General Discussion / Re: NXT forks BitShares 2.O mojo! goes for scalability
« on: February 24, 2016, 11:17:22 pm »

While we are sitting here in a circle jerk arguing about dilution, other people are taken our ideas and running with them.
Same procedure as every year ..
At least we wont have much money to spend innovating in future

Shame...

General Discussion / Re: Introducing Cryptonomex International (CNI)
« on: February 23, 2016, 04:18:02 pm »
Back on track: I have met both, Manuela and Ronald in Amsterdam. It's been the main motivation for me to go there from the beginning.
We have had quite some nice talking about how to bring CNX/CNI and BTS more exposure.

For those that cannot read between the lines: I will be a part of CNI as a technical consultant and also contribute as business developer.

That is also what we did during d10e in Amsterdam. I had quite some talks with businesses, investors and others and usually started of telling them about
our toolkit to deploy blockchains (graphene) and quickly told them why they shouldn't deploy their own chain (shared user base etc).
In the end, most have been very excited already when I told them about market pegged assets. After telling them about turing completeness, confirmation
times, FBA, and 0-fee transfers most went crazy.

In short, we have an awesome product, we just need to start selling it to people and that is what I plan to do.

Excellent @cass + @xeroc

General Discussion / Re: Hyperledger Contributions

I joined (still catching up after the holidays). Will be CNX / Graphene interested to contribute to the Hyperledger project?

I think the MIT Enigma project is rather interesting for privacy. I don't know how the Hyperledger project will work as it seems to be aimed at private chains (well at least the participants are)

General Discussion / Hyperledger Contributions

Hi,

Have a look at the contributions made to the Hyperledger project:

https://github.com/hyperledger/hyperledger

Ripple, IBM, Digital Assets and Blockstream. Interesting to see IBM using "deployable" smart contracts in GO, and their offering for Bluemix, I would like to see how it competes with Azure.

@xeroc
any update, plans?
I am still trying to find a platform that can deal "live" coding with reasonable "lag" .. livecoding.tv didn't work well .

worst case would be that I record something and post it to youtube or so ..

Do a recording it will live for ever :)

Fox you are right,  but lets not kill the BTC / Witness discussion, but also continue with the idea of storing data in Graphene.

@bytemaster I am also interested on how can we utilise Graphene as the core of other business domains, and as way of storing structured and tamperproof private data. At the moment all data is public, regardless of the type of chain public / private. Enabling this we can introduce enable domains like Insurance, Police records, Health, Voting, etc, which they have a need to private (only certain people can access it), tamperproof, but also moving forward as blockchain based oracles for smart contracts in public chains.

General Discussion / Graphene: Data security and verification on the chain
« on: February 12, 2016, 06:42:09 pm »
Hi,

This is not a Bitshares but a Graphene question, I am interested to know what are the options using Graphene to store data which cannot be tampered but also private, and only nominated people can view it maintaining an audit of access.

Also what are the options to revoke access to the data and / or change nominated people.

More context something like this:

or this:

General Discussion / Re: Bitshares price discussion
« on: February 12, 2016, 05:37:53 am »
What is the motivation? BTS is going to be the next pump as it is the only one underpriced at the moment. Obviously if there is support by everyone and lets it ride. Either that or it is kept at low price... until a big announcement to avoid sharp dumps.

i will be interested, but not next week

Muse/SoundDAC / Re: Plans to Monetize through GooglePlay/App Store?
« on: February 11, 2016, 11:09:21 am »
I think the only way around it will be to purchase pro features of an app, which includes free Artist Coin / Muse.

For example Badges :)

Great analysis.. the ISP metaphor makes a lot of sense. Transactions are free yet prioritized. Micropayments viable unless a bandwidth hog drives the price up. Businesses compete for bandwidth & get higher priority for their customers by acquiring more stake.

Exactly. As a business I will buy more to scale my reach.

Can this be done like yesterday? This is a great idea, one of the things that attracts businesses and users to use crypto is the cheap transfers. Referrals won't be affected as more traders will use the system as most normal users use the DEX.

General Discussion / Re: Things I don't like about the committee
« on: February 08, 2016, 10:16:31 am »
I think all the discussions should be on a open forum and recorded. Everyone should be able to participate,  so they should not synchronous but asynchronous. Slack / Forum is ideal for this, if not we are creating subgroups of people with a greater preference.

Note: I am the first one that loves to have a chat with everyone (as some of you know).
