General Discussion / mac wallet 0.4.10 can't start
« on: September 04, 2014, 01:17:37 pm »
It was working yesterday, but after I restart my mac.
Got error "An error occurred while trying to start" after the splash screen is shown.
Doing uninstall/reinstall doesn't help either.
It kept crashing until I hook up my VPN then it works. ( Yes, internet is censored in China)
I suspect that it's related to network issue, but do not have more information.

I checked ~/Library/Logs, but don't find anything generated by BitsharesX.

Please let me know how to get more crash log so that I can post the detail for diagnose.

My mac is OSX 10.9.4

Thanks.

中文 (Chinese) / Re: 说明一下现在交易引擎中的价格限制

现在的BitUSD市场
1 hr avg = 31.2640  其 9/10=28.14
lowest short = 28.5714
highest bid = 29.3255

还是没有成交呀

请问在哪里可以看到平均喂价? 有命令行吗

To Summarize the Proposed Rules:

2) The network has a standing buy order for BitUSD at  90% of the "current price".
3) BitUSD purchased by the network are saved in a Market Account
4) If the Market Account has a non-0 balance, then no new shorts will be executed.
5) If the Market Account has a non-0 balance, then there is a standing sell order at "current price"

I generally agree with this idea.
Feel free to write a robot to create or consume short orders from the market.
But please do NOT put this in the market code. Otherwise it will break the "free market". Why it is 90% not 91%? it's not the developer to decide.
We can open source the robot code so everyone can set up a robot using their own preference.

请问是像转账那样固定 0.5 的手续费还是按比例比如说 0.1% 这样计算的?

General Discussion / Re: List of New Exchanges for BTSX

I nominate anxpro.com

They have a bitcoin debit card that allows you to do purchase or cash withdrawl globally as normal debit cards. If they can implement a debit card with bitUSD, it makes a lot of sense to use bitUSD as cash.

The introduction to their debit card is here http://debitcard.anxintl.com/

Technical Support / Do not understand how to mine keyhotee ID
« on: January 04, 2014, 12:19:09 pm »
Hi, I just read about that formal keyhotee ID need to be "mined" when it's formally released. I just can't imagine the mining process, can someone explain it for me? Thanks in advance.

Not like mining a certain number of bitcoin, an ID needs to be selected and submitted to the system first. Does mining an ID mean I need to input my ID first and then wait for my wallet to mine a block so that it gets into the block chain? If so then the registration can be very slow when difficulty goes up. If not then any client can easily create a lot of requests to flood the system. I know I can be totally wrong, any help is appreciated.

Secondly, if keyhotee Id need to be mined on a block chain, will it honor PTS and AngelShares? How?

Thanks again.

Looking at the "top" command, the miner is only running at <70% of the computing power, is there any tweaking tricks to improve the performance?

It looks like the pool get stuck in current round, now it's >20k shares.
Not sure if this is a real difficult block or a pool error.

Difficulty: 0.000009 Round Shares: 20112

Hi, KillerByte, Thanks for you effort for the pool

I got following output in my miner, it looks like it's sending the same share within a short time. The first is accepted and the second is rejected. Does that mean some duplicate work is in different threads? Maybe you can fix it to make the miner more efficient.
