I remember something about a lightweight wallet being released this month or next month. That should help.

I think pay coin will go away and that litecoin will slowly die off. Leaving us in the 3rd position.

I think that we are going to hit #3 while our market cap is under 30 million.  This crypto bear market is just ridiculous and refuses to end.

Baron Rothschild, an 18th century British nobleman and member of the Rothschild banking family, is credited with saying that "The time to buy is when there's blood in the streets."

+5% Great quote Stan. Its true, buy during uncertainty.

I will try to talk to one of them if I can!

Do you think I should import the json file into the computer i'm already using or import onto a new computer?

I am not sure and don't want you to mess up your account. I would PM "Toast" or "Xeroc".

General Discussion / Re: Devshares BTER snapshot?
« on: January 10, 2015, 07:52:46 pm »
BM stated that it is totally up to the exchanges and that he doesn't want to make extra work for them. So I would expect no.

Hmm.. A lot of other people held their BTS on BTER because that was the day of the PLAY snapshot. Why couldn't you guys just do a new snapshot? Why use November 5th?

General Discussion / Devshares BTER snapshot?

Bytemaster said he did the new devshares snapshot based on November 5th but I had my BTS on BTER during that time. Is BTER going to redeem them for me?

The client has randomly opened once before when I was hashing in the passphrase. I'm hoping it will do it once more so I can send my funds to another account.

It seems the same thing is happening to me as it did to you.

Thanks I might take a look into cracking passwords, I know for a fact the new password I have is the one I typed into the console since I took a photo of it after it gave me the OK.

I'm young and terrible with programming! I was thinking I could just import the older json file (which has all my funds on it) with my old passphrase and see if that works?

Thanks

That should work. Since the password is just encrypting the json file. You might want to talk to one of the devs so they can fix the bug in the next version.

Okay that makes sense. So I3 fixed the bug and then burned their own funds to cover the mistake?

I just use BTER. There is low trading volume on Poloniex. You should open a support ticket, or just ask about it in the chat box.

Seems like this user has done several large wall burns with the memo "correcting share supply". Why?

+5% Awesome. Thanks for adding the asset yields to Bitsharesblocks.

The problem with Speedy's solution is that the wallet only remains cold until one need's to make a transfer. The only way to transfer is to make the cold wallet hot thereby breaking security. There needs to be cold/hot wallet splitting and offline signing features.

Maybe you could split your BTS over 10 or 20 accounts/addresses. That way when you do pull out the BTS from cold storage it is a smaller amount that you can spend, while the other 19 accounts are still in cold storage.

General Discussion / Re: Referral Program Starting Today

Just be careful with this referral program. It can open another straw man argument of Bitshares being a "ponzi scheme". So just be careful.

Also the fees should go 100% to the network in my opinion. The DAC needs to make as much profit as possible.

That article says that bitUSD are backed by 1.5 to 2x in BTS .. isn't that incorrect? @bytemaster

Yeah I thought bit assets had a 300% backing.

How would he add value to Bitshares?
