General Discussion / Re: Announcing Brownie Points (BROWNIE.PTS)

btw, to the powers that be if continued effort is worthy of brownies, thanks for considering... https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,17354.msg257961.html#msg257961
bitsharesblog.com is a great thing! Please continue with that!

@xeroc @mint chocolate chip yes it is.  and id gladly distribute brownies to you if you can give a general idea of the hours spent working...I am mostly doing this to help out and generally try to get a number of hours figured out for me so i know that it is not my bias deciding.  obviously, however, I hope those who are telling me the hours they worked are doing so transparently here in this thread and also that the other brownie holders are not being undercut for the work theyve done.

OBITS launches offering stake in revenues from exchange and BitShares news and the worldwide web (this one includes a shout out/link to BB)

sorry bro. please see the announcement here
i will mention @bytemaster because although he is busy, due to many reasons I can no longer help and must rely on him to work even harder now.  it isnt worth the drama and because of my actionsand the hard work of @Freebieservers @kuro112 @hybridd @ccedk  and many others in the community to get the sharebot up and running, BM and anyone else can esily distribute tokens as a means of thanks and can do so in a transparent manner.

now all bm (or anyone else) has to do is follow the syntax format in my signature below to send them to everyone.

luckily though @tonyk will be happy :)

now with this said, if the community were to make an effort to convince me I am wrong in my actions, I  willing to reassess my current stance.
@fuzzy I saw that post, but I also saw this http://cryptofresh.com/b/1752692 so I thought maybe you were still transitioning and were getting the current brownie requests up-to-date before turning it back over to BM. Looks like it will get lost in all this drama.

General Discussion / Re: Brownie price: Panic or not?
« on: December 14, 2015, 06:48:22 pm »
My problem right now is that I do not know exactly how to put Brownie Points on the market to sell through the Bitshares Wallet. I have a Mac and this is my first time. Bare with me  :)

Use the account that you have that has the brownies, go to this market, under SELL put in the price you want and the quantity you want to sell. They sell when someone chooses to pay that price for them, otherwise your sell offer sits on the order book until you cancel the order.

Where are individuals actually selling Brownie Points? Are there major exchanges with BROWNIE/BTS trading pairs?
Just OpenLedger

What more ?
I am looking for key players,  their orles and funds raised if any.
Alternatively, just name them and I could do the rest of the research.

P.s - is there a central repository with this info ? If not ,why not make one ?

http://neura-sx.github.io/#ecosystem/entities

It's not a central repository, just my recent attempt to collect & structure the important information.
(if anyone can offer help to fill the missing info / fix mistakes - it's very welcome)
That's cool, maybe you could add the original unofficial BitShares Blog:)
The last post on it shows a few other international resources for BitShares info http://bitsharesblog.com/bitshares-news-and-the-worldwide-web/

Meta / Re: [POLL] Tipbot Yes/No
« on: December 13, 2015, 08:52:04 am »
Just an idea I had for some middle ground, it might be better if tipping was confined to a single thread. Tips and confirmations all in one spot,  and only forum tips generated in that thread would actually work. Those who want to tip because someone said something significant, can quote or post a link to the comment next to the tip code in the tipping thread. This would be good for a few reasons, but in the very least, when I click 'Show unread posts since last visit', I wouldn't be alerted to a tip confirmation post.

General Discussion / Re: Cryptofresh Block Explorer + MUSE now available
« on: December 12, 2015, 08:30:59 am »
In the feed, the word 'wants' doesn't tell me the difference between if a trade has just happened or if simply someone has just placed an order, can the text be more specific?.

For instance, I put up a sell order the feed says this:
bitsharesblog wants 39,400 BTS for 2,000 OBITS

A little while later a trade happens, the feed says this:
madawc wants 725 OBITS for 14,280 BTS

If I was just reading the feed, I have no idea whether a trade has just happened or not.

Technical Support / Re: Referred User Upgraded, What Should I See
« on: December 12, 2015, 06:44:23 am »
Thanks, I had seen the cashback and that was why I asked, I expected to see it as a much bigger number than it was before but it really hadn't changed. Oddly, I now see my referral count on CryptoFresh is back to 11, and the account that I thought had upgraded which was missing this afternoon is back.

Depends if Site B is set up to pass along referrers to the wallet... one such site I believe is bitshares.org (and probably openledger.info). As I understand it, linking to bitshares.org?r=me gives the same reward as bitshares.openledger.info?r=me. For most sites/blogs, you'll get no credit unless they have enabled some way to pass along the referrer parameter/cookie.

Thanks man!
Someone needs to test this, for instance when I click on https://bitshares.org/?r=bitsharesblog and then on that page I click on Download Now or Online Wallet, I don't see the referral link in the URL (i.e. it shows the wallet URL as https://bitshares.openledger.info/   and not like this   https://bitshares.openledger.info/?r=bitsharesblog#/create-account which shows it passed on the referral info).

Technical Support / Referred User Upgraded, What Should I See
« on: December 11, 2015, 09:36:46 pm »
On CryptoFresh, yesterday I had 11 referrals. Today I have 10. Of the 11 referrals, only 1 was an active user, that 1 account is no longer listed on CryptoFresh as a referred account, so I assume he upgraded to LTM.

That is a good thing, now where do I see evidence of the reward in my account, as I don't see anything via CryptoFresh or OL?

Freebie / Re: Sharebits Securitah and Forum Mods
« on: December 11, 2015, 05:16:59 pm »
I've been trying to figure this out too. When I try to generate a security code it tells me,
"Your withdraw code private message has been placed in queue".  I'm presuming this is the security code that is needed to be able to withdraw? If so, how do I see it?

It's sent as a private message to your forum account here, twitter or reddit depending upon which account you have chosen to tie to your Sharebits account.

Ok, thanks. Any ideas why I don't ever get the messages here then?
Got it, it is the withdraw code you must enter to sign in, for me it was the first and only withdraw code that I requested that was pm'ed to me awhile back, that worked when I put it in just now.

Is the withdraw function not active yet? When I click on it it says I should be signed into my bitsharestalk account which I am.
Sign in using your security code. You need to enter this parameter to perform authenticated-required transactions.

What security code are you referring to, I also had this problem the other night.

General Discussion / Re: Simple Binary Prediction Market Discussion
« on: December 08, 2015, 08:43:38 pm »
Why not allow delegates to publish results of an outcome?

They can publish the result if the committee decides to create a prediction market asset.

It can all be done right now.

If this can be done right now, fairly easily maybe we should ask just one high profile/interest generating question on an upcoming event, simply for the sake of showing it can be done on BTS.

We may get some positive attention as a result, if not it would still be good to test it out & also to gauge interest.
