I believe the phase 'shit coin' came from here http://youtu.be/3gfntBEI3Aw

It was around long before. Probably when Namecoin, iXcoin or Tenebrix was released. ;)

Could I have some comments on the yesterday article in Bitscan? How do you like it and have you gone there to share with other s via the twitter face book links etc.

https://bitscan.com/articles/qora-reloads-with-social-network-and-new-2.0-features

great write up! i posted it to our blog and Qora's decentralized web and sent out in mailing list.

move your funds to CCEDK NOW from any of the exchanges you feel uncomfortable previously having Qora

I wish I could but they won't give our Qora back ( week 8 ).  :-\

I agree, the whole article sounds empty....I really don't know how this stuff gets published.

You can pay to get an article published.

I don't trust any cryptocurrency article that contains less than 3 profanities and at least one usage of the word "scam".  :P

Beyond Bitcoin [closed] / Transcripts and Soundcloud Timestamp Links
« on: July 29, 2015, 04:06:10 am »
How many people want us to put the Soundcloud timestamp links in the transcripts?

wtf are you talking about Buck (if that's your real name)?

On the Hangout page we list the timestamp for each comment made in the recording and you can click that timestamp to hear the recording at that exact time.

Example : https://beyondbitcoin.org/bitshares-developer-hangout-with-bytemaster-2-0-announcement-part-1-june-08-2015/

Did anyone find this useful?

Disclaimer : This adds about 20-40 minutes of work to each transcript, depending upon how high we are, so it will require it least 5-10 people responding in favor of the links before we go back to adding the links.

...but dont dump BTS for it.  Dump anything else. :P
It feels like BTS is going down in the past day because some of you are selling to buy Qora or something. ;)

I sold Maidsafe to buy Qora, because Qora is doing Maidsafe better than Maidsafe. ;)

Isn't qora just putting the website in a data field within transaction? so the site is stored on the chain, while maidsafe was using more clever techniques such as storing the hash of the file instead of the file contents? and/or using distributed cloud techniques?

If true, bottom line might look like qora is a winner but qora's implementation in that case would take 1 day to implement that while maidsafe would take months to iron out, which is probably why its priced in as 1/40th the marketcap.

Tuck was being slightly facetious. Yes they are completely different beasts attempting to accomplish somewhat similar goals in different ways. Qora finished their web server in a short time (born out of an idea that came in a matter of hours) and MaidSafe is still giving monthly updates on progress (after 6+ years). I believe it was a decision born from the question "which one will double me up (again) in the shortest amount of time".  He's had a lot of success with MAID in January, April and again this month so ... rinse & repeat. ;)

@Buck Fankers - Thanks, but for some reason that link is not working.  Is it possible the file is still uploading?

Is the recording of this hangout going to be available anytime soon?  Eager to hear it.  If editing is holding it up, perhaps a raw version can be posted in the meantime?  Would certainly be appreciated.

@tbone Posting my raw copy to soundcloud, will link it here when done.

<bad link removed>

Needs a few minutes to process. skip the first 5 minutes or so when everyone was confused. ;)
