I was having a similar issue and deleted all of the folders and files in the %appdata% location as described (except wallet folder) and it started syncing, but now it is stuck again.

It has been "Last block was synced 174d 8h 37m 4s ago" for over an hour and is still saying "Sever Network Problems".

Is there anything else I can do to resolve this?

Looks like you need more nodes, in console (console located under settings menu) enter following commands:
Quote
addnode "178.62.88.151:58223" add
addnode "46.226.13.125:1776" add
addnode "84.238.140.192:42577" add
addnode "86.9.151.88:1776" add
addnode "217.23.13.138:51985" add
addnode "46.226.15.26:40706" add
addnode "176.9.13.13:1776" add
addnode "86.9.151.88:54335" add
addnode "42.96.186.61:1776" add
addnode "176.9.234.166:1776" add
addnode "114.92.254.159:1776" add
addnode "68.148.96.198:1700" add
addnode "66.172.11.223:1700" add
addnode "107.170.220.18:1776" add
addnode "178.62.50.61:1777" add
addnode "45.115.36.171:1776" add
addnode "173.20.123.161:54827" add

Thanks.  It took awhile but everything finally synced.  I am so looking forward to version 2.0.

Technical Support / Re: !!! Stupid Questions Thread !!!
« on: November 15, 2014, 04:56:14 pm »
Ok really stupid question.   I installed the BTSX client back in July and imported by PTS and BTC wallets which gave me my share in BTSX.   Now with the merger and the client and vesting etc. do I need to do anything?  Should I get additional shares?   I really have no idea what is going anymore.

I installed the latest BTS client and my original balance from BTSX is still there so that is good.   I reimported my BTC and PTS wallets thinking there were additional shares going to be added that would then vest over the next 2 years but nothing changed.   Is there some process I need to do or is everything pretty much supposed to stay the same?

So this is all very confusing to me.  Will it be more beneficial for me to hold PTS or to convert it all into BitsharesX based on this allocation?   I don't have a ton of PTS so I am not too worried about it but I don't fully understand how this allocation is going to pan out.

Alright, so I am having another similar issue that maybe someone is familiar with.   I donated BTC again to the angelshares address and this time it does not show up an AGSExplorer at all when I search for my bitcoin address.   I checked blockchain.info and searched my address and found the transactions, however it appears in the blockchain that my transaction went to a different address and then from that address to the angelshares address.   I searched this second address on AGSExplorer and it does show the transaction.   I checked the listaddressgroupings in the bitcoin-qt client and that address is there.   My question is why does this new address not show up in AGSExplorer when I search my primary bitcoin address?   It make this really confusing and not really clear as to whether I will get credit for these donations.

Actually I just found my answer in this post https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=3125.msg39295#msg39295

"Yes, this AGS will still be confirmed as yours.  Internally wallets use additional addresses to receive change from transactions, but they don't show up as receive addresses in the GUI.  The address is still stored in your wallet, so you'll still be able to claim your stake with it.

If you go into the Debug menu console tab and type: listaddressgroupings

You should see a list of your underlying addresses."

I checked the listaddressgroupings in the bitcoin client and the other 2 addresses to show up.   All is good in the world again.

BitShares AGS / AGSexplorer highlighted address not an address I recognize
« on: February 26, 2014, 02:07:29 pm »
So I donated a small amount of BTC to the bitcoin angelshares address. When I look up my balance on http://www1.agsexplorer.com/ it does find my address and shows that I have a balance, however there are 2 other addresses along with mine. The highlighted address is not an address that I recognize and according to agsexplorer.com "Highlighted addresses are recognized as DONOR ADDRESSES. These are the addresses that will be embedded within Genesis Blocks of future Invictus DAC chains." I sent the bitcoin from my local wallet so I don't understand what is going on. Does that mean I won't get these AGS shares if I don't control the highlighted address? Can someone explain this to me?
