Technical Support / Re: Bitshares X Balance incorrect.
« on: August 04, 2014, 10:14:07 pm »
Great thread... sticky this for BTSX wallet please! Solved my pending transactions. and other dependent problems too.

Also noticed that it was not re-scanning the blockchain correctly too because the delegate approval increased.. without any of anything else do changed... found it weird.. and did the usual wallet delete, wallet import (via priv keys) and rescan/download...

What I found that could make the issue happen again.. is when there is need for a transaction before the blockchain is sync.. and you close the wallet.. then latter some time.. you reopen.. it will only start scanning from the date it "re-opens". Not sure. but this was the feel I got.

I was able to successfully import my PTS wallet private key into one account. I have used the key (not the file).

Did anyone tried this one yet?

- what do you mean by " link the coins"? -> If you were a holder of PTS.. by the time the DACs appeared.. you were promised some BTS. Then BTSX goes on.. then the app shows up.. how do i use my DAC converted coins. How do I link the keyhotee private key or key founder to BTSX account?
- what was the question then? Specify "multiplication" -> BTer announced... "Notice: We have scaled all users' BTSX funds based on extending the total BTSX from 4 million to 2 billion. Please beware of the market price change." What I wanted to know.. is if this really happened to the chain too (that I am seeing as it happened), when.. and if your old coins.. where multiplied too, or.. at what conversion ratio if not.

Note: I answered the questions in reverse order. So my answer 1 was the answer to your questions 3 and so on. Sorry for the confusion.

So.. I might have applied the wrong words.. I am not a native English person. I am valuing your dedication though.

Clarification above. I hope. Otherwise.. please comment.

For your first question there are two ways:
1) In the Bitshares-x client go to Accounts->Some_Account->Advanced->Import Wallet->Drag your PTS wallet.dat file onto the field or enter the path.  This will import all your private keys and you'll see a bunch of deposits to that account from "GENESIS". NOTE: The passphrase it asks for is the one from your PTS Wallet so that it can decrypt the .dat.

2) Open PTS wallet, unlock wallet.  In the console type dumpprivkey <public_address> and then do as in 1 but on the import key tab.

SOunds more.. like I was guessing.. but thanks.

Does that convert the snapshot amount of PTS.. even if you don't have that amount of PTS since after the DAC snapshot?

Q1: I still dont understand. Do you mean: How do I claim my BTS X?
Q2: I hope I understoof your question right. BTS X was just released there were no coins before. Of course the price changes of the money supply changes but the market cap which matters to you doesnt change. Can't answer it better than that.

Thank you for the initiative.. Bytemaster team.. will know how to answer this.

Q1: Yes. For PTS DACs only.
Q2: There where no coins before.. but you were given the change to apply for DACs by holding PTS. Those investments.. granted you.. some investment conversion.. to BTSX.

Sorry guys if it's already answered somewhere..

I am running on work.. so less time to this.. but I wanted to ask:

- Where/how can we link the PTS -> BTSX conversion coins (besides Keyhotee) to the accounts from the BTSX toolkit.
- Did the coins suffer the same "multiplication" we see on Bter? When?
- Any quick/summary of BTSX so I can share this AWESOME STUFF!?

TO the best/complete answer I will donate 1 BTSX! =) and report back the experience.

Best regards folks!
- Info: bitshares-x.info and http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/Bitshares_X  - > That does not explain how I do link the coins.. I am looking for a customized (time expensive) answer. The "google it" thing.. i know how do to it quite well (no offence please). Again.. I am looking for valuable answer for BTSX Community. And therefore.. I tease your answer. =) I could do it my self.. But I am more interested in getting some other guy / girl ...
- Didnt suffer. Amount of coins doesnt affect market cap - > I know that.. that was not the question...
- dont know. -> OK. Thankyou anyway.

Thanks deludo.. 10% answered. Why.. check BOLD response above. But very welcome thanks anyway. Please don't take it personally, I am just trying to bring more value.

POW of NRS has ended .

Is it possible to obtain a number of Pool to mine PTS instead on YPOOL , please ?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT

Automatic mining from NRS is now over PTS over YPOOL

Just found something very appealing for users of 290/X.... and above...

Summer is coming and I am waiting for my AC upgrade... in order to run overclocked GPUs and CPUs.. without burning at home.. so.. super experiments.. come to place.. where you try to lower the temps at all cost!

I have set the 290X (via AMD driver).. to -50% power.. and -47.x% GPU clock... and xarammmmm the results! AMAZIMG!!!

This is... brutal efficiency! Temps when from 72 ºC -> 60 ºC (on die with over 28ºC temps ambient)!! The current AMPs went even further!.. 82 -> 60 ºC!!! Power consumption varies.. as the card is constantly changing clocks... but.. in average.. is a lot less.. I would say.. 40% less power consumption.. So.. guys..! more viability to 290/X GPUs than with the older ones.. the 270X can't do the same...

But I would like to ear from your results... mines are like this:

Code: [Select]
13:37:17 | 4256 c/m | 8.366 sh/m | VL: 5742 (98.98%) | RJ: 56 (0.97%) | ST: 3 (0.05%) | ART: 52.5 ms
 (47.62/37.61/23.32)

For the ones that use the GPU for multiple purposes... (and only for 290/X models) i found out that using "-a 3" it's actually a more performer mode for mining... but also more prioritizing for the same realm. Giving you little usage for other multipurpose activities: games, video accelerated streaming... and everything that uses about less than 50% of your the GPU.

I found that the best option for multipurpose/mining is "-a 0".... as I have been using till now without problems. The observation taken is simple:

"The mining is running over the background.. and when I start watching a film with GPU acceleration, it crackles a bit until it adapts to the new workload.. then it settles just right for it.." - using for example "splash PRO EX".

Using "-a 3" you will experience a millisecond lag.. periodically... let's say.. less than half second period, where your eye experience a freeze over the frame.

Is this true for newer versions of CPU/BOARDS/RAM etc?... I have a X58 with XEON 4Cores and 1600 DDR3.

Disclaimer... This is a result of several software and hardware experiences.. ones more noticeable than others... but.. they all conclude that the most adaptable choice is the one I mention (-a 0).

What is the ART over the miner?

How is it measured...

you need about 1200 shares for an optimal result

Yes.. for -a 3 specially... for the -a 1 and 0 it was somehow quicker to stabilize or the result approaches faster to the stable one (more than 4h running.. with max/min values)..

Some tests with Catalyst 14.6 on Windows 7 x86_64 (at least >30 minutes to stabilize or +1200 shares - Done.. aborted. I had to change hardware due to local temperature... test env is different now..):
@Mario241077 Thanks for the nice number =)

EDIT: I think Mario241077 is right here.. it takes a lot more time to stabilize.. but at the end.. the result is better, in average I would say (still testing with GPU usage for main adapter).

NOTE: Just noticed that I need no more to switch displays to activate the GPUs without screen connected. =) I am not sure if it was with this new beta. Very handy. This might have been introduced with the Mantle version.

Disclaimer: My results might differ a bit in max/min ration because I am also using CPU to other purposes.. but leaving at least 50% of the logical cores free. I will try to set the max I see and the min.. after stabilization. The results include using the 290X for the display adapter.

The 14.6 is faster than 14.4 for me. 10400 cpm vs 9300 cpm,dual 290x,1000/1250
I didn't test 13.12 though

windows or linux?
