I really like Ear2Ear, very clever, but I'm not sure it's the best name for the actual service. perhaps it would be better suited as a nerdy/cute marketing term? eg: Songster uses the latest and greatest Ear2Ear technology to help you connect with and support the artists you love!

Some random name ideas:

Roar
Chirp
Chirper
Choir
ChoirCast

Why would Ethereum want to associate themselves with Goldman-Sachs? Well, despite any perceived ethical wrongdoings on their behalf, they've proven themselves resilient in the face of financial adversity. Not defending their actions, but at least in my particular demographic of starry-eyed university students, most would kill to work at a premier investment bank like GS, even if they don't necessarily agree with their actions. Working at a place like GS grants high pay, status, and more than anything, a bargaining chip for jockeying the corporate ladder. If anyone in my class landed a job there, I would gladly congratulate them.

I suspect that there are many fantastic people working for Ethereum, and even more for GS. Not everyone reaches the same conclusions about the world at the same time. Would you really condemn and alienate those who haven't necessarily 'seen the light' yet? Sure seems like it.

Fuznuts, you have made some solid contributions to our community. However, you often raise what I believe to be a false us-vs-them dichotomy (imo) that only truly exists at c-level strategy. If you believe that middle management and lower really give a two schilling shit about a global financial takeover, I think you may be mistaken. Sure, there are definitely some Patrick Bateman's out there, but I'm not entirely convinced that it is fair nor productive to lump all of these cats into a single ominous entity.

TL;DR dont hate the player hate the game

General Discussion / Re: Newsletter

Personally, I really enjoy the newsletter but I certainly do not mind if it takes the backseat in favor of far more important business operations. Maybe a quarterly newsletter might be more manageable. Not only would there be more time to perfect each newsletter, but there would also be a larger pool of content/news to draw from.

I also like the idea of crowdsourcing the newsletter but that relies on the community to provide quality, easily digestible articles. Under a crowdsourcing model, what would be a writers incentive to contribute? The good feels from supporting the community? Potentially raising the value of PTS/AGS that an author might already hold? Or would freelance bounties be offered?

has anyone pointed out the two broken images on http://bitshares.org/bitshares/ags-pts.php?

site is beautiful.

the current site aint too shabby but im wondering, why was the last website redesign replaced so quickly? i was under the impression that the previous iteration of the website was created by a professional team experienced in ux/ui web design. what gives?

General Discussion / Re: March Newsletter
« on: March 25, 2014, 03:43:05 am »
i understand the appeal of crowdsourcing the edits, but once something like a newsletter is posted in any official capacity it is liable to be reposted, quoted, etc... anyone could have easily taken the initial draft and circulated the unfinished work for the web at large. could this scenario undermine/dilute the value of the final draft of the monthly newsletter?

my worry is this:
if i knew nothing of bitshares/invictus and i saw the newsletter posted on reddit or tweeted in its unfinished form, my gut instinct after seeing the third or fourth error would be "wow, what a bunch of amateurs, they cant even be bothered to proofread their publications." my next move? click the back button on my browser and forget about bitshares

i suppose my biggest fear is that other people are just as short-sighted, irrational, judgmental, and nitpicky over grammatical stuff as i am  ;)

please tell me im crazy

1) the Keyhotee image on page 8 is different from the logo displayed on the Bitshares.org/solutions website. you may want to consider changing it just for the sake of being consistent

2) "You can even keep them all for your own greedy personal gain" this line on page 4 comes off a bit abrasive, but perhaps this was your intent?

overall an exciting newsletter, there are absolutely tons of projects to be hyped about
