General Discussion / Re: Decentraliced Dice Game is a awsome idea!

Can this be done externally on a website with provably fair methods?

General Discussion / Re: Robot avatars changed, why is that?
« on: January 29, 2015, 08:35:47 pm »
What's the point of robot avatar anyway, the account name is already unique enough. Also this avatar apparently haven't stopped people from sending money to scam accounts such as "bter". I think it makes the client look childish and amateur tbh. It doesn't fit the overall theme of the client as a serious professional exchange.

General Discussion / Re: $1,000 = 30,000 new users
« on: January 29, 2015, 08:32:37 pm »
it has to be at least $1 per tip, or no one will bother. So $1000 will bring potentially 1000 users.

But of course some of them will just cash out to BTC and never come back, but still, a good idea.

DevShares / New DVS delegate: delegate.kokojie
« on: January 28, 2015, 08:38:44 pm »
I have registered as a delegate "delegate.kokojie", my main purpose is to test running a delegate in windows client 24/7, in windows 8 environment with 4GB ram. 20% pay rate.

I'm currently an active delegate in bts network, with over 12k blocks produced. I will publish feeds and do everything that is required to help testing in the DVS network.

DevShares / Re: How to register a delegate?
« on: January 28, 2015, 08:19:06 pm »
When I'm trying to register as a delegate, the system is asking me for 600k DVS as fee, how am I suppose to get that much DVS? my entire vested DVS balance from importing my BTS wallet, is 169k

The fee is about 10x higher in DVS than BTS. What you can do is simply register a delegate at lower than 100% fee, you should be able to do 28%.

oh I see, it's proportional to the pay rate, thanks

General Discussion / Re: Up to 27 100% delegates. Really?
« on: January 23, 2015, 10:45:53 pm »
I dont think we need a delegate to look after the other delegates.  I think this is something that investors should want to do.  The community should be doing this (and will be), without needing to be paid.

Agreed, delegate inspector yes!, but it should be a investor initiative, not a delegate itself. Not to mention conflict of interest for a delegate inspector to also be a delegate.

Good idea, since DPOS is a critical part of BTS, the delegates needs much more information about them.

只备份了一个的话 是不是会悲剧?

备份铁律:
* 备份一个等于没有备份
* 所有备份都在同一个地方等于没有备份。

PoW is a doomed concept, because it can not become scalable, the bigger the marketcap, the bigger the waste, and higher the transaction cost. This is why Bitcoin went to over 10B marketcap, but then have to fall back to now 3B marketcap, because PoW can not support a high marketcap due to the huge expense and waste.

I haven't sen any information on 100% delegate:   chen.haonan

Anybody know anything about his proposed service?
I was wondering same who is 100% delegate chen.haonan at position 115. Where can I find more details about this 100% delegate.
Thank you

He's a Chinese marketing delegate, he wrote a few bts articles and got them published on major Chinese online media outlets. Here's his election post:

除了BTS还有什么值得买的?BTC是PoW浪费钱,LTC没有丝毫创新而且也是PoW,Ripple是个骗局。
