Thanks for standing KB,

I've also posted the Job on BCT - to encourage more candidates and interest in the coin.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=453993.new#new

I'm continuing to remain neutral in votes (currently not voting for anything except the CHA award), but part of my job as CEO is to encourage competition for the roles.

Hopefully more people will step up. Thanks for your input... was wondering what your voting stance would be!

107
I would run a distributed pool :D
-Please, do not open source it.

That is why I am not sure yet, but thanks for your input.

I would probobly run a poll after election.

Or maby I should do it before? I dont know...

MemoryCoin / Re: hashrate down (was: 1gh under ddos, 90% hashrate gone)

As difficulty goes down, profitability for miners goes up.
So what about the price? Difficulty can be 50% of what it is now and the price can still be profitable.

Ordinarily, I would say the price would go down because it is easier to mine, but the same amount of currency is being released, so it could make no difference.

thanks for the fix.

didn't do anything, it may take 1 more election block (20 normal block)  for latest votes to affect. mmcvotes parses memorycoind debug logs for voting stats.

hmmm... thats a cool idea :) Ordinarilly I would just modify the source code to add an RPC command to return the json.

ok, well, my votes should have been visible by block 13020... so I was just wondering...

no, I think a big miner left... 1gh does not seem to be DDoSsed on the MMC pool (the max pool was DDoSsed last time I check though)

112
5 votes - totalling 25056 (manually calculated)

hmm... not TOO bad for one night :)

To the mmcvotes operator, am I missing something... or should I be listed?

The thread has only had 64 views... maby I should change the title...

Oh, did I mention I also hope to accomplish a memorycoin wallet android app like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.schildbach.wallet&hl=en - Its an opensource project

Actually, the CNO, CTO, CMO, and CEO could all help with the production of that!

MemoryCoin / [CNO] New CNO, Blockchain viewer, and Distributed Pool System
« on: February 07, 2014, 05:29:03 am »
For those of you who do not know me, I was the first person to make a successful pool for memorycoin

...and I am back with new ideas and new services!

Who I am:

I am a speedy, supportive, and experienced developer in the US. I will work to maximize my work for pay.

What I am doing:

* Brand new, quick, KISS (that means simple) block explorer for block and transaction searching with AJAX and socket.io! (has some minor bugs, but really minor) (see below for link)

* Super fast bitcoin node (test it! ./memorycoin-qt -connect=xpool.xram.co, download speed is very fast alone!)

What I will do upon election:

* Move the block explorer to a nice domain on http port :)

* Make accurate and equally fast node viewer

* Begin development of a new pool system, designed to balance the power:

    - Will either Opensource specialized pool code

                     - OR -

    - License it at a cheap price

* The pool software will be provided with the intention to be connected as part of a distributed network which will be autobalanced, spreading the wealth and using the power of numbers over 1GH. Additionally, small pools will be protected from DDoS attacks.

* Developers who run the distributed pools will be able to contribute to the code to improve the pool system
    - This IS NOT P2Pool!

Try out the awesome block explorer: http://xpool.xram.co:3000/

Like it? Then what are you waiting for? Cast your vote for CNO: Send 0.00000001 MMC to MVTEcnogH2ArcvpkYJ66GcErb1iwHhLPN1

I will begin all of the above projects upon election. Details regarding the plans will also be released.

So... I started investigating the balances in detail, and there was indeed a problem with them being too high... so the marked balances that were on the website are not what you will be payed. The server never had, nor mined the money to pay it. I think the balances were not being reset after payouts... to be specific.

So I have offically decided to do this:

The block that was last found by the pool is going to have its payouts refreshed. Those people who helped mine to the very end will be payed.

And as a result of the mess up, and additional 25MMC (or so) was added to be divided with the block. I hope this makes up for the trouble. This uses almsot all of the remaining money on the pool server.

This might not be the right place to post this, but some person under the address of MSp2XeZBFvWYWnFPZqMWxvi58sjSy2qBVF is trying to connect to the XPM pool with a memorycoin address.

To that person: Could you please instead connect with an XPM address? Your connection attempts are stressing the pool server. Thank you.

MemoryCoin / mmc.xpool.xram.co - Closing
« on: January 03, 2014, 07:02:50 am »
hello all,

XRamPool has had many troubles since its initial launch. I have done much work to improve the pool over this time, but many problems still remain. Memorycoin has accomplished a wider variety of pools at this point... so I have decided to close XRamPool down.

Yes, payouts will be made. Sometime tomorrow, you should get the amount listed on the website.

The server will be taken down at 00:00 UTC on the 4th of January. It is my hope that we mine a block before then so that we can pay for our miners efforts over the last day or so of mining with no blocks found.

Now, I do not plan to be done with the community here - Eadword (my partner) and I have already started a new project which should involve Memorycoin to some degree, as well as many other cryptocurrencies. Keep an eye out for it :)

While XRamPool MMC is closing, our XPM (http://xpool.xram.co/) and DTC (http://dtc.xpool.xram.co) pools will remain fully operational. If you liked XRamPool, consider joining them. As always, we are constantly working to improve the pool software.

Also, I have decided that the source code will not be shared with anyone. It will remain completely closed. I am sorry if this dissapoints anyone :)

If there are any other questions regarding the closure of XRamPool MMC, please do not hesitate to post on this thread.

Well... I'll keep my fingers crossed for payout  8) to MSp2XeZBFvWYWnFPZqMWxvi58sjSy2qBVF

Thanks for the address... I will do a manual payout if all doesnt work... the server has plenty to pay... but it still doesnt work for some reason. Irritating.

Your unconfirmed balance is a lie BTW... there is a bug in the pool where it does not refresh unconfirmed balances after moving to confirmed. Sorry about that.

119
hey all, I just found out payouts were executed. here is the transaction ID: 482db6765e9343a3db2e2505c60cf5efbc8fca1f0b55adc43043503c33130139

now, at the same time, there might have been problems with the payouts... some balances still seem high. I dont know how this keeps happening, but I might have to reset user balances... or just close down the pool since I cant figure these things out :)

Anyway, there is 282 on the pool to be payed out still... that is at least one block. so I will find out why.
