General Discussion / Re: Few hours to launch 2.0
« on: October 11, 2015, 07:07:42 pm »
Here is my take on BTS current situation:

Crypto Sphere has been anticipating the launch of BTS 2.0 for over a year. The platform is said to be groundbreaking and a breakthrough.

At the moment, just before the launch, it sits above dash.

After the launch, I don’t see it falling bellow the instamined dash, cause if it does the project will be tagged as an absolute failure that couldn’t even compete with an instamined sh..

If the project is a success then it has Ethereum as competition. For it to be tagged a success it has to surpass Ethereum market cap but not at the current valuation. Ethereum has had its moment and is now on its deathbed. Bitshares has to surpass the Ethereum market cap once it was on its peak.

Ethereum and Bitshares are not the same, also market cap pumps are neither a way to value a project, it is the project itself.

How long is the market history kept / display for? Am i guessing is based on the number of blocks, as opposed a full history? Mine keeps clearing after a while.

Chrome, W10.

Buying, borrowing, selling (to myself) is all good. A bit confusing to see where your active orders are (until you see them). But I do understand the lack of space, vs extra headers.

The chart at the bottom, seems broken or needs some background colour. I only see the volume black lines.
Great :)

The chart at the bottom got fixed this weekend.

Agree about the open orders, we could add a header but I'm hoping we can keep it as clean as possible.

PS a shortcut for entering prices is to simply click on the depth chart, it will fill the buy/sell price with the price you chose. And you can also click on the order book, although I think we might run into some matching issues due to floating point math errors, would be nice to have some testing done of that actually.

I actually figured that out myself ;) So it is rather intuitive. Only thing is that if you change market direction usd/core <-> core/usd the same values are kept, which I don't know if is either good or bad.

You may not needed, this is how I fixed my issues:

My wallet was would not sync from the past 6 days.

So I finally launched the client rebuilding the index:

Code: [Select]
C:\Program Files\BitSharesX\bin>bitshares_client.exe --rebuild-index
Waited a few hours and my client was fully synchronised.

Finally I rescanned to get the latest transactions.

Code: [Select]
scan

Make sure the only folders / files is your wallet and the new chain.
