A well written impostor.

Odd that they will not honour the snapshot. How has every other self respecting exchange done so and not Cryptsy?

Seals it for me. No more trades of mine will pass through that exchange. It is an abuse of trust and display of greed.

Does leave the question...

What are they doing with all the PTS held at snapshot? Claiming from genesis and reaping the profits? This sounds like a juicy story for the crypto world. How can we find out and trace these funds? They hold a large sum of my BTSX so I am willing to pay BTC for any one interested in a factual blockchain investigation.

They deserve an article.

John, thanks for the graph and link.

But shouldnt a fibonacci retracement have 100% at the start of the movement, and 0% at the predicted end of it? 100% retracement means that the drop in this case has recovered back to its starting point and will continue with a new movement.

Your 100% retracement is at end of the movement, meaning its not a retracement. Thats how I interpret fibonaccis anyway.

Ah.. whoops. Yes it is inverted. Heres the update after we broke under, Im still long. I didnt think it would go so low but I think its about to break that downwards trend line..

Does bitcoinwisdom display BTSX yet? What is the url for that chart?

And where do you think this dump will bottom out? I feel annoyed that I got caught up in the hysteria again and didnt sell at the top.

Im personally holding off on using the BitUSD exchange until the bugs are worked out. That's probably holding back adoption for a lot of people. Then hopefully BTSX will recover.

Here is chart link http://www.sosobtc.com/kline/btsx/btc38.html you can also get to by clicking on advanced chart from BTC 38. Looking at the chart tells me the fibbo line of .15193 is the bottom. That looks like a a solid entry area but TA is not always right and is more of a guide.

The BitUSD exchange is very profitable if you are reading these swings but its not so liquid right now and larger movements afford the gains. Its so early in the game what more can we expect.

Chill out.

The peg is trading at a discount because that is what we think its worth. A new economy has birthed and we expect it to track perfectly? To me, that is the nature of our BitUSD to trade at a discount on open. Factoring risk etc it seems perfect.

Until the dollar (BitUSD) gains confidence, I don't expect it to reach parity. Its been a few days and we are unnecessary panicking. Let the economy discover itself.

The price is correcting naturally. After the tremendous gains investors are taking profits and celebrating. If you put down $50k and made 1/4 million under 2 weeks you sell. We see this in the alt market everyday. Its normal.

These runs don't continue forever, there is and always will be a correction. You cant stress over natural market forces, its a terrible way to live. The sell isn't due to or related to BitUSD peg, quite frankly no one gives a shit right now.

BM and all the devs are doing some of the worlds greatest work. I don't understand most of it, all I know is it can change the world and I need these BTSX. Its early days in the timeframe and were all lucky to be here!

Take a look at the chart below and identify key support, resistance and trend lines. Right now we are at one of significance. A strong green candle off that Fibonacci line is what your looking for. We are in a correction that has met a long term upwards trend, sitting nicely on solid resistance.  Any break out of that rectangular box will be of great interest be it up or down.

Looking out for that fat green candle..

Would be perfect to have this market up soon before BitGLD as its easier to trade the BTSX/CNY on BTC 38

So I opened up short positions @ 23.75 and 24.1782 of 1200 and 1100 BitUSD.

I think BTSX is about to start increasing in value.

Open Orders
TYPE   PRICE (BTSX/BITUSD)   QUANTITY (BITUSD)   COST (BTSX)   COLLATERAL (XTS)   ACTION
Short   24.1782   1,100.00   26,596.02              Cancel
Margin   31.6667   1,199.9997      57,000.00    Cover

I doubt the 24.1782 will fill.

But I notice the cover option I can click on to cover the short position. Can somebody explain this feature? How exactly do I close the trade and make a profit/loss?

Can anyone explain what happens here?

Thankyou  :D

Ok so I am looking at the market and thinking the current moment will be a nice entry to go long on BTSX.

I have my BTSX loaded in the bitsharesX client. What is the best way to profit from a rise in the BTSX price?

I dont like it one bit but I need to access the deep liquidity over at the BTSX/CNY pairings. Will be glad to hear when other login methods are activated  :D

so it's just a coincidence that immediately after Dan anounced that Invictus will purchase a large amount of bitshares the price started to spike? Second where are the ags holdings? Third, charts show a cascading purchase pattern this does not require every order to come from i3 just the bootstrap to create the speculative cascade.

You'll know if the currency experiences a rapid correction. We saw this same pattern with maxcoin.

Any smart investor would have bought, knowing it would trigger a market reaction. This recent rise is due to the new markets opening up and the success of them. BitUSD.

I dont think a rapid correction confirms your theories. Perhaps we will correct, but these markets remain irrational and bubbles keep going far from where you would expect.

This was without any doubt, done to prop the market cap.

Read the disclaimer,

*Total include business development agreements that are still pending.

Convenient enough to issue a few billion ripple that is for bogus business agreements.
Reeks of desperation, fraud and incompetence.

Come on now, let's not go that far. How is that different from I3 buying BTSX with AGS donations? I think it makes perfect sense for I3 to do that, especially if they believe in their product and want to hire help using BitUSD.

But same could be said for Ripple, it's OK for them to incentivize developers/business partners. Let's not call it desperation, fraud and incompetence, just because it happens to mess up your coinmarketcap stats. Ripple has done some serious innovation in the space, even if it is not obvious to the naked eye.

I think your right, I went too far with that.

It is a convenient time to answer all the press articles with a magical comeback to no#2. It is not about the market cap that bothers me, its the internals of how ripple works to allow such activity. Ripple in  my opinion has always been fraudulent of its cap. There is no trade volume to justify that figure, only hidden vaults of premine.

It is desperate, but perhaps incompetent is misused.

Has everyone forgotten that invictus is dumping ags funds into bitshares? Your market spike has been largely due to the bullish position invictus has taken. If I buy millions worth of litecoin, then it would spike too. Market caps are vanity metrics. Real value is preserved over the long run.

Sorry Charles I strongly disagree.

By following the money its clear that local chinese demand is fuelling the boom with over $3M USD flowing in from CNY daily.

The bitcoin demand approached 800k in the last 24hrs but has averaged in the 400k USD.

Invictus is not buying millions of BTSX. Chinese investors are.
