If I had an idea for DAC my first choice would be BitShares platform and all support from bytemaster and the crew (developing, marketing etc.)
Price for this is 20% min share drop to BitShares community.

If I didn't want anything to do with BitShares than I certainly would not drop 10% to PTS as some of this guys if not all are still BitShares holders.
My logic may be wrong, but time will show  :)

+1 As a newbie myself it took me a few hours to figure it all out. Its extremely confusing and if 3rd parties start releasing share drops to PTS then it would hurt BTS in the long run.

Try to put yourself in the shoes of 3rd party DAC.
Would you do share drop percentage of your business to low value coin with small community  or would you shared drop to high value coin with big community?  For me answer is very simple from business point of view. Big community with a lot of developers will always be priority for any 3rd party DAC.

I hope this link will help with some of your questions.

Fine. I'll admit that I've been trying to put myself in the shoes of PTS holders and voicing what I felt would be my experience. I have a very tiny PTS holding so I'm not really affected.

I was playing devils advocate. But sure just to appease you - I'm a FUDder I should be lynched, my PTS and BTS taken away and my username banned lol Oh and all my posts should be removed. :)
I am all for compassion and love, therefore I admire you putting yourself in shoes of PTS holders and voicing grievances on their behalf.
But this sentence
Quote
I think the Chinese community has abandoned BTS but are sticking with PTS. (Not all but some)
smells like FUD to me. You could of expressed your thoughts in many more different ways not to sound like FUD, but you didn't. You choose pricesley those words and they smell like FUD to me.

Why don't you "man up" and admit that you are trying to spread FUD.

Why am I feeling that you are spreading FUD (?)
My apologize if my bad English is the reason I made this assumption

I am feeling as well that he is spreading FUD.

I am only in favor of funds paid for by BTS dilution to go towards creating better documentation or reworking the codebase (the "toolkit") to make it more modular, easy-to-use, whatever if it helps improve the pace of development on the main BitShares DAC, for example by making the job of the existing devs easier or making the process of bringing in new devs to work on BitShares easier. The fact that this would likely have the side effect of making it easier for third-party devs to create forks is irrelevant to me.

However, I do not support paying via BTS dilution for any effort that just helps third-party devs work on forks but does not at all help devs working on the main BitShares DAC. I would like to focus all efforts paid for by BTS holders to first go towards maximizing the value of BTS and getting us the critical network effect we need to survive against existential threats before focusing on making it easier to decentralize this ecosystem even more than it already is by promoting the creation of many different competing DACs (the fact that the code is open source means it is already easy enough to achieve this level of decentralization as evidenced by various third-party DAC proposals that have been popping up such as alphaBar's DPOS-based PTS DAC and more recently the Rand Paul Coin fork of BitShares X).

I don't trust at all this "alphaBar" guy and I don't think I'm the only one here, everyone should be extra careful when dealing with those "new" PTS of his. Unwillingness to identity himself says it all, I can bet that he is just trying to  pump the price of PTS after the snapshot so he can dump them at a good price. Also I can see some similarities in his "thinking" with another guy he had here in the forum, it might be just coincidence but I'm just saying...

You are not the only one not trusting alphaBar.

3i should do DPOS,not others
not AlphaBar.
not me.

The whole point of the consolidation/merger is that bytemaster and 3i can't do everything, and can't answer to everyone.  If they fixed PTS and made it what we want, then they'd be neglecting BTSX, and a different group of shareholders would get loud.  PTS and BTSX in some regards, are in direct competition with each other.  The consolidation is an effort made so that all incentives can be aligned in the future.  Its unfortunate that this decision couldn't please anybody, but look at it this way - the people who got burned today would eventually get neglected in the future.  The same group would be demanding for bytemasters time and attention, and the only way to give that would be to neglect a different project.  We want to compete with the world, not the existing community, because its still not big enough.

I have no intentions of selling any of my BTSX . Yesterday I made some BTSX by buying some bitUSD and selling them today for BTSX . Thought of doing it today again, but bitmeat is not saying much  :)

I've made some shares trading as well.

The problem is, I keep ending up with a bit more shares, but all of them are worth way less than they were before.
Me too  :) , but I know it will eventually have to go up with all the brain power we have in this community.

Well I just find that they naturally have reaction. I don't know if it is a self fulfilling prophecy. What I do know is that they provide me with low risk high reward entries.
Can you please let us know where do you think the price is going to go next and why?
Thanks  :)
