Hi Brian,

This is exactly what everyone here wanted to hear and I think you're really the type who can get a whole crowd behind an idea, thumbs up, I can't wait for what's going to happen next year! If you have some tasks which involves web(sites/apps) or clean UI design I would be happy to take them on. Cheers and keep up the good work!

Please be aware however that this might be a way to see who's owning a particular amount of coins since your  address is now linked to your username here on the forum. Most of the times there's a catch when people giving out 'free money' so if you want to be sure to keep your earnings private u'd better create a new address if you haven't already done so.

General Discussion / Re: Should we be calling it BitShares?
« on: December 16, 2013, 01:58:31 pm »
I think Bitshares is exactly how it should be called. Bit is not of course not exclusively linked to Bitcoin and I don't think a company or product should be named after the availability of a domain name. Take a look at the Firefox browser for example for years this domain was taken by a different company and that worked out quite good as well.

Nice ideas, I think Twitter can be a nice tool to get more exposure , I think a dedicated forum would sufficient as well broken down like this:

Root
  -Project / Project percentage (i.e. Keyhotee 75%)
     -Task / Task percentage (i.e. Programming 50%)

Of course you could add as many childs as needed. Discussions can be made on project and task leven but everyone will see at a glimpse how far it's coming along and if they wish to dive in deeper they can. Just my 2 cents!

I like he sword for the T in Keyhotee...  I like the more abstract over the fighting night.

I will work some more on the abstract version, maybe mix it with the ones I posted after, it looks a bit more serene and professional indeed.

Another try now with more realistic data such as loading bar and a quick balance summary. I want to use this example to show it would be great to have a dynamic splash/loading screen. The header and footer will always be the same but the middle part is dynamic. This can be a nice way to bring out a quick news headline, have rotating splash images or let the user base participate in creating splash screens. A bit in the way google changes his logo or the bing search engine changes it's background image on a daily base. When there's no splash screen available it can jump back to the default logo and loadingbar.

First sketch for clean splashscreen version with a dandelion standing for decentralization (Breaking away from the controlled center)

Different clean take on medieval theme, sorry for the jagged edges on the horseman but please note this is just some raw impressions

More to come!

I'd love to test. Is there any news concerning what's in the pipeline for us? Or in which fields so you can divide testing in targeted skill-sets (security, load tests/speed, UI etc)? Thanks and keep up the great work.

Keyhotee / Keyhotee account storage (Possible feature request)
« on: December 11, 2013, 05:32:28 pm »
Please correct me if I'm wrong but let's say my computer crashes or I get hacked. What will happen to my Keyhotee ID, I think I will lose it together with every message or funds I might have at the time? If this is the case it might be a good idea to give advanced users the option to add trustees to their account. So let's say you'll lose it all you could ask your (2 or more) trustees to vouch for you and when they both do everything you'll have does get transferred back to you. I know the initial design doesn't allow ID transfers and I honestly have no idea how the actual implementation would be like but users do get hacked and make mistakes and it would be a shame if that would make them lose everything they have.

[EDIT]I'm sorry there was already a topic covering a similar question, funny that you'll always see it AFTER you click 'Post' :)
