Wall street bailouts led to the biggest rally in the us stock market in history... I know many of you are zero hedge tinfoil hat people and think it's rigged, but you are rich if you bought stocks when the banks were bailed out.

Wrong.  You would be rich if you had bought bitcoin when the banks were bailed out.  You would not have even tripled your money in stocks.  Google the greatest stock market rallies in history.  This one is not it.

Not here to argue what the greatest investment in the world was from 2008 onward... Just saying the bailouts led to a huge rally in stocks and maybe a bailout here would lead to a similar result.

Does Yunbi allow trading by Americans using bitcoin to purchase bitshares?

1. We are way too disorganized and much too limited manpower wise to do the due diligence and have the capacity to run a takeover of an exchange like bter.
2.IF bter even floats the idea of a buyout, its going to cost well over the 7k bitcoins they lost... This exchange would prolly get gobbled up for 10mil minimum. Most likely by a single player with a net worth 10 times our market cap.

Traders don't use the exchange because there is no leverage or margin to use... The lack of liquidity is also way too low for any real trader to use this.  Spreads are too big and the charts are much too basic to be of any use.

Look at MT4 as a base example of what a trader requires graphically... It's the most popular trading platform.

The way we are doing it now... with equity that they earn through their delegate positions.  If they do a good job and grow the ecosystem they will be payed higher than almost every other developer once the market cap gets bigger.  I would like to know if all the dev's are working full time or if this is a part time gig for them... judging by the github milestones, hardly any progress has been made in the last week.

The price drop is a blessing... I'm getting my tax refund back in a few weeks plus a bonus from work.  All is going straight into bts.  Hopefully my 4k creates a bottom ;)

General Discussion / Re: Mobile Wallet - Testers needed

I agree that the mobile wallet with the ability to hold bitcoin is very important.  I know important things are being done on the bitshares code right now, but that's impossible to market.  Checking the github for progress is depressing because it seems like tasks take so long to accomplish.  Even worse is seeing extra full weeks being added on to each release date.  Come to think of it the github is almost like "Anitmarketing", it only dissapoints.  It would be nice if the marketing team had something usable and tangible for non-geeks to experience.

This needs an "explain it to me like I'm 5" version

Just by reading this thread it makes me never want to gamble on sports without a judge.  If I lost and then found out that I could either get 10% of my original bet back or screw over the guy who beat me... I might just screw him over because I'm pissed I lost and misery loves company.  I mean talk about a lot of risk in getting a payout... a lot more risk than trusting a judge to make the call.  Couldn't we have delegates providing feeds of certain events that end up dictating the winner and loser and dispersing the payout?

Actually even if it's not ready it should be marketed heavily by the marketing team with an expected launch date, but from what I heard, it's already in operation.

Looks like this weekend...

I do not need a year's worth of back bills as I didn't pay for it anywhere near that long. It might have been 1/2 a year by now.  It shouldn't come out of your personal payment, you should just split it all up by %s. Hardware/fixed bills are first then you pay it out by a percent.

Also you should examine if we could lower it to the lower tier of service and save $9 a month..

Also I would have one suggestion ! Take the audio and start posting it to youtube. Create a paragraph about what it covers. I found my time-point transcriptions easy to do as I got the editing down but that could be an overkill.  A simple 5 sentence paragraph about each episode with some key words then post it on youtube. It really doesn't take that much time after you've done all the rest of it. I meant to do it, but I find this year I must be doing more for my own direct financial interest.

Great idea to post the audio on youtube!
