General Discussion / Re: MineBitShares Payouts Post 2.0 Startup

that @Freebieservers screwed some guy over with a contract in NXT there's post on there forum and this one so I thing this guys a hack and can't handle as much technical things as he says

we never screwed anyone over, and we delivered this product more than a month ago also, your free to have any opinion you want of us or our work, but the truth is the truth, every product were paid for is delivered, sometimes ahead of, and sometimes past, the deadlines, its a fact of development. take a look at some of the other cool products we have like sharebits.io and electrons.io :)

bunker has had this product for well over a month and has chosen not to launch it... ask him why before you call us hacks please

why dont you just try mining for yourself:

I thought I was reading the NXT thread for a moment. You guys have exactly the same defense. Ouch.
Here's hoping BCL gets what he needs.

it happens to be true, he has his product, hes even mining on it... what exactly do you call that pal?

I'm just saying, the new pool has been ready for people to mine on for over a month, I mean Bunker himself has been mining on it for over a month now (screenshot of payouts db):

As kuro put it, I'm just going to let @Freebieservers handle this in terms of discussion, I just felt obligated to point out this skewed mentality of "it's entirely our fault."

were more than willing to go through any arbitration, you can keep saying get it done and claiming its not done all you want, doesnt make it true, to anyone who wants to mine on his new pool:

http://216.146.143.200/dashboard

as you can see from the stats its been up and been mined on for a month or so.

the BTS community should be asking bunker why he wont put the software online for them

i will note that we had an NDA agreement, breaching it like this makes the contract null-in-void and we will not be continuing to work on this product for the time being, we may be convinced to do otherwise though depending on how this plays out, we wish no ill will to bunker, were just confused as to why he has done nothing with the software we delivered and is now pointing the finger at us for it...?

Please first deliver to BunkerShares

bunker has had his software for over a month actually, if he tells you different its a lie.

That's unfortunate .. not that I mine .. but to see that you picked a contractor that does deliver :(

his pool has been delivered for the better part of 2 months, he simply chose not to use the software.

ill let freebie handle this one...

Just curious, would it be possible to build payout systems (e.g. for miningpools) using sharebits? Is there a way to send tips via API calls? Could eventually be a simple way to implement manual withdrawals without having to track anything yourself.

it is very possible yes, we do not CURRENTLY support a public api however its super doable, and the 'tip' system and certainly be used to payout users in a programmatic way.

@hybridd once wrote a bomberman clone for one of his CS classes, i remember playing it with him one time.

Hold On!  No one has brought up Facebook??  BtsTip needs to monitor all posts on this forum and look for tip commands right?  It is not practical to monitor all of Facebook.  Unless of course you connect to BTS Tip!  Now the tip bot can see all posts from anyone wanting to use it then send a private message to any new person that receives a tip.  Talk about virial...   I have not checked the APIs, but I bet something can be worked out.   What do you think?  Does access to 1.55 billion monthly active users sound good?

It may be possible for the tipbot to post a reply to the original tip message.  It shouldn't spam all of its connections with non-friended tip confirmations.

p.s. I hope this earns me a tip  ;)
The bot makes use of the search function on this forum, it doesn't check every individual post. Likewise, it's not practical to monitor each individual user authenticated through Facebook on our service nor is it practical to look for the hashtag on Facebook due to privacy settings.

to follow up on this, platforms like facebook that allow private messaging and commenting but enforce strict privacy are the exact reason we created a tip generation system.

you can post tips around to any platform now, even the ones we already had apis for :)

@fav had a great idea of sending an auto-tweet to anyone following him with "Thank you for following! @user #sharebits 10 MEGUSTA " A great way to introduce people to the idea.

actually, I do it by hand. wanted to automate it with ifttt, but I think twitter does not allow this kind of stuff anymore.

pretty sure you can use hootsuite to automate still

The COPY deposit code button is not working in Firefox or Chrome.

Also, clicking the different accounts - reddit, twitter, btsforum buttons do not work.

The generated tip codes do not show for users either, the page only shows a background when the user clicks.

thanks for the bugtesting, were going to push out a new update today to correct all the bugs found so far.

Also I sent 0.07 bitbtc to electron-io 35 mis ago with no btc address in the memo as I thought it would remember it from my last transaction but hasn't seemed to.

this is the address I want it sent to please:  1HJDBUEYQMUU7hXYf64KYiLs6GJ2SBGMj2

I believe the initial system was meant to keep a tab on the bts wallet and the associated btc address but it was dropped in order to avoid keeping any user info of sorts.
Issues like these make me want to discuss putting it back on.

yes i think it would be a great feature please bring it back.

sorry forgot to update you yesterday morning, it was refunded within an hour of your post, so sorry for the slow support, still working on the system :)

58
Were going to be taking down the bot for 3-4 hours while we test and deploy new features, sorry for any trouble this causes!
