Voting someone out can take a while because between the time a bad actor(or incompetent actor) present itself and the time for people to get off their butts to take action, 2 weeks can go by before consensus happen.

How could someone "earn a living" by providing a service of voting on behalf of someone else? (A representative business model)

Few minutes ago, I had amazing customer service on elegant theme`s forum.

I've got an idea:

I thought it would be cool if I could send a BitUSD micro payment to this guy to thank him. Just like with ChangeTip.

This guy would be probably happy to have free internet money and then he would be incentivized to go through the process to open a wallet. This wallet has this micropayment functionality and keeps track of the referrals the micropayment bring in.

This wallet would have to be great at inviting people with good copy and an easy sign up process. Then for a viral loop, it would invite the new user to start tipping other and participate in the profit sharing of the wallet. "When you tip and bring in new users, we reward you with x% of all their future transactions"

A smart contract with multisig between the wallet provider and the wallet referrer could split the referral rewards on a monthly basis with a pre-defined x% of it's referral transactions. Everytime someone sends a micropayment the wallet and it's the referrer earns.

The x% would be defined by what is needed for funding development while being high enough to incentivizing it's users to tip.

If such a feature existed in a wallet, a marketer could use this and build a business by signing up people by simply sending tips for good work on the internet. (Fiverr, Content, Youtube, twitter, reddit, email, etc)

Would that interest MoonStone @bitsapphire ?

I am just listening to "Some Other Castle" on Soundtracks for the third time and I am still amaze about how well Dan did.

How about having that interview on the homepage of the current website with a simple embedded soundtrack.
I am an auditive learner and it is painful for people like me to read pages of technical content.
It would boost the amount of time on page, increase SEO and overall communication with the website visitors.

What do you think of the idea?

Who else has the Matrix as one of their top movies?

I can't think of a movie being more relevant to our community than this one. We all took the proverbial red pill at some point. Otherwise we wouldn't be here.

Maybe like me, you enjoyed the first movie of the trilogy but was confused about the trilogy has a whole.

What's the heck is it suppose to mean?

It is clear that the first of the trilogy is about "What is the Matrix". But the more heady stuff of the Matrix Reloaded(the why) and the Matrix Revolution(the How) completely went over the head of most people...including me.

I went on to look for the deeper meaning on different blogs but they were all superficial in nature. (Talking about capitalism vs communism or saying that it was a rehash of the "Allegory of the Cave" of Plato.)

I was mistaken.

If you watch this video, you won't be able to resist to watch this trilogy with a complete different perspective.

After reddit started censoring subreddits, the free market is moving liberty minded people to http://voat.co which is a promising new platform and so far welcoming to crypto-currencies in general.

Now which sub-category do you think we should use? Bitshares(/v/bitshares)? Graphene or Smartcoin(/v/smartcoin)

They are probably hungry for funding their developments...any ideas we could pitch to them to integrate bitshares 2.0 has a way to fund their operations?

Will there be different types of contracts for workers?
Could there be a type contract that is only released upon completion?

This way, we may have "bounties" that anyone in the community could jump on and get rewarded for.

Technical Support / lost funds?

hey guys,

I have been trying to debug my wallet for 5 day straight.

It all started with my wallet not opening after putting in the password...even after a re-install.

So I went forward and deleted bitshares, started from the beginning and then imported my wallet.

Now, my wallet only has a fraction of the previous balance before the bug and my bitusd's doesnt show up.

So I went forward and did the command:
wallet_regenerate_keys cryptoctopus 12000

Still no luck.

Any ideas?

Technical Support / Funds Gone! HELP!

Hi,

Big problem here. I had 57k of BTS. I tried buying MoonFund but cancelled my order because the buy order wasn't working (V0.80). Then problem started to happen. (Cryptoctopus -> Unknown). When I stopped by order for moonfund 67 BTS was now in my wallet but no moonfunds or refund from the market engine.

I moved on to V0.9RC1 yesterday because v8 just kept crashing on me and today. The 57K never came back.
