I am actually against this. OpenLedger is a for-profit company, they can pay for their marketing themselves. Why would a BTS holder subsidize their business?!

and other centralized exchanges can't pay for it because...?

We, as a community, have always put forward the market-pegged assets (which are awesome in their own right), but UIAs actually solve a lot of problems for a lot of people, so maybe marketing efforts should focus a bit more on them in the future.

great observation, this is backed by the revenue report. UIA are always #1 in terms of money

I watched what happened while binance promoting YOYO, I believe we should pay for similar things.

yeah, short term. or do you really think they gained investors that way? I would argue that this is just a very short term goal to temporary rise the price. You get nothing out of it for throwing money at daytraders, after the event they will dump and move on.

What exchanges?

I'd expect this gig to be exclusive on BitShares DEX, no reason to feed the competition with free money/marketing

Could we pay some worker in BitUSD borrowed by the committee? That would increase the amount of BitUSD in circulation. Now we are doing the opposite: buying BitUSD from the market to pay for workers. So workers are effectively exaggerating the problem.

workers are already paid in bitusd via escrows

bitshares has 200k transactions per day, so do you think this issue is a blockchain problem or a user problem?

there are lots of possible problems, so you should start checking your settings.

eg.

bad vpn/firewall?
are you on the testnet for whatever reason?
does your password work?
changed the nodes?
tried another wallet?
