General Discussion / Re: Bitshares price discussion
« on: April 16, 2016, 01:48:47 pm »
I don't think it's wise to consider prices vs BTC. We all live in a world where the rent, the bread, the coffee are valued in our local fiat money.

I will be more than happy to see bts at 200 stats if BTC climb to 5k$.

Investor checks the wealth of their investments in fiat, not in BTC.

Even if the bts : btc chart looks a little ugly, when you display it in $ (cmc graph) it looks different,  kind of exiting actually !

The community is growing and projects are blooming, I don't think we will hit and break the resistance around 0.003$.

I'm sure there is lot of guys who bought higher than 0.005 and will buy some to lower their average buy price if we go lower than 0.004.

I guess we'll see !

Maybe the new website could help with that, a fresh new display of everything going on could make the difference.

Interesting, i agree with you in the matter BTC x BTS. If BTC pumps, every other altcoin will fall, but marginally, will rise in the overall (FIAT).

But what surprises me is the Bitshares enviroment... If bitshares prices in BTC rises, UIA such as OBITS or bitland drops...and vice-versa. It's like bitshares (currency and UIA) holders do a internal hedge among themselves lol. It's like projects like OBITS or Bitteaser or Bitland don't have their own particular dynamics... even buybacks or dividends are being ignored!

This is very strange to me lol.

Hello, did we have a buy back today or dividends were distributed?

This link: https://bitteaser.com/for-investors  explains a lot about the business.
I think they should hire cass because that investor page does look like made by a schooldboy.

plus I would expect some business numbers there
Somehow OBITS or BTSR investor should have access to numbers. Thru Openledger quick notes, maybe.

I don't know...i understand not showing numbers in public, because these kind of business are too inovative...but investor should access data somehow.

Hey Ronny,

I don't mean to be rude, but the obits holders (me included) need to know about the type of share profiting in OBITS, first. Will it be monthly dividends or monthly buybacks? We still don't have an answer to that. 10 days are just around the corner...

Don't mean to be unpolite, it's a question of blending cash flow of this new possible investiment (of mine) to OBITS.

What do you guys think of it?

No problem in asking like this. We are still reallyu trying to find best way possible. It is the intention to do the kind of dividend style based on on the sharbits app and do monthly sharedrops once the new no fees on transfers are available on platform. If that will not be possible before next buyback, it will be another buyback.

I am not so sure why the deep interest in the dividend solution as a urgent one. I believe it will come in next coming months, but we need to first be sure not too much money is spent on distributing and less on the OBITS holders, so it is all in the interest of the holders to gt the proper solution figured out.
Costs must be very low otherwise dividends lost it´s sense.
Reading it again, I think i didn't make myself clear...

I was asking because i wanted to have a notion of overall numbers of this bussness, such as revenues, profits, margins... Knownig about dividends or buy-backs values would give me a clue of the enterprise's numbers.

I sounded a bit rushy...but, let me try again: Ronny, what can you tell us about OBITS (past months) and BTSRed (project) now, in numbers (again revenues, profits, margins)?

Please, forgive this stock exchange investor mind set. I'm new in this kind of thing...

Question: Will there be monthly buybacks? if so when will the next one be?

The general idea has been montly buybacks due to no option of dividend, we have however found a way for dividend option as well, so are working in next days to come up with way to make it possible for all holders to vote for this.
Ronny, in order to make a decision about monthly buy-backs or monthly dividends, we need more info about general numbers of this business...

Could you open numbers such ney monthtly revenues or profits for us (OBITS holders). Could you also give us historical numbers per month (...november, december, january...)? Depending on the value, price of OBITS could rise "automaticaly". A big DY% (dividend yield) would do this.

That's because of the current sell wall of 28k OBITS. Nice way to bait people into selling cheap. Supposedly everyone bought at 26 bts. Not to mention the account selling http://cryptofresh.com/u/tcby1979 got them directly from Ronny instead of buying them from the market. Even with the OBITS promotions it doesn't get much cheaper than that.

So imo it doesn't make much sense to sell that amount at that price. It makes sense though in triggering people to sell at lower prices.
oh, thanks, i didn't know that. If it goes like this, assuming no wall at 28.5k, then the price jumps to 29,94 BTS/OBITS

No one can really know, everyone will try their best to manipulate the price and get the best price for themselves.
oh, sure. But i believe the ones that will flip it already put their sell orders.

Well if you don't trust OpenLedger/CCEDK it's really simple, you don't buy OBITS

I have no single reason to trust them.  This does not mean that I will never want to gamble with their token. I perfectly understand the risk to lose my money if I ever do this. For now, I prefer to observe, how all this thing goes.
If you're not interested in this for long term, you just flip it.

Akado, thanks. Abusing of your kindness, with that ammount of BTS, what would br the price in obits/BTS if buy jack happenned NOW? Sorry, my internet sucks here...

@uqaz no problem, happy to help  :)

there is not defined price. atm those 1.3M BTS will "eat" the order book if I'm not mistaken. Any sell orders those 11.3 can buy, they will. If for example there was only one sell order on the books, selling 1000 OBITS for 1 full BTC, that would be the price. It will buy whatever it can on the sell side. Take into account 10% will be used to buy on the OBITS/OPENBTC market. The other 90% will be on the OBITS/BTS market.
Friend, thank you very much, but i think u didn't get what i meant.

We just have to make a "sumproduct" with two columns table "Sell OBITS for BTS". See, when sumproduct = 90% x 1,347,000, wu can find the final price of this burn.

Now, my internet is ok, i find 25 BTS/OBITS (i expected much more...).

Thanks for your time.

Ok, that makes sense.

Can you tell us the accumulated value in the first-and-last buy back is how many BTCs?

Hey, just saw http://obits.io/#stats that the number of obits for sale were from 71%, to now 42%...

Is this related with today's avalanche in altcoin?

What just happenned ?!

private investors ? people buying otc
I mean, it's prattically the end of the crownd-funding...40% will belong to CCEDK, the other 60% to other investors...

Man, that came from nowhere lol

Let's wait for Ronny on this.

During the buyback will your orders be removed from the order books? For example, there's a sell order of 12k obits from the obits account.

Sure, in another case buyback doesn't make any sense. This was confirmed in @ccedk early posts.

Correct, thanks for the reply @testz  +5%
Ronny, would the share drops be monthy (like buybacks intended to be)?
