Something come to my mind while I was reading this very interesting topic. I am not tech savvy so please take this in consideration while riding further.

There is a tool IMB Watson http://www.ibm.com/smarterplanet/us/en/ibmwatson/ that process natural language from huge amount of uploaded documents in I way humans do and has ability for hypotheses generation and dynamic learning. Their business model include leasing of server and their search engine.

I don’t know anything about cost effectiveness of such a model but some dev.delegate could build some cognitive app that could provide targeted searches from different forums, social networks and many other related sources or, community as a whole could establish some predefined goals and make app or built in wallet option that could provide suggestion or be set for automatic voting mode.

I suppose this could looks silly and potentially very dangerous but leaving voting like this also looks silly and is potentially very dangerous considering voting apathy. We need something asp that could worked for some time until further development come up with some more decentralized solution and some kind of open source platform.

Anyway this tread gives me hope something could be done about it after all  :)

We are going for mainstream (next year)... but in the short term we need to find more "true believers" who are in this for the vision and not just the service.

Than I suggest song with better message:

I am not actually tech concerned but feeling this feature of DPOS as extremely important.
How far is this from actual implementation?

Any time frame?

“Nice stories” – these is what is needed!

There are bunch of stories like this, with data and all other stuff that provide example how governments and other incorporated structures such as big Banks are using its power for extortion.

We need to collect those stories and use them to build our Core Story, Chat Holmes stile.

General Discussion / Re: What does a BitUSD early adopter look like?

I am sorry I miss up this tread. There is lot of noise around here these days. That’s what you are doing is very important and I have promised to support you as future dev delegate. Until then here is some of my thoughts on a topic.

You have probably hear story of Obvious Adams from Jay Abraham. If not please check here:
 http://lcweb2.loc.gov/service/gdc/scd0001/2006/20060721003ob/20060721003ob.pdf

I think Obvious Adams would probably go after LocalBitcoins community (LBC) but before any objections to that mater I would like to explain my meaning.

There are about 500 alt coins out there. Majority of them are POW. There are also bunch of unemployed tech related young people 18-35 who mines them, searching for easy buck. Guess what, in a time where they could only find low wage manually labored job, they are doing cool stuff filling joy of independence, capability and usefulness.

Before continue, I would like to point to one major things I have learn about marketing. In a marketing you are basically after peoples fillings not after theirs reasoning.

They also like socializing, spending time on forums and social networks talking about their mining rigs and cool new POW coins. In those groups few of them are specialized in whole selling, trading and on-off ramps for fiat. Those are also most active members of LBC. There is no need to talk about issues they are facing with various crypto exchanges except they have strong need for hedging against crypto fluctuations and also dealing with KYC procedures and fees from different on-off ramps such as Banks. The crypto community, as whole is facing growing regulators interest, so in the future things are only going to be worst. That’s why they are using Localbitcoins on the first place.

Now, there are probably more niche groups in LBC that should be explored. They all have strong need for Bitusd but probably have different approach model.

Those people I mentioned above, would be the most obvious early adapters of Bitusd. You only need few of them and they will do the rest of marketing for you. They will spread a word for you, so fast, in a way that most expensive marketing campaign would look like work of amateur.

I hope this could be useful anyway keep up with good work.  8)

Those anybody willing to put actual number?
My guess it will go to the point majority of Chinese community jumped in.

Does anybody familiar with that number?

All the sparks in this tread are Stud Hunt game I have been talking about.

This is obviously panic in charge here.

Keep head cool. Somebody is making profit on it and you should know that fact.

Bytemaster is calculating the remaining fuel burn rate right now.
I'm guessing at the current burn rate we have six months max to quadruple the market cap.
If we do, we will have reached escape velocity, and all will be swell.
Quadruple based on today or on avg price? We dropped another 10% ish today
20% now.
f***

maybe we must first turn the rocket to the right direction!  :P

I am simply in love with this community!!

General Discussion / Re: A BitShares Constitution?
« on: November 01, 2014, 10:54:33 am »
I may go slightly off topic but this could be insightful  :-\

Exactly, and the first crypto currency community that can amplify the wisdom of the entire herd, and get the entire herd to change directions on a dime, without significant losses of the sheep, no matter how dumb, will blow any contract or “constitution” based bureaucracy away, with a leader making decisions before knowing how many of his heard will follow him.

This is in my humble opinion very interesting topic, making the essence of “proposed hard rules” only maybe stated a bit different: “that can amplify the wisdom and resources of the entire herd”

Exactly, we need to have a way to rigorously measure, concisely and quantitatively, how many people are willing to support any particular action.

Voting Dac could do the trick.

And we need to be able to dynamically change what we are proposing in an efficient and easy way, which will ensure everyone is still on board, until we get things at least near unanimous, so we don’t lose anyone.

This is the tricky part, at least for me. Could you please explain in plain language how exactly it could work?

118
Now in order to not to be misunderstood I am all against dilution based on voting because it is fundamentally broken model long term. Short term it gives protection from SEC and other forces that could jeopardize young baby. It is so to speak fast solution, mother nature shifts for survival and thrive. So probably there will be another shifts in consensus model in the future so prepare to enter the unknown.

I have mentioned this already in another tread, dilution based on voting is Stud Hunt game. Long term it undermines trust in the whole system. It is welt redistribution tool. Only free market can do this effectively and efficiently and all other attempts to do so are fundamentally broken.

119
What are the real reasons for this “turn around”?

The dilution thing based on voting is another means for efficient voluntary donations. There are no clear obligations attached to it so SEC couldn’t go after you. You are buying time. We need those in order to survive, period.

You will get my vote too.
