Let's set an initial target: to surpass MadCowCoin. A few steps away. I like cow but not mad cow, do you?

ah, yes, great marketing strategy! Jokes!

Either way - the coin is nearly voted up to that point.

62
are you suggesting that I should make an automatic voting bot?
I would say to create a convenient way for us to vote for our be-loved coin(s).

well, I cant seem to create an account, I entered in a quite secure password and I cannot login now, I have tried resetting it, and that does not work either. I am far less impressed with this exchange now.
That is the point of using sth. like 1Password?

sth? Either way, I just got it to work finally. I will test out the voting thing, and then I will see what I can do for a convienient solution.

yeah, I was just going to mention that the coin could be voted up quite a bit if someone spent just 0.1 BTC for 1000 votes
Or, maybe you have some tricks  ;D

are you suggesting that I should make an automatic voting bot which votes 5 times for the coin of choice every hour?

There are many of projects underway and completed which few other coins have even tried. Examples:

http://memorywallet.org/

Electrum for Memorycoin

MMC Tip Bot on Reddit

MMC Faucet

New MMC Website: http://memorycoin.org/

MMC Dice

...and more... P2Pool will be done within a month (at least, that is my plan) you really need to do some more research. Even though the price continues to fall, the inflation rate is still high until next year. There are already more than 5 million coins.

Sorry for no links BTW.

Please list my block explorer, it is more reliable than coinplorer, and more obvious than agrean!

http://mmcexplorer.info/

I have been (and still am) working very hard on it.

Great guide though.

I cleared out my blocks folder ~/.memorycoin/blocks

I restarted it, but the errors came back. How it reads

"errors" : "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade."

I think you also must clear out the chainstate folder in Memorycoin as well.

The block explorer is broken. It does not display TX inputs correctly.
E. g. for dba0542f63a5e20d9e70ffae355bb127e8e58cd0295ada5c188152983f991bb7 it shows one input of 1.71... MMC from MTYh659qurE3bgVL4SSe3AarYNBQ6cQpky and one output of 153.47... MMC which is obviously inconsistent.
In fact, that TX has 4 inputs, and none of them are from that address.

Broken? No, just flawed.

Try again, I just fixed it. Sorry about the problems: http://mmcexplorer.info/?query=dba0542f63a5e20d9e70ffae355bb127e8e58cd0295ada5c188152983f991bb7

I have no problems using bter, they are the only credible exchange that has adopted MMC early.

I don't point my mining address to it anymore. I send it to my actual wallet.

same here, Bter is the best exchange we have in my opinion.

Hi there. This sounds like a good idea.

How much bandwidth one needs to run this?  I have a spare dedicated server with 8 core, 24gb ram on 1GBIT line.

I might be able to set some nodes.

Not very much... just reliability. I think we are OK on nodes for right now though, so hold off.
