Openledger / OpenLedger deprecating OPEN assets in favor of OPEN. assets
« on: February 03, 2016, 02:41:18 pm »OpenLedger will be migrating all its remaining “OPEN” prefixed assets such as OPENBTC to “OPEN.” prefixed assets such as OPEN.BTC.
This will allow for a consistent naming scheme so that holders can be sure they have an official asset issued by OpenLedger. Only OpenLedger can create “OPEN.” prefixed assets as it holds the base asset “OPEN”, but anyone can create an asset prefixed with “OPEN”.
OpenLedger will be placing 1-for-1 buy orders on the BitShares DEX for all “OPEN” prefixed assets issued by OpenLedger using equivalent “OPEN.” prefixed assetes to allow all current holders of “OPEN” prefixed assets to quickly and easy convert their holdings. For example, if you hold OPENBTC, you will be able to purchase an equivalent amount of OPEN.BTC on the OPEN.BTC_OPENBTC market.
We are currently planning to make this transition on Feb 8. This transition will affect the following assets: OPENBTC, OPENLTC, OPENDOGE, OPENDASH, OPENPPC, OPENMUSE, OPENNSR, and OPENNBT.
As a side note:
In coming weeks you will see me inviting the community from each of the altcoin we have present on Openledger through special marketing attempt, trying to do one starting of the week every week. I will do this to make sure every community knows and understands that what we offer is the same as any other exchange in regards to their own preferre currency, only we add extra value to each user with the excellent chance to try out our decentralized part of the platform as well, all in one wallet.
OPEN.ETH is expected soon, perhaps even this week.
Coming week we start out by introducing Emercoin community to OpenLedger inviting them to offer their services and products to the BitShares Network at the same time of getting their currency listed on OpenLedger platform, letting the BTS community know in best way possible also by being present in on of the future Mumble hangouts. I plan on doing this with as many interested parties as possible inviting everyone to take part in making OpenLedger the choice to be!
In connection with putting extra focus on all currecies bridged to OpenLedger, Gliss at CoinMarketCap is working hard on adding lots of new markets undder the exchange OpenLedger making sure the world will noticen it is possible to not only trade assets on this platform.
50% of all revenue generated from the 0,2% trading commission on all Open assets, except fiat assets(here it is 100%) is added to OBITS profits for future buyback.
