BITGLD WithdrawalIt must be mistake. Where is the business logic?
Minimum 0.6 BITGLD, Maximum 1000 BITGLD
Fee: 0% + 0.5 BITGLD (No fee for Bter Code).
That is outrageous!!!
Thanks RuneI am trying to get market moving so I bought 1 BitGOLD and sent it to Bter. Need advise with a price please.
At first my price was 5.867 BTC for one BitGOLD 5.867 BTC x $ 217 = $ 1273.13 which is approx. what I paid for it BTS 125796 x 0.010134 = $1274.81.
Message received from Bter:
Please confirm SELL order:
Price: 5.86700000
Volume: 1.000 BIT
Warning: Your SELL price is 98.8% LOWER than the average market price, please double check it.
If anybody knows what I am doing wrong please advise.
Aloha
Edit: Or should I buy some more of CFSGOLD
5.87ish is the correct price of bitgold/btc. Bter is just being weird because the current orders are so strange. The cryptohedge gold hedgebot will be ready tonight or tomorrow, and will slowly begin to populate the order book, but the more the merrier!
Don't spend bter points on this, they're already adding it.
In my modification of xeroc's feed script each delegate is free to set weight to each exchange. Exchanges can even be ignored. It also accounts for relative volume between exchanges.
You could have unique configuration if you want to.
Current scripts were created in a hurry. There could be a lot of improvement over them. However they are tested and they seem to be working so far.
I think more important for security is that all delegates provide feeds regardless of the method. And then each delegate can customize and change or upgrade his script.
If there are 60 delegates publishing feeds (instead of 100) then smaller set of malicious delegates is needed to manipulate the median price.
We should pick a particular type of oil, and a particular contract length into the future, and then have all the delegates for oil based their feed on that.
For example, "Use X particular type of oil, use the price of a futures contract that is between 1 and 3 months away from expiration". If everyone agrees on what they are pricing then it will work.
Bytemaster,
I'm very glad you brought up this topic. As it shows that you are considering adding a prediction market functionality to UIA.
I think you know where I am going with this.
I earnestly encourage you to take a serious second-look at Truthcoin. I truly feel Truthcoin will be a win-win for Bitshares. Putting aside your issues of it for now, from my perspective, Bitshares already has a white-listing function to freeze and retrieve funds from accounts. I think this works in total concert with Truthcoin's SVD process, where resolving markets requires profit-based incentives to punish bad voters and withdrawing their Truthcoins. I'm not a developer by any means, but from a conceptual standpoint, your already half-way there. The SVD rules just need to be built in. Paul (who wrote the whitepaper if you remember) points out that his idea way simpler to implement than all Bitcoin 2.0 projects out there. And there is already some codebase from Augur.net and Truthcoin floating out there. It would save your team time.
However, I understand you will probably not want to do this. This could delay the 1.0 for many many months. I don't know if this could take 80 man-hours. Unless your planning this prediction market for a 6 month 2.0 release.
I'll note again, as I have on other forums, that Ethereum and a Bitcoin fork all right now have developments in Decentralized Prediction Market that are seeing some sort of release by August (caveat could be later because of project mgmt). But ultimately I think not making a decision here may result in Bitshares to once again fall behind the curve. If we were to get on this first, alongside our marketing campaigns we stand to gain tremendously.
Thanks votedWill your delegate bitcube be providing price feeds?
I will be providing feeds.
so far - no feedback from the mentioned delegates!!I will start removing my votes today from any delegate that does not publish price feeds. Feel terrible to do it as we need our great core developers, but if anybody has any better idea please enlighten me .
