less than 8 days left for the AGS snapshot .. maybe we should organize some crypto marketing to get PTS rise a little ... or maybe not :D

Thats not a bad idea, a few tweets might do it

Muse/SoundDAC / Re: Best MUSIC DAC launch model for 2014?
« on: October 02, 2014, 05:52:18 am »

I don't think accepting bitusd at stage is going to increase liquidity for bitusd in the short run. If anything, it's gonna suck bitusd out of btsx. The only people at this stage that are donating bitsud are people who already have bitusd. I dont see someone new going through the trouble btc->bitsx->bitusd->music dac when they can just go btc->music directly. After going to the music DAC directly, then they may be inclined to learn more about btsx and bitusd.

I totally agree with this statement. btc -> music is much easier than btc -> btsx -> bitusd -> music, especially for non-bitshares people.

Are Notes going be tradeable in the BitsharesX client?

General Discussion / Re: sign in change.org for amazon accept bitcoin
« on: September 17, 2014, 06:24:15 pm »
You can already spend bitcoin on amazon.

Gyft.com sells amazon gift cards for bitcoin.
Its pretty cool, you can checkout and go get a gyft card in under 5 minutes.

Purse.io also lets you buy your amazon order with bitcoin, it takes a while but gives a discount.

If you time the price fluctuations lately you can get some good deals.

General Discussion / Re: Web of Trust + Account Feedback
« on: September 14, 2014, 11:59:15 pm »
I am really not a fan.  I don't want my transaction volume, or trading habits visible to anyone that has my account name.  I also am concerned with the governing body that would be required to officiate such a system.  Even if it is just based on forum posts or something like that.

Requiring users to burn a certain amount of BTSX with the strength of their vote being dependent upon how much BTSX they burn is a step in the right direction.  I would still rather see the bter account problem solved by those that are directly involved though.  Why does Bter.com not have a link you can click to fill out your wallet?  Why aren't users copy pasting the address?

I agree, exchange accounts should not be turned into social media accounts with public stats...

I thought Keyhotee was supposed to be the Identity\Reputation management platform.
Aren't there already plans to integrate Keyhotee that would cover these types of features?

You can update from in the client now, this will repair it.
Go to File\Check for Updates, and it will patch the client for you.

IDs are not transferrable.

Since when?
How would you prevent the transfer of a username/password/keyfile between parties?

General Discussion / Re: BitShares X Status Update
« on: March 19, 2014, 05:25:20 pm »
Can you update the OP with status updates rather than just adding to the 500+ comments? Or just start a new thread, pin it and un-pin the old ones. The message gets convoluted in-between the on and off-topic replies.

As a matter of fact, you shouldn't even allow us to reply to your updates. Just let everyone start their own thread with their concerns or questions.

+1
At least update the original/first post, so everyone doesn't have to dig through all this every week to find out what is going on.
Come on, put some effort into making this easier on supporters.

Thanks for part of the answer guys.

This is why there is not more support for PTS, and no big jump in price before the snapshot, it is just too much work to figure out what is going on.

There are also lots of unanswered questions about todays event on the Reddit thread.

An official post with clear instructions both here and at reddit would be appropriate and is expected.

BitShares PTS / Re: Hash of snapshot block
« on: March 01, 2014, 03:17:46 am »
What people are asking for is an Official Announcement that it has occurred.

This should be an exciting event that is advertised positively through official channels.
(For example, a positive twitter, a website update, a forum sticky, and a reddit forum announcement.)

BitShares PTS / Re: Price
« on: February 28, 2014, 11:00:40 pm »
The price is going down because the only official announcement was a twitter, that said THIS   Caution: Watch for Falling PTS
Here is the link   https://twitter.com/_bitshares/status/439258784490590209

Most people will not read that article, they will only see the twitter.
Great marketing...

BitShares PTS / What exchanges support Bitshares X
« on: February 28, 2014, 10:13:32 pm »
What exchanges will be supporting or are planning to support BitsharesX when they are available on March 2?

If there are no exchanges, has a buy/sell/trade area been setup? Is anyone doing escrow?

BitShares PTS / Where are the PTC to BTS announcements and instructions?
« on: February 28, 2014, 06:39:09 pm »
Once again I come here looking for information and have to dig through forums for vague answers from forum participants, instead of a quick clean answer from an official source. I expected at least a STICKY forum post with this info.

Where are the official instructions for the Time the snapshot is taken, and how to export and save your keys?

Where is the official new Bitshares wallet download location, and instructions on how to import your keys?

Where is the advertising and announcements that this is even occurring?

Why do you not make this easy for the general public to access and understand?
