General Discussion / Re: The Bitshares SUPERbull thread
« on: December 01, 2014, 07:03:39 pm »

Are we still in a bull trend?

Bullshit trend, more like. Or whalebot trend. Give us a decent client and some marketing, stir it up together with some Red Bull, and make yourself a real bull trend. Until then, call it a whalebot trend; a couple of big investors will continue to utterly manipulate the price on the exchanges, while nickle-and-dimers on the forum jump and get excited when there's an uptick or downtick. In absence of any real news, it's just whales and their bots.

If you understand the technical aspects of trading and are willing to sit things out when there's any sort of disruptive news, then you can make a few bucks that way. But if you believe Bitshares is going much higher, like most of us do, then it doesn't really matter when you buy in. Maybe you have better things to do with your time, or you can make more money, by not going cross-eyed watching charts. We know it's going to start increasing very soon. Would you rather be holding or sitting when that time comes?

I'll wait 'til they have a GUI that does this in a few clicks. Not quite ready for prime time.

Am I going mad, or did the word "think" escape your lips? A five page thread and no one has solved the riddle?

The solution is really very simple:

If they do not vote, they cannot collect any yield! Those who vote are rewarded with interest!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... ...

Worth a read.

On another note.  I just got done speaking with Ross Ulbricht's Mother and Father and they are looking to fund approximately $20k more toward Ross's Defense fund.  They are interested in meeting with our community in a hangout in the next couple weeks.

I told them I have no power over the decision personally, but that our community is who they need to contact.  More later.

Can he sing? Ross could start an artist asset coin on PeerTracks. Alternatively, maybe Alphabar could (re-) name the new PTS coin as the Ross Ulbricht coin.

I'd "donate" to Ross' LDF if he did recorded an endorsement video for BitShares!!!

Hi Everyone

I am really pleased to reveal our presence, here are a few things that spring to mind after my two full days visiting Dan, Stan and the team...

The guys are real, humble, confident and decisive. It is clear that we can look forward to a genuine relationship with genuine people.

There is a pragmatism and competence that results in deliverables.

The respect, patience and thinking displayed, exceeded expectations.

We will begin to post on a regular basis and explain our plans but I will end by saying we took nearly a year to get to where we are, we are experienced and execution focused and we needed to believe first and foremost in a business model combined with suitable technology that would scale and dominate the remittance space.

We are intent on building a long term business and we have a clear view on how to make it happen, consequently choosing the tech and team was a big decision as the choice must support the business for years to come.

We are really comfortable that we can work with Dan, the team and the community to realise our goals and we will be here now and in the future to jointly fight the battles and build better software in order to further the potential of the Bitshares platform.

Take and care and we look forward to working with you all, this is the beginning of a very serious business.

Beware Sztorcs bearing gifts. Academia hatches plenty of ideas, few of them practical.
