With 200k € we can finance 8 decent independent marketing worker for 25k €, which brings real value/integration to Bitshares.

They wanna be decentralized but don't offer any crypto payments, what a joke! No serious margin trader will vote for 200k €.

I gonna support this worker until 25k€!

I don't know if it will or won't, it might since this is a big enough event and partnering up is very different than being one of many booths. I'm just not stating price action as a goal or a KPI.
This is the reason for 2018 and we already have https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=28374.0

Cheap never gets the job done. I'd love to see cheap efficient marketing workers but not holding my breath.....everyone keeps saying it but I don't see any being put forward.
This is not a reason to finance an overpriced centralized event. The main benefits are for the people, who are organizing this event.

You may not be aware of this but BitShares has a HORRIBLE reputation in the wider crypto world. So being taken seriously enough is a great thing.
This is the reason to spend more BTS on marketing/socialize and UI!

Mostly it served networking purposes (such as with cointelligence).
I am not totally against this, but it should be always in balance.

I wanna start this worker, to bring the Bitshares ecosystem to journalist, influencer and companies. Show them how they can use the Bitshares ecosystem for their benifits.

Tasks:
- Write a short article about the direct debt function, smart coins, referral system (+trading fee shares) and PalmPay
- Contact journalists, influencer and companies
- Offer them a direct debt payment for the next 6 month, if they wanna use/promote Bitshares

Costs:
- Writing the articles
- Direct debt payment for influencer or journalists
- Bounty for every successful promoter

Questions:
- What price range do you think is needed for the positions?

Our worker budget is tided to the BTS price, we can't exclude this.

What benefits got Bitshares from the 2018 conference?

As you mentioned the worker is not cheap and will have no direct impact on the Bitshares price.
But at this price level for BTS, we need a cheap worker with direct price impact!

185
Bitshares took part at Decentralized 2018. Since then, price went down hill.
I don't see any reason, why we should now spend more BTS in 2019.

We don't need another conference, we need a serious marketing worker!

186
Ross UI went south? Where is escrow?

187
According to bitcrab bitCNY does not need any GS protection.

GS protection by manipulating price feed should be the last option of our toolbox.

188
The second idea is to use the bitCNY for a Global Settlement protection. Buy up all debt with auto margin call positions of 1.05 or lower.
The settled BTS can now be used to pay the worker!

We should add the 0.04% market fee to all markets to provide a GS fund. Some bitCNY could be used at the beginning to buy up other bitAssets.

Depending on the size of the vesting balance/collateral we could also lower the MCR to 1.5

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: [Poll] Modify bitEUR parameters
« on: June 04, 2019, 03:03:16 pm »
I think you should notice the "real" pirce of bts/EUR.
What you wanna say?

How much fiat EUR can buy or sell one bts?

This topic is about MCR and MSSR!

So? what affect the MCR and MSSR?
Liquidity and price peg. With high MCR and high MSSR we have low liquidity and bad peg.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: [Poll] BSIP59:Reduce MCR of bitCNY to 1.6

The loose of peg comes from low liquidity and not by reducing MCR from 1.75 to 1.6.

This is ridiculous, we should be encouraging people to take out better collateralised positions, not allow them to take out less collateralised positions.

why not? MAKER DAI had MCR=1.5.

Rule is rule, want to change? give a new rule.
We need to make the platform more attractive for people to borrow more bitAssets.
Reducing MCR from 1.75 to 1.6 was the right step.
