I just published the very first Edition of "The Wolf of BitShares".

This is an attempt to introduce BitShares to more people.

I`m not trying to go very deep into details, I just want to provide an overview that is easy to read und understand.
Since I`m not a native english speaker please do not expect a perfect written english but feel free to correct me.
Recommendations for topics or in general are welcome and if you find misleading or wrong information's please contact me.
How often I will publish a new edition depends on how many topics and time I have to write and of course the demand.

I probably dont understand what I did do, when I bought OBITS and as well BTRS

At the moment OBITS share appreciate
but at the same Time my BTRS are depreciating

need an explanation, why this is the case and did I make a mistake

hello just spotted your topic.

Why you say BTSR is depreciating, it is not even gone public yet, and pricing is increasing until public launch as well.

We had a great reason for why BTSR will be strong as well, when 10% of the sales was added to the OBITS buyback, amounting to some 900k bts, allowing some great belief in both BTSR and OBITS in the future.

I guess I did not express myself right, it seams to be less value showing in my account as it did a few days ago, perhaps my impression is that BTRS did depreciate, at the same time OBITS showed value is going up, so I am confused, because  click TRADE BTS : OBITS shows the same behavior

Are you sure you clicked the "RESTORE WALLET" button and not the "IMPORT KEYS" button? The former works with the .bin file while the later can only be used with .json files.

OK: step by step what I do
1. click SETTINGS....upper right corner
2. click MANAGEMENT CONSOLE
3. click in the field: RESTORE BACKUP
4: IMPORT BACKUP (browse) import Bin .. next Password

and all works now, but when I click on upper left ACCOUNT, I see my account MEA123 + Account#
under the account#  I see
UNFOLLOW
PAY
I click PAY and enter in FROM my Account name mea123..
it says "Not your account" so I cant send funds

supposed to be ( at least thats what my account says on my Laptop)
IGNORE
PAY

I hope this is pretty clear and you can help!

If you can still see "IGNORE" from your laptop, try make a backup again: Settings (right-top gear icon) -> wallet management console (bottom) -> create backup.

ok just did a new backup, nothing changed, ( still IGNOR ) do I have to do more than just "save the bin"?
How did you restore? step by step?

* go to wallet management console
* click restore backup. If there is already a file name shown, click reset, then click restore backup again.
* choose file
* enter password, click verify
* set a name, click accept
* click restore
* click done

I dont like to sound funny, but I have done what you said I should do, I still have the "IGNORE: underneath my account name followed by "PAY"

I managed to get a sign up, but this guy used not my link, instead he clicked on a pic I posted
and got signed up, just not under me.

What can we do to change this, sign up again??
the problem is when he click on the referral link he get redirected to his already existing account

help is appreciated

That can't be the same outcome ..

If you import your backup and it finds an account .. you will get "account" in the top navigation and when you click it you will be in YOUR account .. there will not be a follow or unfollow button.

If there was no account in that backup (which can AFAIK not happen either) .. then you won't see "Account" or "Overview" on the top navigation.

Question: a friend ask me to sign him up under my affiliate link, he does not have a PC just a smartphone and its difficult..for him, big fingers..lol

can I even do this on my computer or can only he do this himself.

My guess would be that you import your backup as a new wallet and still have the old wallet active ..
if you go to the wallet management console .. you should see a button that allows you to change wallets ..
take a look at the others (if there are any)

but I can not synchronize it with my PC

Check you system time, sync it with internet.
Go to settings menu and make backup (.bin file), keep it on safe place.
Enjoy!  :)

would you mind to explain to me, how I can backup something I dont have
I set the Clock
but nothing changed, I am still not able to see my account, still as for CREATE ACCOUNT and does not recognize my existing account
