MemoryCoin / Re: What's the latest version of MemoryCoin wallet?
« on: April 14, 2014, 09:45:28 pm »
How can I make things worse when I have no control, stake or a power in this coin? You know what, my top MMC balance was around 3000 MMC. I have never been in a position, supported you guys and lost. Lets start from the beginning. As a professional translator, I translated MMC page with a nearly 80% discount compared to my regular translation projects. I contributed to have an automated payment gateway for MMC. I became the first merchant to accept MMC when there's no payment gateway around while accepting any loss in gold/mmc trade and ended up with 0 customers in 4 months. I offered the community to create MemoryCoin gold bars and got no response. Now BC gold bars are in production phase - you know why? simple, community support! collaboration, working together, developing ideas, teamwork, that's what I'm after always.
I can do some more but my critic list is a long one to travel the entire planet multiple times that you can't imagine and you, (not personally you but the community) preferred bunch of amateurs, namely itsik78 - a marketing officer watching bter market most of the time, letting people know about current market prices, tips, robonix (an immature guy as we understand from that bold candidate campaign), identity failed isaac goldbourne, cencor seraphim (decent but clearly not enough for the position), a so-called CEO who doesn't provide version information of its releases, a CEO that had approached me from hundred miles away when I first started to accept MMC in the store, etc..
in this community, even some of my messages are deleted.. cencored.. thanks to seraphim. we thought nazi germany was failed but it seems it's been resurrected here.
now it is getting even worse but please do not accuse me that I'm making things worse. I'm just telling the truth publicly and it sometimes hurts.

you may ask me why I'm criticising so harsh.. and I say I still believe MemoryCoin's voting power.
I think the coin should be written from scratch without a premine, with market decentralization, early POW/followed up with POS just like in BC, ECC, AC.. summer is coming! :)

I'm sure someone who is not tech-savvy will download this outdated client by looking at your reply in Bitsharestalk forum. Declare this "Nothing to worry, we handled it" statement in the official page, then. Considering the latest post in the official page goes back in February, this new statement will look weird, definitely but if you CxO guys post something, you can be sure that I will appreciate it.
Guys, show some emphaty and decide yourself. In my opinion, the wallet update is a must and should be done ASAP! even though there is nothing to worry. This is totally unprofessional approach. and if the responsible person is not capable of updating the wallet client, I must tell him/her to resign immediately.

Stale, have you realized this yet?

My attitude or my critics may be harsh and not for everyone - you might notice but I'm really not interested in these kind of excuses anymore. You wrote it just yesterday. Heartbleed bug was first discovered at the beginning of April. The wallet should be updated symbolically, at least. But who's in charge for the wallet development now, seriously? Killerbyte, FreeTrade or you? Nobody gave a proper answer to this question and I gave up this challenge today. If you guys busy with watching the markets, I respect that. Then let's shut down MemoryCoin. What's the point of having MMC on the cryptocoin universe? I have around 2700 MMC left now, would like to sell (selling those on Bittrex just to make some movement there) and leave the community. I think I made some efforts in the past and I'm happy with it. This forum is my first presence in the cryptocoin industry. I was furiously deleting my account yesterday - later I kept calm. I may get angry with any kind of words from this community from now on, therefore it's better for me to leave you in peace.

MemoryCoin / Re: [ANN] Coaex - MemoryCoin Gold Exchange
« on: April 14, 2014, 11:50:55 am »
MemoryCoin is removed from Coaex once more due to security issues with the wallet and lack of support from the community. I hope it wouldn't take long to re-enable it, this time.
To re-enable it in Coaex, I want these tasks to be accomplished by CxO guys:

1) Exchange decentralization (Multiple markets with at least a depth of 2 BTC/daily each)
2) Pool decentralization (Max. percentage of pools should be at 40%)
3) A symbolic donation in any amount of MemoryCoin from at least 5 community member, especially from former/current CxO guys (That's due to your past performance in your duties.)
4) Fair distribution of the coin (I don't want to see x15 increment from the biggest stakeholder through the rest of the list.)
5) Wallet Update!
6) Official Page posts (paid blog writers, at least send 1 post a week.)

I think my message is clear enough. I know you guys are already working on some of these but you know, it is not enough. Feel free to comment, share your thoughts with me by using the contact form here: http://www.coaex.com/support/contact-us/

Thanks.

MemoryCoin / MemoryCoin on reddit
« on: April 13, 2014, 04:36:51 pm »
I don't know who's responsible with reddit but... as the first merchant accepting MemoryCoin (and no support yet), I think I have the right to criticise. Have a look at reddit page once more and please update it responsibly.

So do it! What are you guys waiting for? Should I tell you this after a week since heartbleed is appeared?
There is a serious security bug and most of the other coins' wallets are updated but MemoryCoin is not.
You know what, R.I.P. MemoryCoin! No wonder why it's depreciated so much till this date.

I browsed the Downloads section and saw v0.8.583 for Microsoft Windows. Still the latest version.
So is this version vulnerable to recent OpenSSL Heartbleed security bug? Any news? Who is in charge for the development for Wallet now?

I think this should be clearly stated on the homepage - MemoryCoin.org
I'm not sure which version I'm still using or which version I'm downloading from the website.

MemoryCoin / Re: Bter has halted CNY deposit
« on: April 11, 2014, 09:48:49 pm »
I wish but I'm still not so optimistic about the price will go up after these news. Considering the amount of coins minted, it will take long time for MMC to be stabilized. (my estimation for stabilization is at least a year from this day). It may go above or below the current price about 25% in the short-term (0-3 months) and 10% in the mid-term (3-12 months). After a year, MMC may be stabilized at levels 5%. This is a rough estimation, though.

MemoryCoin / CoinPayments.net Shutdown
« on: March 08, 2014, 06:27:36 am »
This is the official announcement from Coinpayments:

Quote
It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the closure of CoinPayments.net. FinCEN has ruled that Bitcoin is in their purview which would make us a money transmitter. We simply do not have the resources to register with FinCEN and most of the 50 states as a MSB and comply with all of the AML/KYC laws (and no realistic way to raise the funds to do so.)

The shutdown will happen in 3 stages:
1. We will stop accepting new user registrations effective immediately.
2. We will stop processing new transactions at 11:59:59 PM EST on March 24, 2014 (transactions already in progress at that time will be completed).
3. The website will otherwise remain operational until 11:59:59 PM EST on March 31st, 2014 when it will be shut down.

Any refunds due must be requested by the end of March 31st, 2014 and any funds held in your account withdrawn. Keeping the website open for a week from the last new transaction should give everyone ample time to wrap up their affairs in the site.

We extend our sincerest apologies to you and everyone else who has relied on CoinPayments for over 7 months,
MrData & pr0d1gy
CoinPayments.net

It seems we will have only salih's automated OpenCart payment processor for MemoryCoin but I think most of the merchants will discontinue supporting the coin just because they have been using WooCommerce. I kindly request from salih or any other members to implement the payment processor plugin for Wordpress+WooCommerce.

I think you guys have been using Open Sans font. Is there a chance to use "Open Sans latin extended" only for Turkish? Another font is displayed for Turkish special letters.
I can send you a screenshot about this issue.
