Any news ?

Also interested in. Which one will be the first bitusd gateway?

Interested in this as well.  Also, we have at least 4 people heading to the Miami conference tomorrow.  Do you see any benefit of pointing potential gateway partners to a central document while they are there?  Everyone from Coinbase to OKCoin will be present.

BitShares is difficult to understand as a whole, I like the idea of breaking up the marketing into manageable chunks.  We can better tailor the message and measure which parts of our message are resonating with the audience.

General Discussion / Re: NuBits is a Ponzi [BLOG POST]

Are we intentionally looking for reasons to push people away from us? I just don't understand the approach.  Whether true or not, we look desperate and causes people like Toast to apologize in the NuBits forum.  Mixed messages cause investors to look for the door.

I think you could have explained it fairly (as you do) without using the Ponzi label (which is unnecessarily sensationalist). To me, that implies fraud beyond the design of NuBots. It imputes some dishonest intentions. I'd prefer to believe that the NuBots people are honest, even if it's a flawed design that relies on IOUs. Aside from that criticism, the article is well-written.
I agree, I don't think it is wise or very classy to call out our competitors in that manner.   First rule... never call your competitors by name....or sling mud directly.  Its not good for PR.   I would pull this post and rewrite.

Fireworks would shoot out my ass in celebration if Stan or BtsWildPig took a quick read of BM's blog or any major announcements before posting. We'd save ourselves a lot of pain.

Hopefully so busy developing, no time to update.

General Discussion / Re: Bounty Idea
« on: January 14, 2015, 08:06:10 am »
Why dont you offer that bounty to the first famous BTC/USD exchange that becomes a BTS gateway.

If your going to offer a up a 1 million BTS bounty it should probably be for this.

Anyone from the community attending the event? I'm not as concerned about core devs, they have their hands full.

I never got the feeling that developers were spending their time arguing on forums.  It is amusing how perspectives differ.

Yes , it's amusing how tons of people came to the same perspectives  , including those who have been with Bitshares for longer than a year .
And the market is acting base on that perspectives  .

Maybe that's because BM openly said that he won't be coding ? And knowing what kind of great skill that BM has brought to the table , that would make the project less easier to achieve in the planed schedule before the critical time of ETH launching ?

Bitcoin -13.93%
BitShares -13.36%
Stellar -13.14%
NXT -15.15%
Counterparty -15.11%

If you're watching the Github, there's big progress continuing on the wallet.  As for arguing in the forums, I think Stan (who is not a developer) is doing a great job bringing attention to Bitshares.  I believe the Nullstreet guys are doing a great job on their side as well.  We're beating a dead horse, everything is making steady progress.

General Discussion / Re: why price BTS drop so much ,what is wrong

Not enough good news, all the progress is invisible to anyone who doesn't look at github.

Even I read the github everyday, I still confused about the developing progress.
Not offensive, I am not a programmer, just a normal investor and I had faith on BTS.

I remembered in the last year, version"0.4.9" is planned to release nearby Christmas.
BM said it's not “passive estimation” , it's a "conservative estimation"  and "very close to 1.0".

After the "fork issue" happened, the release date is rearranged to 11th,February.

Postpone is quite normal for 3I. I really really want to know a precise date for 1.0 released.

I am very frustrated..
the version number is ARBITRARY .. and with voting for hard forks to upgrade the blockchain the number 1.0 tells you nothing ..
what counts is that the wallet is heavily under developed and lot's of bugs get squeezed everyday with plenty of nice features coming in ..

I give you a hint of what I mean exactly:
1) open up the client
2) go to console
3) type "help" and hit enter
4) read through ALL the commands there already are ..
6) no figure that: 4 months back there have been like 20 commands only

history of the wallet commands: https://github.com/BitShares/bitshares/commits/master/libraries/api/wallet_api.json

Nailed it.

Daedelus is a fantastic for BitShares, I couldn't be happier about his many hours on Bitcointalk.  He's helped us achieve over 2600 hits.

I'm not sure how focusing so much energy on BitShares benefits NXT holders. Regardless, I respect the work of the NXT developers and wish them all the best.

Oh .. i didnt know freetrade is know.... though i think you get the message

Of course. I saw Stan talking about that in one of the Bitcointalk threads with the Cheers logo 'when everybody knows your name'. :)

Any other crypto known besides bitcoin that is developed by known individuals?

Freetrade, sunnyking ... all annonymous

David Zimbeck (@dzimbeck) ?

:-*  That is why we do what we do for over a year now!

Yes! Have we communicated that collectively the way Stan presented it?  Pickering back and forth between communities doesn't move us any closer to either parity's goals. I think it's just a good reminder, especially for myself, that while our developers can't be involved in every single Bitshares thread that pops up on Bitcointalk, we are open to taking questions.

You are doing such an amazing job with it, I look forward to seeing members from other communities asking the tough questions. Would love to see questions discussing how our systems compare to BitHalo's smart contracts and NXT's monetary system as just one example.
