holding today up to 15%. The other 85% is still in BTC.

I would like to see Bitshares become a full blown commodity exchange with things like beef, coffee, wheat, corn, cocoa, etc.
I never said 77K is the natural growth level as of today. You asked if it is correct. It was today..and yesterday. Is this volume correct/real?

It says there has been $77k volume on bitUSD
Surprisingly enough I believe it is. And was even higher yesterday.
Tomorrow - I do not know; in the 10-15K USD range is my best guess.
It was only $5k a couple days ago!Explanation? Read the post just above yours.
If its caused by bytemaster doesn't that effectively make it artificial? Not 'natural' growth.

"market peg" is an abstract concept, not a market mechanic.
The market peg should hold across all exchanges. If there usd/bitusd is undervalued or overvalued on an external exchange, it means either there is an arbitrage opportunity or the peg is actually skewed.
Ok thanks. I understand it's abstract and not market mechanics. So centralized exchanges could become bitasset exchanges and it should still work.
It actually helps us significantly to have centralized exchanges allow trading of the direct asset. It allows people "make the market" manually without having to provide a bot. Just offer to buy BitUSD at 98 and sell at 100.

rofl, the person had one job, to list one fact and blew it.
joke is on us though
Does wsj have a "corrections" or errata section? A spot where they mention inaccuracies in previous issues? We could probably get them to publish a correction. That way bitshares gets mentioned in 2 issues.

This piece one of the most impartial pieces about crypto I've ever seen in a major publication. Because it looks like the author actually did some due diligence instead of making up a bunch of crap, I sent him an e-mail letting him know all the points I saw in it that might be inaccurate or misleading. He expressed interested in writing a follow up article next week.
