I don't think that committee members should be required to take any part in marketing. Their job is to set blockchain parameters and that's enough for a nonpaid work.

Also Cryptonomex seems to be uninterested in marketing so accounts might be left underused if they are given to them.

Right now the best option might be that you'll gather a group of people who are interested and can post relevant stuff every now and then. I use Facebook quite regularly so I can be admin there if needed.

Maybe you could first ask donations to cover you expenses before you make the worker proposal? All donations you collect makes the worker less expensive so it gets voted in more easily.

I agree xeroc or crytonomex wouldn't be good at or have the time for marketing.
I'm saying it should be owned by cryptonomex or the committee, but key people who are good at marketing can post from the account so the news is fresh and varied. Yet if one person gets too spam happy the committee will be able to stop it.

Hello @JonnyBitcoin . This seems like perfect timing. We would love the New Money project to have access to the Bitshares accounts. A man can only work so many hours before he must put his faith and resources into another man to see larger returns than he alone can achieve by himself. This is time tested and the fundamental truth of what humans have come to term as "investing" or believing in someone else's dream that they are "selling". Whether you call it "selling a dream" or not no idea whether its goes through a crowdsale or not starts out as a reality or actuality. It starts out as a dream or concept or aka not there lol

The difference with people like me, Vitalik and ByteMaster is we show the dream not just selling it with words. Individuals can SEE where we are trying to go. And that is a powerful medium. I keep saying this because people keep forgetting Ethereum started out with ONE TEN MINUTE VIDEO and a WHITE PAPER THAT IS NOW CONSIDERED VAPORWARE But they sold a dream individuals could believe in and enough people rallied around it to make it a reality even though they started with vaporware. The same can be said about Bitshares and even Bitcoin. No technology or concept starts out perfect or with one person. Everyone forgets the excruciating amounts of iteration that goes into these projects.

Yes we are not starting out as "perfect" but we have a goal that is too powerful to ignore "a mainstream alternative to the Dollar" starting in an industry on its knees begging for disruption. That my friend is a powerful dream and one that people are buying because they understand the simple potential of it and see I have a vision and skills to get us there.

But I'm not perfect. AND LIKE ALL MEN I CANNOT ACHIEVE THIS ALONE. I need other individuals with impressive skills to believe in this as anyone who has ever lived and tried to achieve a dream does. It is fundamental to the human experience. Could Vitalik have coded Ethereum by himself? Or taken it to the market cap it has achieved by himself? Lets be real. How about Dan? People must believe in other's dreams. "Crowdsale" is a distraction. At the end of the day we must believe in others...

Rather than harp on what negativity might come lets try and stay positive and look at the bright side of what this project has done in less than three days. I mean the BitcoinTalk community is actually being CIVIL with us and they know I'm from Bitshares. If that's not a miracle I don't know what is  :D

Thanks for the post. I understand where the author is coming from. But its up to all of us to recognize diamonds surrounded by heaps of dirt when we see it. Is this project a diamond? That's up for you to choose. I've laid my dream out there. People are rallying behind it.  Believe in it or not. Either way we will succeed. Just like Ethereum.

For the ICO We will not be selling SOLCERTS at a lower price than the Pre-Sale. That is pretty much suicide (investment wise). We are actually holding the ICO because unfortunately we cannot gauge when and where people will actually here about the project. It seems like the more people hear about it the better. We are actually doing much better than we expected to do now with out our PR push thats coming in the next few days who knows what may happen.

But imagine you are new and you hear about the project late and want to buy in but they burned the rest of the supply. Its not that you were on the fence its that you just did not know about the project.

I say that to say I want as many individuals to participate in this project as possible. We are not trying to replicate Bitcoin and its investment environment. We want to be more inclusive of more individuals. We dont want that reputation of a thousand individuals owning all of our supply. That is not a currency for mass adoption in my opinion. Its a different philosophy of what most crypto-heads are used to hearing but that's why what we are doing is New Money and not another crypto-currency. Hope this helps.

Thank you for clarifying.  If I understand it right, if there's any time to buy, it's now.  Each level the price goes up and even with the unsold tokens, those won't be sold under the high presale price.  So for example the people that bought in the 2nd and 3rd tier are watching their value go up every day or two that it jumps another tier.  If that's the case, it makes sense.

Thanks for diving deep.  ;D Yes 1 SoLCert essentially equals one future Sollar through the Sollar Bond. But that is too complicated to explain to most people. At the end of the day a SOLCERT is a future Sollar. Sollars and Sense will be a stable unlimited supply coin as we are trying to be a currency with it and not a commodity like Bitcoin or Bitshares. Our commodity is SOLCERTS and Sollar Bonds. That is more like Bitshares or a speculative asset. One can use SoLCerts/Sollar Bonds to speculate on the value of the future Sollar against the future Dollar. If you believe the Dollar will be here forever then no need to follow this project. Whether Sollars supply gets to 1 Trillion or 60 Trillion like the Dollars market cap will all depend on adoption of the currency by regular everyday consumers. It is my 10 year goal to get it to 1 Trillion. And to start on that path is with SOLCERTS and Millennials. This is no different except that we are creating a mainstream alternative with a brand to actually take on the Dollar. I'm still a tad bit confused @xeroc So I have included the current selling orders we plan to put up for this first auction. Here they are:

.50bts @ 45,000 SOLCERTS each
.75bts @ 45,000 SOLCERTS each
1.00bts @ 450,000 SOLCERTS each
1.05bts @ 450,000 SOLCERTS each
1.25bts @ 2,000,000 SOLCERTS each
2.00bts @500,000 SOLCERTS each
2.50bts @ 1,000,000 SOLCERTS each
3.00bts @ 500,000 SOLCERTS each
5.00bts @ 1,000,000 SOLCERTS each
10.00bts @ 500,000 SOLCERTS each
15.00bts @500,000 SOLCERTS each
20.00bts @500,000 SOLCERTS each
25.00bts @500,000 SOLCERTS each
30.00bts @500,000 SOLCERTS each
50.00bts @500,000 SOLCERTS each

Now in order for all these transactions to actually transact a BTS fee has to be paid on both sides of the transaction? So for example if a bunch of people bought 45,000 SoLCerts at .5BTS a piece we would both have to pay a BTS fee for that transaction? If it is the case that yes we do. Then are you saying the blockchain will look to take that fee from the issuers fee pool? For instance my fee pool?

And further more if the fee pool has no funds then the blockchain will instead look to charge me in SOLCERTS? Am I reading that correctly? Let me know

@DestBest I put up our current plans for sell orders so you could have an actual working example. Now that you see it what is the recommendation for CER?

I know this all may seem basic to you all but I'm learning here. I learn fast but have to ask the dumb questions to become an expert. Bare with me. Thanks

The CER is the rate at which SOLCERT are exchanged for BTS (in the fee pool) in order to pay the fees to the blockchain (in BTS) when you do a transfer or put up an order.

You need to keep your fee pool filled with BTS and you can withdraw SOLCERT (fees) from the fee pool.

Thanks for the reply! Yes the almost 23,000 SOLCERT fee is certainly waaay too high. I guess I am still a little confused as how to calculate bringing it down. I see CER option in the asset type. So do I have to fund the pool? So that the blockchain charges me in BTS and not SOLCERTS? Or do I have to change the "Quote Asset Amount" compared to the "Base Asset Amount"? Let me know. Thanks!
