General Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap Adda BitShares assets

It will be interesting to see the volume on these pick up and see if the market peg holds.  If it does then it should be self-sustaining as others see their stability and buy in.

Big news, this clearly is related to the jump in BTC price.  I doubt it's enough to stimulate a trend reversal.  It could 'buy some time' for the bitcoin price while other developments and hurdles are moved forward with such as the NYDFS bitlisence.  It could easily be back at $400 in a few hours or days, but ya never know.

Bytemaster, this mining chaos didn't happen at the last bitcoin block reward halving, is there any reason making it more likely this time?

Lol I wish.  Just curious about whether the price would stay pegged close to $1.

What kind of problems are being experienced?

This is a relevant project:

Skycoin:

What do people think of this?

(not wanting to hi-jack the thread, but they appear to be building an incentivised meshnet).

What happens if today someone wanted to buy $100,000 worth of bitUSD?  What about $1million or $10 million?

Interesting.  I'm gradually understanding Bitshares better.

You guys should bump this.  It isn't BTSX but it is Bitshares and it is good to get the brand out there in a general sense and not framed as another altcoin.  This is interesting because it really doesn't seem to be a typical coin.  The functionality and need diverges far from what one would expect with an "altcoin" or what have you.

^^^ SO BUMP THE THREAD WITH TALK LIKE THE ABOVE.  :)

I commented, it's genuinely very interesting.

Technical Support / Bitshares X Quit Unexpectedly Mac 10.6.8
« on: September 20, 2014, 05:36:50 pm »
Hi,
I'm new to Bitshares X.  Just downloaded my first wallet from Dacsunlimited.com.  I'm on running Mac OS 10.6.8.  Tried to open the software a bunch of times but it just "Quits Unexpectedly" each time.

Hope this can be fixed!

General Discussion / Re: Air drop BTSX on .edu emails?

Highly targeted airdrops could be a very effective tool, the sooner it's organised the better, before every other crypto is doing it.

Voted, but it's pretty meaningless as anyone can just create endless bitcointalk accounts and vote as many times as they want.
