I nominate DataSecurityNode for some BROWNIE.PTS just for the meta of it all.

Hey hey hey!

Look not all Delegates are great.. but SOME ARE!

Some are just soooo cool, it just doesn't seem right to just click 'vote' for them.

You wish you could sit there for a whole hour and just click VOTE for them because they simply rock!

There must be a better way!

There is! It's the latest and greatest User Issued Asset Called DelegateTip!

Now when you heart your favorite delegate, you can send them a TIP!

I second that. He's a rock.

If Joe Six Pack needs to understand crypto to "use" Bitshares we've failed. He should know as much about crypto as he knows about the underlying protocols used by Visa/MasterCard. Or for a more sophisticated crowed that trades on Scottrade, or any other centralized site, they do not have to know how the back end ledger is implemented.

I am also very happy to see this departure from trying to appease the crypto community. They are small, and close minded. There are bigger fish to fry.

General Discussion / Re: Incentivized voting and polling?
« on: June 28, 2015, 06:24:05 am »
Yeah I thought about rewarding but somehow I don't think someone who owns 20M+ BTS would care about having a few BTS for voting.
While the small holders would feel like it is not worth voting because of their relative "voice" power.

Having a stakes in the game really is what makes me vote anyway.
The fact that I can vote in the future also incentivize me to get as big of a stake as possible before 2.0.

Maybe with DPOS hub, you could gain points/badges based on the amount of votes or polls one participate in?

This tread: Let's jumpstart share based voting / polling! (https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,17204.0.html)

Is a very good idea that I can't wait to see implemented.

I am curious to know if anyone has ideas on how we could reward people for engaging in the process.

Brainstorm!

Excellent idea!

Different people learn best in different ways: doing, reading or listening.
We should try to have all 3 prominently available

I too thought the interview was a great explanation and advert for bts.
The fact that it is the product of a third party and not direct from bts makes it all the more convincing I think

Here's the recording https://letstalkbitcoin.com/blog/post/lets-talk-bitcoin-223-some-other-castle?ref=9b29def8
Exactly what I thought

I am just listening to "Some Other Castle" on Soundtracks for the third time and I am still amaze about how well Dan did.

How about having that interview on the homepage of the current website with a simple embedded soundtrack.
I am an auditive learner and it is painful for people like me to read pages of technical content.
It would boost the amount of time on page, increase SEO and overall communication with the website visitors.

What do you think of the idea?

could it be possible to have that on the forum itself with a bitshares plugin?

Hey Guys...he is currently building MEDICI, a cryptostock exchange built on counterparty.  We need to get him on board.

Hi all,

I am a huge fan of Banx and have been accumulating(more than anybody would recommend :P) and following them closely for quite a few months now.
They have a great team and have been extremely responsive and great in breaking things downs in layman's terms for a simple guy such as myself.
Following closely has now landed me here, in the world of Bitshares, after investigating I can honestly say I am intrigued and ready to hop aboard the Bitshares community as well. I am so excited to be here early for Bitshares 2.0! Woot!

Hit me up in the Banx.io chat if you see me, I am Drinkzya.

I am buying ever more since the announcement and will continue to do so every paycheck until launch. Gotta buy'em while they are cheap. I dont believe announcements have anything to do with the price. Only whales dumping and buying low.

That somehow made me lukewarm about blockchain technology.  :o
