MemoryCoin / Re: CSO / CMO / CHA positions compromised

CNO position is also compromised. One of its votes comes from this address
http://www.chainbrowser.com/memorycoin/address/MG7BQJRFfVjwgoJqXDGy7Sqx6scQr6jRqa/

That is the vote that is keeping it ahead of everyone else.

Well CNO is being won by an actual declared candidate - FaSan
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=369487.0

So I wouldn't call it compromised - there's always healthy discussion to be had about whether there are better choices for voters to make, but it's only when there are undeclared candidates winning that we're in serious trouble.
111,000 votes which come from himself. The other votes really count for jacks*it. While its not as bad as the others he is not the one chosen by the majority. Just himself.

Been waiting nearly 2 days for an MMC withdrawal...

Not sure but I read at bitcointalk that they had problems with withdrawals.
Not the end of the world. I just need them by next week so I have a little more funds for the gambling service. Sure it'll get here eventually.

Current CNO position is compromised, the vote that is giving them their position is from this address:
http://www.chainbrowser.com/memorycoin/address/MG7BQJRFfVjwgoJqXDGy7Sqx6scQr6jRqa/

Which has 111,000 coins. Without those votes I would actually already have the position

I PROBABLY have found out what causes high percentage of rejects. I'm working on a fix. The service can sometimes be unavailable for a few minutes. Sorry about that.
excellent work!
No, I'm still working..
Well done on finding the bugs, if you have any questions or need someone to talk to I'm here. I know just talking to someone about code issues normally lets you work them out!

MemoryCoin / Blockchain based gambling service starts next week!
« on: December 26, 2013, 11:42:15 pm »
As a lot of you are aware I have been working on a dice service for all of us to use.

I have written the code, I am just awaiting a server to arrive that I can leave on 24/7 without worrying. These will start off blockchain based but I am looking into a web client in the future.

The house edge will be 2%

I would really like to have some feedback on features you would like. I will initially unfortunately have to use 6 confirmations due to the current state of hashrate dispersion but once I have wrapped my head around all of the features of bitcoind I will make all bets based on the input of the bet itself so there can be 0 confirmation bets.

I would appreciate any votes for the CNO position, as this will be the first service accepting Memorycoin and gambling services are an integral part of all alt coins. This along with me developing an SPV wallet should be a considerable boost to our economy.

I am already in second place for the CNO position, please may you tip me over the edge!

To vote just send 0.00000001 memorycoin to this address:
MVTEcno2tbsJWj7AQEyEjgk72j94hbPHFm

I am currently raising money for Seans outpost, and holding the charity position. And in the future will have made an SPV and web based wallet!

Some votes may be rewarded when the service is up and running;)

See address here http://www.chainbrowser.com/memorycoin/address/MVTEcno2tbsJWj7AQEyEjgk72j94hbPHFm/

Below is my initial explanation of why I should be CNO, at the time I intended to take on both the role of CNO and CEO
Quote
I would like to apply for the position of CEO and CNO.

Anyone who sends me a private message can have my full resume, along with a letter of recommendation from a previous employer.

A little about myself to start.

My name is Isaac Goldbourne, and I am a 24 year old computer enthusiast/entrepreneur based in the UK. I would label myself as a libertarian to a degree, however I do see a need for a little regulation on some substances and weapons.

I have studied information security and worked on behalf of a US Military contractor here in the UK providing infosec services as a full time job. This involved penetration testing their networks and various in house platforms that they had created, and then finding ways to tighten up the security using the latest technologies of the time to prevent both machine and human error from compromising the security of confidential documents and information.

On top of this I have studied video game design (both from the artistic and programming side) and have been employed as lead technical artist among many of my roles. However more recently I have taken running my own businesses often revolving around cryptocurrencies. I have engaged in daytrading with high success rates and I am an active miner of both scrypt altcoins and of MemoryCoin.

As CEO it would be my responsibility to oversee a large amount of this project and to ensure its success, I would treat this as I would any other business and start off by laying out the foundations for a solid currency. Before going straight for major exchanges we need a secure platform, this means checking the code for fatal flaws and having a solid foundation of miners to protect the blockchain, as well as assisting from the marketing side of things.

Another large step towards reaching the heights of currencies such as LTC is to have a large number of services available, with the assistance of the CMO I would create a large number of these services using the funds out of my own pockets. Instead of just creating a thousand awful block explorers I would recreate popular services from the Bitcoin ecosystem, such as dice games and mixers. I would also try and create alternative wallets, and would look seriously at creating an SPV wallet. While this would be costly to me in the long run it would pay off, so it is in my best interests to fulfill my promises. I shall be looking into the creating of a mining pool however there are obvious issues around the current infrastructure for mining that make it less viable for such a coin as this, but we can get around those issues.

As a later project I shall attempt creating an online wallet with blockchain.info style security using coinpunk, which I shall modify to fit memorycoin however that is not a priority.

My role as CNO would be similar, however I would have more restricted access to resources and not take on the responsibility of managing my colleagues. I however feel that I could fulfill both roles to a high standard at the same time. I have the ability to lead small teams in an efficient way, in order to achieve a market leading position that this coin deserves - as arguably the only non scam CPU coin.

Feel free to field me any questions you may have. If you believe I can fulfill both roles please send a vote to each address.

MemoryCoin / Re: Show support for MemoryCoin on cryptsy!

OFFTOPIC: something like this https://just-dice.com/ would be totaly awesome for MMC
I was planning a dice game thats just on the blockchain to be honest, but that seems just as possible. The only problem was I intended to host this on a server I have at home. I guess I'll just have to set up (another) server.

I'll see if I can get my head around that.

We still need more support.

I'll take the opportunity now to say what do you guys think of a gambling service and SPV wallet?

MemoryCoin / Re: What are you trying to accomplish and how is it going?
« on: December 26, 2013, 10:48:19 pm »
Actually this makes me realize that I'm doing poor job explaining on the site why MemoryCoin 2.0 is probably the most innovative coin there is. I'm truly convinced that MemoryCoin has more innovations then PPC and XPM combined. Will try to fix that.

Elections system is one the the several very cool innovations of the coin. Think about it! This is amazing. No other coin has paid officers who are helping to develop the coin and who compete to get the job. But because this is so innovative there is criticism. It's OK. Every cool innovation has criticism. Think innovative POS of PPC coin, or ASICs, or even alt coins group in general. The only way to have no criticism is to do no innovation. Everybody loves DOGE, coin with no innovation whatsoever. But when FreeTrade did something really cool and innovative suddenly there is criticism from everywhere. Isn't this ironic?
I totally agree with you, officers are highly paid at the moment but when there is the reduced block sizes that will go down a lot. And competition for those places will increase. I'm currently trying to get CNO/CEO. Guess I'll get them when my services are available

Cpu coins is very good but botnet and zombies is very bad  for mining.
Yeah unfortunately that will be a problem for us. Not really possible to bypass except with PoS (most botnets would want to just sell and move on not hold coins)

I don't understand what the purpose of your coin is, Protoshares is backed by the value Invictus imbues into it by honoring it with distributions.   What do Memorycoins do that make me want to do anything but sell them for more than I bought them?
You could say the same thing about any coin. Infastructure will come, we will ensure that.

Its a CPU coin, that wasn't 98% pre-mine. It uses a new PoW algorithm that will not work on GPU/ASIC and is the most innovative of ANY Alt-Coin currently available.

MemoryCoin / Re: One pool with almost 100% hashpower
« on: December 26, 2013, 07:55:04 pm »
Community doesn't have any option. No chances to mine solo, only one working pool.

The initial miner was fairly bad, now the issues with pools make many people disappointed. Design of the coin is interesting, I believe it has a bright future if we can get through the initial problems.
But voting doesn't help to get things done. If the pool is only one and we want miners to stay on this coin, we need to accept it has all the power at the moment. Or make it more attractive to solo miners.
The guy has sold the source code, more pools to come in a few days.

I've stopped mining until then and will jump on the next pool to help disperse hashpower

MemoryCoin / Re: One pool with almost 100% hashpower

Currently there is one pool with almost 100% hashpower. It makes MemoryCoin very unsecure at the moment.

We definitely should do something with it.
The creator has sold the source code to "a few" people.

Personally I feel it should be opensourced.

Still got a few days until they create pools :S has the damage already been done?
I am asking how much it will cost to buy, but I imagine it is a ridiculous sum. I would have a pool up by this evening however.

Opesourced to community of greedy, selfish miners who don't mind to mine with every bit of cpu power they can get for free or steal? Hmm, what could possibly be wrong with this?
The fact that they are already doing this, but on a pool that can damage the network
Not this early. You do not want to 51% the coin you have income in, that would kill it right away.

On the contrary -- this is the perfect time to cement your own business and damage everyone else. You don't have to destroy the currency as such, you *are* supporting it, but are the only party who can mine as much as desired -- and you can let others mine, or not mine as you please.
Until, say difficulty rises and you lose interest.

It is *really* bad idea to release new crypto currencies without already designed mechanism to start pools -- with open source software. People will mine anyway -- making sure that only few will have the privilege to benefit from this is bad. Wasting lots of resources by building closed source "sort of works" pools is expensive for everyone.
I don't mind the serverside being closed source as long as there is at least 6 other pools. It does work well in all fairness but one person should not have this much power.

I got the feeling that the MMC community doesn't mind single persons being in power.
One pool, one marketing guy, one supporter. My proposal to create a team of supporters didn't get a single reaction since it's been posted 7 hours ago...
Link me your post, you have my vote.

And the pool is the only person who can forcibly damage the coin. CTO can't force us to fork etc
