Mind sharing your account name so it can be researched on chain?

If you fill out the address correctly, it will only take three seconds to reach the account +5% +5% +5%
When it works it's awesome. If something goes wrong you're hosed.

Bad news, considering that openledger is the only deposit/withdrawal option for many of us. We badly need more gateways, or even better p2p ramps.

Ya, was great when bitAssets had support on the centralized exchanges. There was another service that allowed butUSD->Visa for a while. That was pretty sweet. I've heard Redux is coming but haven't dug into it yet.

It has been great for me too for a long time but once confidence is lost it's hard to regain. As a UIA I can't imagine what could be more important than honoring the IOU in a timely manner.

For the record my last transaction was July 9th. I've logged a support ticket and done weekly followups and made noise in the Telegram group to no avail. The last response I got from support was, "We'll let you know when the issue is resolved". The response from the Telegram group was, "They are swamped". In the mean time it's announcement after announcement of new stuff. Yikes.

Each new announcement of new features, markets, etc. from OpenLedger is exciting but is tinged with fear. Withdrawing Open Assets is a complete crap shoot. You either get your funds instantly or get into the support queue which can take anywhere from a few days, a few weeks, or over a month to get a transaction processed.

With all these new markets, products, and services being added I can't imagine things are going to get any better.

If you need to withdraw Open Assets the safest bet is Open.Assest->BTS->Exchange.BTC

There has been real issues lately with Open.Assets and it's getting worse. My first issue took a few days to resolve, then a week or so, and now I'm at over a month on my third issue. If you withdraw Open.Assets it is either instant or in purgatory for an unknown amount of time.

Welcome to purgatory - at least it's warm here :).

I love BM !
If it wasn't for him , i could not have brought that much cheap BTS than I had 3 years ago.

Can he make that drop happen again ???

WOW! Welcome bak to the forums Riverhead, long time no see.

Guys, this is one of the early BitShares pillars here, one of the core community members who helped to make BitShares what it is, particularly the BitShares community. Hope all is will in your world James, and hope to see more from you here in the future.

Thanks for the kind words, Thom :). I haven't been posting but I've still been spreading the good word about Bitshares to whoever will listen and correcting the many many misunderstandings out there about what Bitshares is and what it isn't.

Is there a way to view the total supply of bitUSD, bitGold, and all the SmartCoins?

I am wondering if the market cap of bts is anywhere near equal to 175% of the total value of all SmartCoins combined, due to the need for at least 175% collateral for every(?) SmartCoin.

What does the ratio of
                          MarketCap(BitShares) : MarketCap(total SmartCoin's)
tell investors?

I use bitshares daily and find it an invaluable tool in my crypto life. Near as I can tell it's not going anywhere.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Proxy: xeroc
« on: July 19, 2016, 11:52:25 am »

 - added nexus-dev witness
Trusted Ethereum company with many tech enthusiasts from the BitShares space working with them. I believe @Riverhead runs this witness for them.

IMO in the interest of decentralization you shouldn't be voting for both riverhead and nexus-dev, if both are run by the same person.

A valid point for consideration to anyone that sets Xeroc as their proxy. They have leveraged my experience running a Steem witness to bootstrap their witness candidate. They are in the process of procuring hardware and I'll be handing it off at that point. I'll update this thread when that happens.

5:48 PM I think there’s a scammy algorithm on metaexchange that gradually increases the buy price as you continue to send to the same ETH address. I had to send to 2 accounts this morning and I saw it start at one price and move up with each transaction.
5:48
As is, the bid-ask spread starts at 10% which is terrible.
5:49
Since i don’t have a choice, I guess I have to take it. I only have 1 BTC left to send, so I’m only going to get scammed for another 5%

i don't get it! Does he claims he scams metaexchange?

No. He's saying that each time he sends the price gets worse - which is true because that's how the algorithm tries to balance the sides. It's not so much a scam than he doesn't understand bridge balancing.

The Ethereum blockchain is up and running: it just works.
  • Contact the guys at UjoMusic: http://ujomusic.com/
  • Negotiate a merger between Peertracks and UjoMusic.
  • Launch the new Peertracks Dapp on the Ethereum blockchain.

You realize to implement everything MUSE wants to do you'd basically have to recreate Bitshares on Ethereum. That would be an entire suite of smart contracts to handle ad hoc user issued assets and market pegged assets. I like Ethereum and am actively involved in a big Ethereum project but it's not the golden screwdriver. If Peertracks were to release on Ethereum it would push release out 8 - 12 months.

Also keep in mind that MUSE is not Peertracks. If you push Peertracks to Ethereum then MUSE is dead unless another business can be found to release on the platform. Be careful what you wish for.
