The feed type is significant:

for example - can be a wide difference between:

BitGold has large spread, it will be a problem to pool operator to buy bitGold, also bitUSD has higher yield compare to bitGold.
Its getting tighter. If the required support for bitUSD is achieved, please add bitGold as a mineable option asap. I think it would have added appeal.

Daily feed better than no feed at all?

General Discussion / Re: Educational DAC

"The coin of DAC -- Cognition -- like BTS"

You will need a ThoughtLicense though, to operate this DAC. Winston and Julia style. Simple, no hassle to obtain, just simple requirements are proposed:

a) a background check of all employees, relatives and pets
b) fingerprint and footprint submissions
c) a bond held in BitGold, and also in BitSilver (BitOil up for discussion)
d) 20 years of record keeping
e) mandatory 'real-time' reviews via telescreen
f) full disclosure of material thought risks

yeah but i slipped writing it already fixed, thanks for aclaration

im talking about tokens not coins

All Tokens ("ThoughtTokens") will require a ThoughtLicense, even if the user of the token does not reside on the same planet as the recipient of the thought.

General Discussion / Re: Bitgold at Bitreserve.org

Yeah, they claim to have a trademark on it too, which they don't.
So we have that trademark?

nope.

The US Trademark office has taken the position that you can't trademark Bitcoin or BitShares because they are "too descriptive".  (I'm not making this up.)

By that precedent then, they presumably haven't/won't grant trademarks to BitGold, BitSilver, or BitVegimite either.
They are also claiming to have a TM for BitOil, although nothing comes up on searches.

General Discussion / Re: Collecting vested balance in .51 wallet?
« on: January 20, 2015, 10:57:03 pm »
(in 0.5.1 wallet)

This console command appears to be functional:

wallet_collect_vested_balances <account_name>

If you have not imported the relevant original PTS / KeyID / Angel wallets, click on the "My Accounts" vertical menu item on the left side in the wallet, then on the horizontal "Keys" tab. Careful, if you moved stuff around between accounts, this will be reflected in which account is able to capture the sharedrop. Here's a previous thread that contains some relevant info: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=9728.0

Seems stable wallet. I think they've cracked it.

I have 2 accounts within 1 wallet, and the "Keys" tab is not visible on 1. Clicking on the Keys tab brings up the Price Feeds (blank entry). Anything I can do to get this tab back?

On trying to check Keys tab, the Keys tab is not visible - just displays Price Feeds -  wallet_collect_vested_balances command produces 20010 insufficient funds warning.
Not sure what I might be doing wrong. Any suggestions?
edit- the tab is visible on 1 account with the wallet, but not the other.

Wolfram Alpha has a slight (ironic) issue when you search for Bitshares.

There is a feedback option...

Its supposed to be released today.
This thread may be of help: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=12312.new#new

Technical Support / Re: Bitshares frozen sync problem.
« on: January 19, 2015, 05:33:28 pm »
Are you able to sync using v0.4.27.1 and provided extra checkpoint file: https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/releases/tag/v0.4.27.1
This helped me fix a frozen sync issue with v0.5.0. on win 8.1. Was stuck on around 33 days.
I had to close Bitshares client, remove the peers.leveldb folder and the chain folder from AppData\Roaming\BitShares, copy the checkpoints.json folder across, then on restart it sync'd pretty steadily.
I guess in a future release some sort of automatic checkpointing will be more intuitive. Otherwise perhaps more help within the wallet for troubleshooting could be added.
