General Discussion / Re: Steemit's Plan

Crybaby,

This is life, nobody knows you anything.

BM invented Grapbene, and gave it to BTS investors.   Yeah, he could have gave you some STEEM, but he didn't think that BTS and Brownie Points investors deserved any.  And if your tears are indicative of the sentiment of the average BTS shareholder, then I would have to agree with his decision to refrain from feeding the crybabies.

I'm talking about PTS/AGS holders who he cleverly abandoned the sharedrop promise .
He may claim BTS holders voted him out , but ....PTS/AGS has no say in all these .

Again , I agree with you . He can do anything he like.  He and you just can't expect people don't talk about it afterwards .

FWIW- Dan first proposed most of the things he is doing in Steem here to the Bitshares community. You guys cut off his funding for said proposals- stating they were either unnecessary or declaring that inflation for development/improvements = bad. It is kind of the Bitshares' community's fault he has moved on from Bitshares to Steem. An employee must get paid for his work, or else he will look elsewhere for an employer that will pay him for working. Failure to see that to make a few dollars you have to spend a few dollars is entirely on the Bitshares' community. Short term greed stymied Bitshares and will be its eventual downfall.

No one cut off his funding.  Dan never even created a worker proposal.  Total bullshit saying that BTS won't pay for any development as there are 2 workers being paid already.

too be fair , he knew he would be cut off so he didn't even want to try .

he knew he would be cut off because deep down in his heart he knew how much wrong he has done to the bts holders and still dare to ask for tons of millions of bts base on the marketcap that he pushed down in the first place .

deep down in his heart , he knew no matter how many justifications , people would just not believe it anymore .

For him , there are only 2 options , 1. go find a job, punching clocks and has certain responsibility to his bosses .  2. use the code base that bitshares as a experimental animal has paid for to start a new project where not many people has a clear clue what he has done in the past and use the same trick that was used on BTS to get more value out of STEEM as possible before their holders realizes it , and without any responsibilities because deep down in his heart he rejects contracts -----  he wants a contract free society where he has no regard for contracts or promises as long as no one has the ability to force him to deliver .

After reading his post one STEEMit about his past , I felt more angered .  He is a victim of broken promises , and he now he has made bitshares/ags/dns/pts/ victim via the same path .

It feels funny though , he has no cost to share drop on AGS/PTS (even vest in few years) , and he still didn't do it . This time , he can't claim that it's because lack of funding . AGS/PTS got sharedrops ripped off for the promise that "we won't do another project ever again " . Now he is doing another project again , lol . I can accept him to find a regular job to feed his family in a IT company  , but I can't accept this blunt mock on all of our faces .

Anyway , I'm gonna stick with BTS , provided that he will never return to BTS . The cost of him staying here is far damaging regardless what features he could bring to the table , and i'm not just talking the dilution cost . I'm talking about how he still thinks that he is a victim in all these .

I didn't think it's hard to predict. every couple months...

It's a copy and paste technique . All they have to do is copy the code in the bot and paste again   :P :P

Why is Bitshares rising in price?

Because BitShares is awesome, and CCEDK is announcing on July 1st their relaunched frontend based off BitShares (I think).

Plus check out the blockchain's increasing transaction rates (turn on limit & cancel orders):
cryptofresh.com/charts

We are making record daily transaction counts and starting to achieve real traction.

Sucks to be you for doubting BitShares.

Could be something else actually.. which is also being announced July 1st.

lol , really ?
I'll say BS to whatever being announce at july 1st .
But , in case it really has anything remotely related to this pump , it screams "insider trading" .

Again , I'll say BS to whatever being announce at july 1st .
Taking credit for past pump with future events now ?

the referral program is stupid .
However , it's not a pyramid scheme if the layer of that scheme is less than 2 (there is a rule somewhere in the law ) .

So the referral program is not a pyramid scheme . It's just a social promotion tool .

And it hasn't been get rid off yet .

And the price drop was no way related to whatever pyramid scheme you were talking about .

And the final answer is related to the gold question in stock market : why the share price always rises after I sold /  Why it drop after I brought it .

Lol

Bitshares performance is too poor, must be cut off all workers. When the  BTS is 0.0001btc ,we can vote more workers in .We need learn from peercoin nxt litecoin .

How did you arrive at this conclusion?

What about if we learn from Dash?
Follow in Ronny Boesing and Kencode ,waiting bull market。 Dash XEM ETH 's community structureare is different from BTS ,because some rules change we lost the banker's trust 。
In the encrypted currency community ,why Bitshares   was considered a liar?
Now BTS is in 18 in  http://coinmarketcap.com/ .If more workers or BM back ,BTS will be in 30 .
We need all kinds of app ,such Ronny Boesing and Kencode's work .The apps are self financing. Then the  Bitshares ecosystem will be healthy.

That isn't the impression I am getting from new people who come to Bitshares. Take a look at someone who was introduced to Bitshares through Peerplays and how they reacted to what they saw here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1462351.msg15327352#msg15327352

Overall, it was the lack of any visible work on the blockchain that made them exit. If you look further down the thread, Dan explained the various things going on trying to counter what they saw as a blockchain without a dev team anymore.

If you look at the way things have happened, it is also easy to say, that since BM has left, and it has become clear to most that getting more work done on bitshares won't happen because of lack of voter support, that is why we have fallen down in our market cap... people have left the project because they seen no hope of it being able to grow as a result. <<< This could also be a similar conclusion.

Which one is right?

our marketcap has not fallen down more than when workers and delegates were in play .
it's other coins (like STEEM) that has risen with it's weird scheme .

in  fact , i just brought several million BTS more , the same BTS that you deem "can not rise in marketcap without workers" .
so i guess time will tell who's right after all .

Great you are buying BTS!

I just was giving a real world example of what happened when a newcomer came to Bitshares and what they saw in contrast to internal ideas from existing members/supporters.

Hasn't it always been an ongoing issue here where we just didn't listen to what the market was telling us? Here is your prospective investor telling you what he saw and how it lead him to want to leave... like not even wait and see.. LEAVE.

i wonder why you did ICO with peerplay . if you trust the power of dilution so much ....why not just do a worker scheme and add value to the system by "developing features" ? then you'll have "increased marketcap" because you did great works . You don't need real money via ICO , you just need the powerful dilution scheme ...

in fact , this was the same advice that BM have stressed for a long time , NO ICOs . Dilution is more sustainable .  ;)

Obviously there's disagreement on the value of these videos, but I think for the price we're paying they are a reasonable deal. We really need more of this type of video material, not necessarily to attract new users, but just to educate them once they are here. There's a substantial group of people that are much more likely to watch a few videos than will scavenge thru a forum or post a bunch of questions (that we'll then be forced to answer over and over again). As it stands now, I'm sure we lose a bunch of these new users due to difficulties of learning the platform, and that's an expensive loss.

On a related-note, I'd like to encourage everyone to do a search on youtube and "watch" any decent video on bitshares they can find there. The reason is simple: views are a relative measure of the popularity of a video (and the topic it covers). The more views they get, the more likely other people are to watch the video, since people are more likely to watch something that's popular. It's just human nature.

i didn't need a video to use paypal. maybe that's the problem . it's not the issue with the video , it's the fact that we even need them in the first place.

BTS' smart contract are more secure because they are less flexible .. there is also clear rules that bts will fork to fix bugs if the code doesnt behave as specified.
thats makes it easier to derive a risk for holding assets in bts .. essentially equivalent to holding btc

not true .
no computer program is more secure just because "it's less flexible" .
BTS1.0 had a big bug that result in huge transaction fee lost . And that's with "less flexible smart contract" .

Of course , if you're referring to it based on "programming secure" (like argument against some programming language) and not "actually secure" , then i agree.

I don't remember anyone losing money in bts1 from any coding bug..and by the way we are in bts2 now..You can't compare completely different things..and it appears that someone has hacked DAO and is dumping millions on the market..I don't remember ever to have happened to bts something like that..

In any case, if we don't advertise the DEX in situation like this then how do you ever expect bts to rise? Come on people..Show some positivity for once...

No need to wait anything more from bts for your financial freedom. bts is ready. We only need to attract more people to learn about bts now.

I mean computer program is always safe until it's not .
In BTS1.0 , there were significant BTS at that time was created from thin air due to that bug , by a "white hat", Angle account had to burned the same amount just to fix the total supply .

And in BTS2.0 , there are no this kind of bug yet (until someone find another ) .

Especially for a small community , bugs are hard to find and notice .

By the way again , BTS1.0 had a significant bug that cost people millions of BTS when they were transferring BTS while their fee went up to the roof like millions of BTS per transaction.  People lost money , and I heard that the dev pay them back with their development fund .

I don't recommend you to pretend that this system is all safe while others could fail . This could fail as well . It's the nature of computer program .

Just because you brought something and want it to be successful , that doesn't mean you should remove people's risk awareness .

Everyone should go on Polo troll box and explain to people why such attacks cannot happen to bts, advertise the DEX and the importance of a decentralized exchange.

it can happened to BTS and it has happened in BTS1.0  .

Coding bug happens .

ok,

now we can start talking about this....

I have some btc to buy a little more..... but if bitshares starts to go obscene beyond down from what I expect  Im going to sell my motorcycle whitout a thought.  8)

Sell your motorcycle so that you don't die... don't sell your motorcycle to buy BTS.  We've already had at least one person who has sold his vehicle when BTS was trading at much higher levels...

that would be me.. :)..Sold my precious 15 year old toyota corolla 1 year ago when bts was more than double market cap what it is today..Public transportation especially in my country is not the most comfortably thing for me the last year..since then i also had a huge margin call in polo on my long position...

I am still patiently waiting for the summer announcement  that will take bts to the moon (although i doubt that even if that happens i will ever be able to cover my losses)  .I can only hope that the moon is reached before 2036  ::)

Having said that..if i still had my car or any money left I would again sell my car today and buy bts at these levels.

have you not learned enough ....summer announcement   :P :P

I'd hate to bring water to the mill but I'd like to respond to concerns.

This isn't or wasn't a scam. We aren't anonymous guys. Funds were spent where they appeared required.
And we were INVITED to "those fancy events" they didn't incur huge expenses. I almost regret sharing the pictures the events, but I don't (:
The project got industry attention. Delivery is what is missing.  Luckily Troopeers has started being demo'd. We'll soon have the metrics (users, income, eyeballs) required to move onto the next phase.

Ben is correct I'm not at the helm,  I initiated the project and a week later, Daniel introduced me to Eddie, PeerTracks CEO... possibly reptilian.

what is reptilian
