Muse/SoundDAC / Re: bitshares client / muse client question
« on: January 05, 2016, 02:34:24 am »
Thankyou.  As for openmuse I couldn't find that on CCEDK

OpenMuse does it a bit different. They handle the entire transaction inside the client via the Deposit/Withdraw screens. On/off ramps, bridges, and client integrations are all at different stages of refinement. It's a bit rough at first but not too bad.

You need to go here: https://blocktrades.us/ and select trade.muse from the one dropdown and MUSE in the other. Once you've done it once you can use the memo value to do repeated transactions.

There is a tab in the wallet called "Deposit/Withdraw". With that you can utilize an on/off ramp service such as CCEDK to exchange a token on one chain for a token on the other.

Is it OpenMUSE or similar that you have on the BTS chain?

Read my last 1000 posts.
We have done nothing but encourage and incentivize this competition.

Ask the Maker guys what I told them in Shanghai.
Ask BunkerChain Labs how we work with them.
Ask BitSapphire how we work with them.

The only thing hindering competition is the economic opportunities they can see.
And we are fully focused on that.

There is an opportunity cost for CNX to be the only subject matter expert. Having the knowledge and needing to do the legwork isn't ideal at all. The better situation for CNX would be to get work with a revenue stream while continuing to be a knowledge resource to others.

Anyway, what I really came to say is that Stan was very excited about the prospect of other developers working on projects independently. The only time he suggested using CNX was in the capacity I mention above - as subject matter experts.

Ryan is not Rune correct? He seems to be the most active developer next to toast  on the project?

Correct. Ryan is a machine that converts caffeine into code.

You don't need a memo when withdrawing MUSE from Yunbi. You specify your account via the "Manage Addresses" link on the withdraw form. Then you pick that address from the drop down.

do we have any chance to save this name for our purposes ?

A vast amount of prior art. With the blockchain no one can dispute the early uses. However, at least in the US, money talks - as shown in this case: http://www.nissan.com/Lawsuit/The_Story.php

Great! The shareholders can hire talent and have the blockchain pay them.  +5%

Thanks riverhead :) I need to improve the caching layer.. but witness votes are fixed for now. Do you still see the rounding issue?

Rounding still an issue. Just need to look at a Muse balance in both the client and on Crypyofresh. For most purposes the rounding isn't a problem - I can still see transfers and don't need to see them in fine precision.

That's really great @bitcrab
Instead of fighting each other, we are starting to make use of the platform.
Always good to have diversity.

^^ This.

To turn my broken record player back on: This isn't a short game. It's not Stealth or nothing or MAS or nothing. It's a linear implementation of features. Until another software house gets up to speed on Graphene we'll just have to live with a serialized development path. This isn't ideal but it's not devastating. People have been saying since the start that we need feature x, y, or z next week or we'll lose first mover advantage. In my humble opinion as long as development keeps moving forward we'll eventually get everything we want. I don't see any "or" options here just "which order".

No one wants another software house to step up more than CNX. There is a lot of work they could be doing for a lot more money but, and again this is my uninformed opinion, they are held back by their desire to see BTS succeed and the lack of anyone else willing and/or able to work on the protocol.

Well, this took a turn.

So I just finished HTML/CSS and Javascript programs on codecademy... I'm also following the "learn javascript properly" from javascriptissexy.com as I just bought the suggested text book.

Anyone still doing the codecademy thing?
I'll likely do JavaScript over the holidays since I have the time.

I'm just lost at what bitshares is and what we're focused on.  I cant explain it to anyone much less get them to buy something so complex.  I thought we were going to find a niche (like the decentralized exchange) and leverage and exploit that niche.... That is what successful businesses do. They don't go running after every new idea they have without completing their previous one.

I don't see how that's changed. The core devs for Bitcoin don't need to buy into every business idea out there that uses the protocol. Businesses look at what Bitcoin is and figure out how best to use it.

CNX being a knowledge bottleneck is a legitimate concern but not one for them to solve alone. One could think of this as a marshmallow bus test.

The witness page is out of sync (votes don't match what I see in the client). Also, there is some issue with how the muse is being displayed. It's rounded to the nearest 10 it looks like.

Great work on the site as a whole. Keep it up!
