Follow My Vote / Re: Follow My Vote are running a Kickstarter campaign
« on: April 18, 2016, 08:35:13 pm »
I don't see a reason on why to invest in this Kickstarter campaign.
@ak Please give us a way to invest in FMV but do not try to sell us Honor, Pictures of Coffee Cups (ridiculous) and MERIT's.
Seriously!

Is there a decentralized component in coinsbank?

It's nice to have, but personally I have no use case for such a service.

Bitland has confirmed that the software suite will utilize Factom software to track and record land titles.

Actually I first thought it is a great idea but the following reasons hold me back to invest in Bitland:
  • Nothing to show (Alpha/Beta/Screenshots/Mockups/Nothing)
  • Whitepaper quality is very bad in my opinion
  • Overall presentation
  • I still have no idea how to get a ROI

I have hope, but not enough to trust you with my money at this stage...

Looks like the logical evolution (merger) of OpenLedger to me and I doubt CCEDK, OpenLedger AND Coinsbank will exist in parallel for long, if Coinsbank will succeed.
Edit: +5 @ccedk

Technical Support / Re: "MY MARKETS" page: suggestions for improvement
« on: April 06, 2016, 11:36:29 am »
Inspired by the NASDAQ listing standards I think it would be great to have the default set of assets listed on "my market" based on a set of certain conditions.

For example an asset needs a certain volume/value over period of time for at least X consecutive business days and in case of smartcoins a minimum number of price-feed providers etc.

The basic set of rules should be defined by the committee to provide a basic rating for assets.
However GUI providers should still be able to override or define their own rating rules.

A blockchain based rating for assets would help all users to quickly identify which assets meet the BitShares standard criteria.

Thoughts?

Status?
Does that include a basic set of conditions to create transaction rules in the GUI?

General Discussion / Re: idea WBA - Work Backed Asset
« on: March 15, 2016, 10:23:46 pm »
This is not a new idea. Ethereum has a computation market in development, SAFE Network intends to have one, Ceptr is one, Tauchain is one, and you have Enigma trying to do it on Bitcoin.
Cool, did't know the competition in this field is already so hot.

Well there are some projects that get free resources from their community but there is also a huge market for computing resources like AWS, Azure etc.
I believe there is a niche in between.

General Discussion / idea WBA - Work Backed Asset
« on: March 15, 2016, 09:22:45 am »
What do you think about a WBA - Work Backed Asset (not sure if that's the best name).
Imagine every organization that needs computing power could use a BitAsset instead its own chain/network.

Create WBA -> define pay rate etc. -> set task/source
Users could choose which project they like to support with their own computing resources by just selecting it.
This would attract many organizations that need computing power but are not willing/able to develop/maintain their own alt-coin chain.
And people had a one-stop shop to select between dozen of WBA's to earn from.

field of application
* health care sector
* astronomy
* math

I can confirm their is a problem with OL.
tried to register receiver1 on OL -> failed unknown error (tried 2 times)
in the same browser session on bitshares.org/wallet -> no problem
Sad issue.
"could you take a look at your local settings in the wallet and verify that you have `https` in the faucet url?
If not, please add an "s" and retry!"
See https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,21761.msg283861.html#msg283861
that did the trick. should be able to fix quick!
