I swear it's as if Bitshares developers don't even try with marketing. Every exchange except MetaExchange is listed on Ethtrader.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/

didn't know about this reddit sub - so thanks to bring it to our attention.

can't follow all the things are moving in the cryptospace, this is not a fulltime business right now.

in the past it helped to check the clocktime of your computer and close all browser windows and start fresh (or are you using the lightclient?)

Hi, I'm a total noob to all this and thus have stupid questions. Can I transfer bitcoins/Satoshi from an outside wallet to my registered OL wallet name like this, noisy?

the poloniex site states, that with this way you can transfer BTS and BTS only. Don't get confused. If you want to transfer Bitcoin into Bitshares you can use some of the UIAs who are running on the exchange. You will find them in the bitshares wallet "Deposit/Withraw" you can choose between 3 UIA provider. This provider you can see as small competitors compared to poloniex, so the BTC they create have the same 3rd party risks.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback so far, I have also emailed the team directly but if you have any contact for the BitShares marketing team or a username on here feel free to PM me.
Keep your ideas coming! I like Bytemaster... He's a user on here right?

you could say he is the chief enginer

i have a idea:

Cardname: Bytemaster
Text: "He is called the "Wizard of BitShares" and is well known of his knowledge and wisdom. With his forbidden knowledge of Graphene Magic,  he tries to bring freedom to anyone in the land of Moonga."

if you don't know Moonga is the land where "Spells of Genesis" is setted.

How secure is Poloniex?  They have a lot of BTC and BTS there, would be a shame if something happened...

They are secure enough that they havent been able to be hacked yet, even with their btc wallet being like the #4 bitcoin wallet in existence, and have hundreds of millions of eth.  I am sure many hackers have tried.

Of course, that is no guarantee they are secure.  All it means is they are on a higher level than all the shitty exchanges that got hacked.

common guys!!!
They could be safer than a "swiss bank" but it still not worth enough !!!
Why?
Because nobody can protect the millions of ETH,BTS,BTC from greedy exchange owners!
Do you think a scenario from their part to pretend that they are also goxxed  is unlikely?

Do you think in 100 years from now that they will earn more than they already can have... from trading fees?
I bet it is tempting for them to take it all and disappear! I hope they have morals and don't do it!   :)
But it is better to stop hoping and take a little bit action!

MOVE YOUR PRECIOUS BTS TO OUR DEX NOW  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i don't think so say have 100.000 USD in trading fees every day, they needed a long time but with the ETH pump they hit the jackpot. I think they are looking every day on their wallets and can't believe how fast they are growing. Would be nice to know their expenses.

they pump after this ANN is amazing, but i think this will be more helpful in the long run.

i think our goal should be to lower the entry to new developers as low as possible.

only xerocs is writing documentation, but this should be prio also for the core devs. If you ask me, we should have short videos and papers
how our codebases works and can be used and forked.

great work again fox  8)

General Discussion / Imagine that...

we would have our trading volume in 24 hours a day (just over 4.000.000 USD) we would have on our plattform. i think this would be amazing :D

i have no problems today!

what's really annoying is the rounding error when i buy or sell. Sometimes you click on the row you want to buy or sell and send the
order, but they are not matching, because of rounding errors on the 0.000001 part. this should be fixed. maybe round up or down, that the order
matches. i think no one cares if i round up .000005 or so satoshi, but anyone cares, if he hast to chancel more then 1 time the order.
costs time and the rounding error would be less expensive then the cancel fee.

if we can hold 1400 the way up is clear. if you look into the charts, on this level we had major pricepoints in the past.

So dumb question... What advantages does Azure give to bitshares other than being associated with the Microsoft name?  Is Azure BaaS a market place?  Can people develop for BTS through Azure?
The Azure BaaS platform allows anyone to spin up a node and CLI wallet with the minimum of effort. When Plasma is released, I will add this to a template to enable the toolkit resources for developers.

great! i think to get interested people a better and easier entry point will help a lot. keep going :D

135
sounds great  +5%

now i as a idiot user, can start my own node in 15 minutes? does i understand it correct? how is the pricing from Azure to services like AWS?
