5.5-6 hp/m

Needaserver has a 2x6 core package with 24 threads but they only list the CPU as a Xeon, no model number.  I ordered the basic package at $60 which has 2x4 core package (16 threads) but I'm only getting 1.4 h/m.  Wondering if I upgraded to the 24 threads if I would get 5-6 hashrate as you mentioned.  Or is the CPU model going to matter that much?  (I have a ticket in with NaS to see if they will give me the model info on the cpu)

Thoughts?

Reorder - My AMD card is on platform 1, I have a nVidia on platform 0.  How do I get the miner to recognize the card on platform 1?

Thanks.

Macbook Pro 2012 Retna
i7 @ 2.6ghz, 4 threads
 ~0.76 h/m.

Didn't run it long though, wasn't able to cool the CPU to a reasonable level during the run.  Just wanted to see what it would do.

Is there an issue reporting the current hashrate?  Because my CPU tells me I am at ~ 3.5 h/m but the extasie site reports me at ~ 1 and going down.  When I look at my workers it says I'm not active at all.  I have 3 cloud servers also pointed there.  I should have at least something to show for it.   :)
Speed calculations are still off .. I'll look into it. But it's only a display bug, all the shares are correctly credited ;)

Also "fixed" the payout problem, blocks on the pool confirmed before the blocks confirms in the wallet .. I added some MMC as a buffer, everything is properly working now.

Just so we're clear:  I'm talking about the Dashboard graphic (I can tell the pool payouts are off - and the workers are reporting at khs/hr).  When I point my miner from my desktop CPU to your pool it starts out slowly increasing rate until it's close to what my minerd output tells me (~3.5 h/m).  But after a while, like an hour or so, the graphic shows my hashrate decreasing slowly to zero.  If I quit my miner and restart it, it slowly increases, like it should.  The question is: is this a graphic glitch on your end or is there something going wrong on my end?  My CPU shows pretty solid and steady usage as seen from the task manager, and the minerd output shows a pretty consistent 3.5 h/m.  I'm trying to figure out why there's so much variance in the dashboard reporting.  If it's a WIP, that's cool.  Just want to be sure.

Thanks.

how to check wether a cpu support AES-NI while using cloud server?

Run this on the server:

Code: [Select]

Using CPUminer I am unable to connect.  My settings are:

Code: [Select]
"minerd.exe" -o stratum+tcp://extasie.net:3333 -O user.worker:password --threads=8
Do I have this wrong?

Thanks.

hi,
What digitalocean plan to buy for mine mmc2.0
any idea?

I've explored  https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=05409c936950 thoroughly.  It is not the best resource for CPU mining because their CPUs do not support AES.  However, believe it or not, your best bet is the 2CPU because you get ~.29 hp/m and it only costs .03/hr.  If you upgrade to the 4CPU you will get around .4 hp/m but it costs ~ .12/hr.  The 8 core gets about .6hp/m.  So cost wise, the best bet is the 2CPU.  $5 can last almost a week!

Joyent has a free trial offer, $65 credit/month for two months.  And Windows Azure also has a free trial.  Both support AES and you get much better hp/m.

Good luck!

So, guys, can you write some manual for mining in http://joyent.com?
They have free $130 for trial. I didn't get how to login in the instance via ssh (using Cygwin). It asks some password that I dont know.

When you create an instance, you need to create a private key.  Download puttygen.exe to creat a public key and use that in Putty.

As for loading the miner, my guide three posts up should work as long as you select Unbutu as your OS.

Note that the $130 credit is $65 per month for two months.

I PROBABLY have found out what causes high percentage of rejects. I'm working on a fix. The service can sometimes be unavailable for a few minutes. Sorry about that.
Realy very high rejects .

I am waiting fix.

good luck

+1 & +1

It's strange how it's my cloud servers that are being rejected, low CPU versions especially.  My desktop CPU never gets rejections.

So here's what I've done to get this working on Digital Ocean, Windows Azure and Joyent servers:

Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install -y git make g++ build-essential libminiupnpc-dev libdb++-dev libgmp-dev libssl-dev dos2unix libboost-all-dev autoconf libcurl4-openssl-dev

git clone https://github.com/glitchman/mmcminer

cd mmcminer

sudo apt-get install automake libcurl4-gnutls-dev

./autogen.sh

./configure CFLAGS="-O3"

make

./minerd --url http://work.mmcpool.com --user MLzSj31GVDqYLstZjFFqoGjafhiGz5FkRo --threads 8

Change the address to your address and the threads to the number of threads you are using.

Windows Azure 8 CPU = ~.9 h/m
Digital Ocean 8 CPU = ~ .4 h/m
Joyent 8 CPU = ~ 2 h/m

Funny thing though, the Digital Ocean 2 CPU droplet gets almost .3 h/m - and at .003/hr, that's your best value long term.  Although everything has been rejected so far, so maybe it's not such a good deal.

NOTE:  I am a linux noob, really have no idea what I'm doing.  I just tried different suggestions from other posters in this thread and found a sequence that works.  YMMV.

To start, I'm a linux noob so these may be basic questions, but please answer if you can.

Using the directions listed earlier in the thread I've loaded this miner onto a few free cloud servers and got it running.  But under individual stats, the pool does not appear to be updating my work from these servers.  In my window I see:

Code: [Select]
[WORKER0] Hello, World!
[WORKER0] GoGoGo!
connecting to 162.243.216.74:1339
MemoryCoinMiner started
[MASTER] work received
[MASTER] work received
[MASTER] work received
[MASTER] work received
[MASTER] work received
[MASTER] work received
[MASTER] work received
hash generated - 2643 / 1968 / 924297987
hash generated - 3318 / 1968 / 3458445307

This is on an 8CPU compute with AES capabilities.  Questions:

1)  Does the output look right?  Am I mining?  I have several of these servers and not one has submitted anything.
2) Is there a command to give that tells me what hash rate I am getting while mining?
3) What does: 'hash generated - 14067 / 1968 / 2427032049' mean?  I'd like to understand this output.

Thanks.  And big thanks for putting this pool up!
