General Discussion / Re: Wow, I'm glad I sold.
« on: October 21, 2015, 07:48:47 pm »
BTS is experiencing a really telling collapse right now.

I'm so happy I sold ALL of my BTS at 4800. Best decision ever.

I haven't been active on here for a long time but after re reading everything that's happening with you guys. Unfortunately this project is going to hell. Because of disorganization, lack of focus, sloppy websites/products and confusion.

Its a mess. Not saying to sell now, but I don't see this growing or going anywhere meaningful at all. But hey maybe you'll get pumped back up to 4,000 sats. and if that happens I'd highly suggest selling.

I bet your conclusions are a result of only a price chart "study"and nothing else....
I strongly advice you to use a hosted wallet for 5 minutes ONLY and come back! https://bitshares.openledger.info

PS maybe you own some bitAssets or vested balances also ... (but that's a too hard work for you to find out,if I am wrong just take a look/study and come back again...)

So I made a topic over in the trading section here: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,19266.0.html

I used to have a large stake in BTS before. But I sold out at a modest 10% profit on my initial investment because I really didn't like they way things were going, in regard to no marketing, and sloppy websites. I then watched you guys drop and drop, and drop. Now that I've noticed this recent huge crash in price it got my attention and I made a thread in the forum.

What I'm wondering is....

What has changed? Why did the price drop so much?

And secondly, I tested out the UI for the new online market and I LOVE IT. As someone in the other thread suggested I would. It actually caught me off guard.

So my other main question is.... Has the disorganized dev/community base fixed itself? Because when I was involved things were going downhill, but after looking at the new bitshares.org website and other materials it seems that things have gotten more professional.

And if someone could also explain to me what the heck is going on with Bitshares 2.0 that would be nice to :)

I'll keep digging through forum posts on here in the meantime. Thanks! Would like to get back in if things have gotten more professional around here.

General Discussion / Re: why price BTS drop so much ,what is wrong

Investors seem to be losing confidence in BTS.

Litecoin was pumped by a large pump and dump group. At least that's what I heard in the chat rooms.

Are these QQ chat rooms or IRC ?

Chat room in Poloniex.

If coinbase starts selling LTC thats great, because then its not hard to move from that to coinbase selling more cryptos such as BTS.
We don't want them to trade BTS .. we want them to USE bitUSD and establish a gateway :)

Exactly. BTS is not the product, bitUSD is.

Technical Support / Re: Bitshares Client doesn't synchronize fully
« on: January 25, 2015, 01:14:04 am »
Dear Sir or Ma'am,

I am currently running v0.4.27.2 for my Bitshares client (appears to be the most current) and for well over 3 days the blockchain hasn't fully synchronized. Currently on the status bar it is showing "Catching up... processing 1575644 of 161588. The 1575644 has stayed like that continuously but the total blockchain amount is incrementing. The yield amounts in my wallet has stayed the same as well. Is there anything I can do? Should I roll back the version of client? I tried to reset the database but that hasn't helped either. Any information or assistnace you can provide would be great. Thanks

You need to update to the newest version.

General Discussion / Re: What's actually going on?
« on: January 23, 2015, 01:12:01 am »
Ok so we need the following

- A roadmap graphic
- A comprehesive website maybe new bitshares.org will be it
- Subforum for web/mobile/light weight clients development

Please chime in with more points

We should make a roadmap with specific deadlines, however we are still really early in the development of Bitshares. Its only been 6 months since we actually launched the BTS wallet.

I think right now we need to focus on the community. We need die hard early adopters right now who are on the forums actively voting with their stake, brainstorming ideas, helping new users, supporting new projects etc.

Its the community that will really determine whether BTS is a success.

I thought there was a hard cap for Bitshares. 3.7 billion.

Doge does look like a good buy. Hopefully we will see another pump into the 200+ range.

General Discussion / Re: Account 'bter' please return funds

I don't think he will be returning the funds. If you register the name "bter" then you would want someone to get tricked so you can make some money off it.
