So if I had PTS from the pts snapshot and it was initially 1.33xPTS is it now 500X1.33xPTS amount of XTS given to my key in the snapshot?

Would be nice to have this info available somewhere in the clear...

It will take some time.. the site will provide profit back to devcoin via funding a community wallet to be used for future purposes. So what I had to do was create some auctions which I bought with bitcoins.. therefor to avoid exchange fees I only wanted to accept bitcoins for these so I creAted special bids (dvc bids and ltc btc bids) You can purchase btc bids with bitcoins and dvc
bids with devcoins (same usd value) but only some of the auctions like the devcoin funded ones or ones I decide like the amazon gift cards are biddable if you have dvc bids.. all are biddable with btc bids.. this overcame the hurdle for me and now I can add almost infinite auctions.

The Peercoin community is good people. FuzzyBear is who introduced me to DevToMe, and Peercoin is a great coin, I hold a bit of it as well as the angelshares I've bought.

It's so encouraging to see two good teams working on this. I know both are going to release great products.

EDIT: I should clarify-- that's from the perspective of one who sees the good this project could potentially offer humanity.

As someone seeking profit I'd benefit more from Bitshares winning this race.

Devtome is for devcoin do u earn devcoins?

yessir

Im source admin.. I also devved devcoinauctions.com... howver one big problem with accepting devcoins is there is very limited liquidity and no price asset stability so im forced to accept btc ltc to source my inventory.. Hopefully these guys can come up with something.

I thought ripple had something in the works thru their ripple gateway project and coinpayments admin was talking about how it would do exactly this.. so if I want to sell 1 million dvc i can do so at current prices without affecting the limited market depth.

General Discussion / Re: PoS Cryptocurrency wtih No Blockchain
« on: June 04, 2014, 06:28:22 am »
1) Complex agent vester negotations open up possible network attacks.
2) No blockchain but a static datalist of 36 megs for 1 million accounts.
a) no history stored by network
b) Cant resync myself with my private key
3) Hash calculation of the 36 meg datalist? Could be intensive as more accounts sign up and network activity ramps up at the same time.

Some questions I have.. is the balance view a one time snapshot and then transactions are rolled into blocks?
Is there even a blockchain at all?
How would I be able to resync my corrupt wallet if there is no blockchain and I didnt store transactions locally(imported private key into another platform).. This may be something useful in the future.

Thats so amateur! Yes go ahead and
buy so I can sell to u for a quick buck. Whos going to buy when everyone is thinking the same thing? Only way is if there is a service implemented to offer utility then that iis what its worth... but usually devs will price it in before announcement so really its not a wise move unless you wanna get caught holding bags.

Its not tested how can you trust it?

Its just interim so KGW should suffice it does what we need it to do... Whats the verdict do I go test now or wait if we arent even gonna do it?

I downloaded client from the ANN thread and it doesnt sync so you may want to updte that link if said clien is old and 1.0.0 has new seeds. Even the add nodes dont work.

1332
Is there nodes running the testnet? Ip?

Or do I have to do a test in a box approach.. creating a new testnet?

Also give me a list of good nodes on live.. preferabble dns.. Ill update the dnsseed list so client connects without add adding nodes manually. The ann thread has some nodes but they dont connect. This is unacceptable.

Ok... I will offer a 500 PTS bounty for the best solution to this problem.   Testz, as the maintainer, of PTS right now will be responsible for reviewing and applying it and producing a release.

In the mean time, we should have an updated checkpoint ASAP to minimize any damage from potential attacks.

I offer the fix with checkpoint using kimoto gravity well implementation.. github.com/sidhujag/PTS

But testz said bounty isnt valid and to test it myself.

Are you going back on your word here or whats going on?

You can break up that 500 PTS and send out as transaction fees. That alone should be enough to tide over the problem; not to mention will also generate a buzz.

With only 20% left to mine, it doesn't seem worth the trouble to hard fork it. Even if you do, if you are just paying to implement KGW, then 500 PTS sounds a lot (though the challenges may be different 'coz this is not just any scrypt coin, and so maybe worth it).

By looks of it it can get exponentially harder to solve a block as people stop mining, especially around the retarget time... so may not be right to think linearly that only 20% is left when on the timescale of PTS lifetime it may seem alot longer.

No worries timewarp bug is already in there from btc 0.8.5 base...

Can we use the testnet to test the new algo?

Checkpoints and algo done...
