General Discussion / Image, marketing and expansion
« on: March 06, 2015, 12:14:56 pm »
I'm not easily available nowadays, but i had to come back and say this. I am very disappointed with the current situation.

I just read some thread on bitcointalk and it seems that we have resorted to spamming about Bitshres with links and very little supporting information.

If you want to capture crowds, then easy does it. boil it down to simple informative texts that do not sound pompous, boring or evasive.

I'm out again. see you in a month

I think BitAssets has not been properly marketed, ya'llz dropped the ball on that. You need to get a crack team on it asap, especially now.

General Discussion / Re: Default Vote for Core Devs???

just keep in mind how difficult it is to find AND KEEP core developers.

You really think your code is that valuable that it needs to be closed? Lol people compete on innovation. Are you saying NoirBits just copied MMC and had no innovation whatsoever?

Interesting that, I seem to remember 3 attempts at communication with my intent being to form a partnership then a merger later. There wasn't much of a response so I went ahead with my plans. I even wanted to use MMC implementation of momentum with an eye for merged mining in the future.

The community as a whole is falling apart due to lack of cooperation between leaders and developers. So to clear the air
1) check the about section of NoirShares you'll see that MemoryCoin devs are mentioned among others.

2 ) let's stop trying to make it on our own, cooperation is a surer bet.

By the way I had asked that you join our meeting and details of the meeting were published on our forum, mentioning NRS and hoping to create a partnership of some kind in the presented material.

It's still available here:
http://shrine.mmc-square.com/MMCDEV/mmcmeeting.7z

Some of these items have been changed since it was presented so don't worry about the change in supply in that-
Most of those ideas are now in the TODO topic list in the technical section of our closed Officer Board.

Since you've credited Memorycoin for using our code I hope to keep the open source model that we have, and believe that we can trust the open-source community, as long as they credit our code for usage (exactly where it's used).

I shall be updating the code on github shortly with the v3 adjustments.

That's great, I'll PM you in a day or two. I have been tied up IRL but that's coming to a close soon.  A lot of effort has been wasted by having so many different communities, I'm hoping bridging the gaps will bring forth better results.

I completely support the idea of MMC 3.0 and if we can come to an understanding, I will join the development team. I do have some suggestions you may wish to consider.

1) start a new chain , altcoins are different from BTC in that once an alt becomes settled, forking it leaves many behind.

2) (if I am part of this) let's really pull together some communities, instead of MMC and NRS only, lets have a larger sharebase. Those who wish to participate should burn their existing coins on their respective chains and will be allocated in MMC 3.0

3) if 2 is done, lets use a different name.

4) maybe consider BTSX as a model, I hear good things about DPoS

LottoShares / Re: Neither Dice nor Lottery are producing results
« on: October 16, 2014, 04:32:29 pm »
I forked the lotto part and have integrated it into NoirShares. The first issue I'll point out is that after perusing LTS code, I have not seen anything that points to key theft.

Second, I think for a failed attempt this was good. I intend to keep trying on my fork. He has already done most of the work and pointed out the issues so if someone was really interested, they could continue the LTS chain.

Not sure if I am on the right track but I've already begun discussing ways around the forking issues. Since NRS already uses a seperate random seeding method to randomize PoW , perhaps it can work dual purpose and maybe function with the lotto.

I say let Freetrade go and focus on something else, people love to point at him in a dark light but has anyone ever really considered the amount of innovation he does? I follow his work, I can tell you , he does not deserve any of this negativity.

And on that note, I see no reason why a developer must be tied to a project, if they feel they should move on , it is their choice. Apart from the PoW, keep in mind that these were basically free shares.

I will be updating this document soon.

General Discussion / Re: Orphaned Ideas Still Worthy of Discussion
« on: September 06, 2014, 12:58:38 pm »
Well, on the helpdesk you mentioned upgrading PTS. I am in agreement with the general idea but have a fw points to add.

There is talk of expanding the money supply, this i think is wrong. IMHO the best strategy is a 1:1 mapping of the PTS chain on a similar Xsatoshi client and leave it to typical PoS implementations. With the right specs, we can keep a viable chain moving off PoS only. (tried and tested) Our  product NRS has done this for a while now. The well picked timespans and % stake rates have ensure the blocks move at a wonderful pace.

On to the suggestions of expanding the supply, i think the best way to do this is a chain that starts with DPoS right from the start but is seperate from PTS.  My reasoning is as follows:-

1)I mined and worked and bought all my PTS, and there are promises made to me for all the effort in PTS. I would rather not have these affected by a expansion of the money supply.

2) The AGS issue lost us a lot of the supporters who started out, let's not make the same situation happen.

So, lets have a new Token, BTST, that has the features we require, and is added to our suite, but maintains a somewhat lesser role than PTS and AGS.

PTS=1 AGS=1 , BTST=(0.05) maybe

those numbers allow for a larger supply that does not threaten the position of PTS and AGS

General Discussion / Re: Noir Investment Group : NoirShares
« on: May 20, 2014, 09:47:10 pm »
Barwizi, I appreciate you efforts. I have to admit though that I had a difficult time to wrap my head around the value proposition of Noir-x.
Can you summarize in a few sentences what the value proposition / reason for investing of Noir- shares/bits etc. is? How does the Noir-x system work?

I guess the best starting point is to say with us @ Noir we give you options, do you want to be a passive participant through mining and purchase of either NoirShares or active through investment directly in the company. We offer return value and profit, through products whose scope is in actual useable ideas in the crypto space and beyond. For example, our first DAS mines other coins and purchases NRS from the exchange, there by propping up value and allowing others to mine it indirectly through their own hardware spec. Those who are invested directly in the Group gain a % of the fees as profit. While this is a small amount, it all adds up over time with our other products.

Another example is our Mining Facility. this facility mines BTC and adds it to the company balance, this can then be paid out directly to our investors or is used to produce more products.

In one sentence, i'd say invest in us because we love results, we love profit and we are willing to work hard to produce quality solutions that are relevant to the crypto-space.

All this is good news, but i still feel like not enough effort is being put into getting people involved and interested. We are moving so fast with the tech, yet we are leaving  behind the masses that we want to adopt the tech.
