Something doesn't seem to be adding up.  This donation page:

http://www1.agsexplorer.com/

says that 2 million btsx went to ags and pts donors.

Where did all the other of the 2 billion shares go?

So 10% of the shares went to ags and protoshare donators  right?  Who owns the other 90% of the shares, and when will they be moved into circulation?

About 10% or  ~200,000,000 BTSX =1.28*500*(52,349.50+258,761.354799) of the total of  2 Billion shares/coins are currently traded at the exchanges.

IMHO, updating to this number now would be even more confusing, than doing nothing.

The biggest BTSX holder of course is the AGS fund. I am only guessing about that!

So for those that want to know how many shares were initially seeded in the block chain, how many shares are available in circulation now, how many will be moved into circulation, when and why, and who owns the majority of these, where can we get this kind of information?

BitShares X has incorrectly/mistakenly listed on Coinmarketcap stating a share supply of 2 Billion but the actual potential supply is probably closer to 10% of that.

By all means.   I re-iterate my call.  Can someone provide some kind of URL to some verifiable proof of just how many coins are on the chain, so we can get it updated and validated?

And who are the major obvious share holders of what is on the chain, now?

Is there some kind of proof link/url, for the 2,000,000,000 outstanding coins on the chain I can provide to coinmarketcap.com?

And, what percentage of those coins are held by whom?  In particular, what percentage is held by Invictus Innovations?  Are there any other major holders?

You want it removed???

Sure, there will be bleating, ignorant noise, claiming/thinking it is a scam, but I think any news is good news, and the smart money (and ultimately the long term demonstrably experimental proof) is going to quickly see through and handsomely profit from the mistaken bleating.

Have I convinced everyone, or does anyone still think it should be removed?

I know the guy running coinmarketcap.com.  He added the total market cap of all crypto currency stat at the bottom, based on my request.

Everyone send me any changes that need to be made (such as specific URLs) and I can forward these on to him.

Oh, and by the way, if anyone is willing to sell me a lot of BitShare X at anywhere close to that price, please contact me ASAP.

=天籁, thanks for the +5%.

Gamey,  everything you've said is obvious, and many people using the system have already pointed out all these things.  There is already a long list of things to do, including all these things, and volunteers are earning Canonon Coins, trying to fix some of these many obvious problems.  Those that get it, can see what this can do, those that don't seem to miss that, and have troubles understanding anything but the problems that haven't been fixed by anyone yet.

Either way, thanks for all the feedback, it all helps.

Hi xeroc,

Thanks for asking,  the simple answer is it is just a wiki system, with camps.
So the yes camp people can create and join their camp, and visa for all competing theories/desires.  Mostly, it is a consensus building and measuring system, and it is even way more than that.

Most people falsely jump to the conclusion that we are simply trying to determine "truth" via popularity.  But it's just the opposite of that.  It is a system for a minority of experts who are the first to see a new better way.  It's a communication tool they can use the get buy in from everyone.  It is a rigorous tool to better communicate in a way that you can measure, concisely and quantitatively, who is on board, and just as important, who is not yet on board, and why (what is still required to get them on board), and so on.

The big problem with grass roots organizations and things like Bitcoin, is there is no way to know, concisely and quantitatively what everyone wants.  With any hierarchy, you just ask the leader, and nothing else matters.  What is needed, is the same power with a huge crowd.  Even the crowd, itself, needs to know, and be able to work within all that, without censoring anyone.

We believe Bitshares is becoming the greatest technology.  How do we build expert consensus around that, and pull everyone else on board with us, in a way that sucks in any great new ideas they have, and instantly adopts them, and so on.  How do we show to everyone the superiority of Bitshare products, so we can get beyond all the advertizing hype for inferior products, in a trusted open way even the competitors can contribute to?  How do we do all that, and make lightning fast major direction change decisions, that the entire crowd can instantly be on board with (in a rigorously quantitatively measurable real time way) without any hierarchies?

Canonizer.com can do all that.

Hey Fuz,

Yea, this is perfect.  This is the perfect tool to communicate with everyone, concisely and quantitatively, in a way that will significantly amplify the wisdom of the crowd, in a way that will ratchet up everyone's knowledge across time, as people come and go in an accelerated way.  It will enable everyone to build, amplify, and comunicate what and why is the best consensus, and if a new better idea comes along by a new person, it'll be far easear to comunicate this to the rest of the crowd, and quickly switch the consensus.  That which you can measure, improves.

I've wanted to start a survey topic on exactly this topic before, but am still a bit unclear exactly what we are asking.  And that's the purpose of the survey root camp statement.  To describe, exactly, what the problem to solve, and the what, exactly this survey topic's goal is.

So perhaps you could start by submitting a first draft of a root camp statement, describing exactly the problem, and the current state of the art beliefs which most people have agreed on so far?

Upwards,

I'm a newbee, that would like to learn how to use this Dry Run stuff.  Is there by any chance a simple step by step guide a newbee could follow anywhere?

Here's one question to start with:

Win  GUI
http://www.bitshares.org/BitSharesXT-0.0.8.exe

Mac GUI
http://www.bitshares.org/BitSharesXT-0.0.9.dmg

What is the significance of the fact that the Win version is crossed out?
I don't have a mac system, only windows.  Is this not the binary I want to work with?

This was cancelled.
So sad hearing that it is cancelled, is it because the development progress is slow?

We couldn't afford the distraction and Bitcoin's drop tightened our belt.  Still hope to do something like this when our other obligations have been met.

This was cancelled.

???

Why then the official looking page:

http://www.invictus-innovations.cn/ZH/devcon.htm

with no "this has been canceled" informaiton?

Why can you still click on the "Sign Up Now" link, and it looks like you should get plane tickets/hotel?

I bet a bunch of people will show up for this, or at least purchase plane tickets/hotel, as I almost did.

And how might someone get out and meet more and get more involved with Bitshares?

I feel so isolated.

Where will this be, in Las Vegas?
What hotel is everyone staying in?
What new speakers have been selected?
What else is going on?
Where will most people be eating?
Where will most people be partying?
....

How big is this event going to be?

I feel like I'm missing out on a bunch of stuff.

General Discussion / Re: Approval Voting vs Delegation
« on: June 27, 2014, 04:39:16 pm »

I'm very interested in this topic, but feel I missed most of the context.  Is there a source of informaiton where I could learn more about what all this means to Bitshares?  What is the current methods that are being used?

And what kind of deligation is there?  I like infinite delegation, where anyone can delegate their votes to anyone.  Making large hierarchical trees with significant power to move an large organization on a dime, out performing traditional hierarchies, yet of the leader screws up, his delegated tree of power will vanish instantly.

Is anything like that being used for this?
