MemoryCoin / Re: [ANN] Coaex - MemoryCoin Gold Exchange

We were talking with FreeTrade couple of days ago about MemoryCoin printed Gold Bar cards.

First of all, what is MemoryCoin gold bars?
It is a customizable card contains physical gold inside it. In special days like Valentines Day, St. Patrick's Day etc, IGR produces that kind of gold bar cards.
See an example here: http://www.apmex.com/product/81193/1-2-gram-st-patricks-day-gold-bar-pre-sale-2-12-14

I talked to gold manufacturers in Istanbul today. It is possible. However, I have some concern about the demand and benefits to the community.
I was quoted by two different manufacturer, I may visit some others but my time was limited. Here are the offers I get:

IGR
The cost of custom production is around 3,000 USD. (Negotiated till 2,500 USD)
The minimum order amount is around 250,000 USD worth of gold.

Nadir Metal
The cost of custom production is around 1,500 USD. (Negotiated till 1,000 USD)
The minimum order amount is around 150,000 USD worth of gold.

I'm sure these amounts will be a bit more lowered when the actual agreement is made.
So what do you think? Is it worth to produce that kind of stuff or shall we switch to cost effective solutions such as keyrings, apparel, some low cost products?
As for Coaex, this will be our long-term goal. We can make it with fundraising or with reseller agreements with Arab merchants.

Sorry, that may be more a US-specific silver history inside joke - look up "crash JP morgan, buy silver".

But seriously, boycott cryptostocks until cryptsy puts MMC on - ever hear of "vote with your wallet"? :)

But not seriously - CStock would be a great for places looking into virtual incorporation based in MMC, b/c of the charity aspect.  And, the voting aspect lets them form "sub-corps" within MMC.

haha yeah, I know that story but the joke was irrelevant.
I travelled along the city and damn tired right now. Some big news on Coaex thread. A new trolling opportunity :)

Hi,

is 10g the limit for now?
What about 1oz or 100g?
 +5%

For now, yes. We haven't agreed with the manufacturers for the best price, still negotiating. I think we will find a way soon.
For orders from 10 gr to 1oz, I think it is best you name your price and we see what we can do for you. I submit your offer directly to the manufacturer, add Coaex profit (~1-3%), then ship it to you.
As for escrow for bulk orders, we are still sceptical. We can do that for close countries to Turkey like EU and Arab countries, we were doing business with our Israeli/Palestinian friends like that in the past. but I can't promise escrow for US and Far East Asian countries for big orders.

Yes, it's me.
Free publicity - just like I did on eBay.
No one will buy it but people will start looking into it.
As for the poll - It could be a good idea if we recruit the community to vote for it.
We'll get to all of these places, don't worry.
Takes time and patience, but we'll be there.

*facepalm*
You know what? I got a better idea. While I was selling gold with Bitcoin, I realised I can offer some cashback. If I can complete this recent trade successfully, I will offer the customer a MemoryCoin cashback. (haven't decided the amount yet but would be generous.)
Short Story Long: Sell some tangible goods or maybe services with either of coins, offer some cashback with MemoryCoin. Then thank me or even vote me :))

For escrow service, I found a new auction site - cryptothrift. I have no information about this site but their alexa rating seems okay.
However, MemoryCoin is not supported on their coins yet. Well, if I get enough sales with Bitcoin, I can make some pressure there! :)

I just listed 0.5 gram bars for now.
Already contacted them a week ago.
We will probably be in the next poll.

great! keep up the good work.
btw, I sold all of the golds there with bitcoin, waiting for buyer payment. let's see how their escrow works.
requested buyer to verify the order on a number of platforms! this is getting exciting.

edit: hey, is that you selling 100 MMC for 0.040 btc, there? :)
Btw, I don't think poll is a good idea for MemoryCoin. We have a little recognition in the entire cryptocoin market. (at least I know why.)
When Coaex got enough amount of sales via Bitcoin (hopefully we're getting some orders), I can make a pressure there.

cryptostocks trades cryptsy shares.  cryptsy does not trade MMC.

so what's your point? it is like saying "herta berlin beat borussia dortmund. borussia dortmund beat real madrid so herta berlin can beat real madrid!" :)

Many of you should have heard sister company of Vircurex - Cryptostocks.
I wonder how MemoryCoin would be a part of that stock trading. Any thoughts?

Stalemate:

You won't get my vote yet, but you can.

Coaex and coinpayment are good, but somewhat anti-manifesto.  It results in a a lot of coins being "washed" of network history / owner info and consolidation of a large amount of value / economic activity through one sites - they're centralization policies.  The manifesto wants us to reach out to miners and empower them, which would mean being more "pro-miner" / "pro-start-up".

I saw you plan to do a write-up / guide / intro to merchant site start-up - that's more "pro-manifesto".  You'll get my vote after I see that, but probably 3rd preference as a "pro-merchant" stance.  Itsik will probably be #2 with a "pro-centrist" stance, and I think I have some ideas for a "pro-miner" stance, so I'll probly vote for myself for #1 for cmo.

@newmine:

Do you know accounting at all?  I was thinking it may be good to advertise and get some individual tax professionals to accept MMC for accounting advice...the season is approaching...

Coaex's first year profit will be used in developing more projects for MemoryCoin so being centralized is out of question. I'm not here to make a monopoly here, besides I don't think I have the power to do that. As for your information, I am much closer to social liberalism and anarcho capitalism. As for writing that merchant guide, it is unneccesary as CoinPayments integration is so simple but I promised and will write that. However, my CSO duty - translation is my first priority now. I've been working tens of different tasks for MemoryCoin in the last 4 weeks along with my job. You just know a few of them.

I've been working for marketing activities since the beginning of 2014.

Your experience is off the charts! Surprised you aren't retired yet! You have my vote.

haha good point. I mean it just for MMC. btw, I know I'll never get your vote :)

I finished tests with CoinPayments today. It works great, safe & secure.
After payment plugin implementation, there are some major changes.

- Bitcoin added. (I'm calling that indirect marketing strategy - however, some of you might not like the idea of adding another coin to Coaex but feel free to leave a feedback.)
- Prices are now displayed in USD format. You see the total amount of MemoryCoin/Bitcoin when you click Place Order. Conversation rate is calculated based on CoinPayments.
- Shipping fee added but this also led to 0,5 - 1 - 2,5 gram gold bar prices dropped a little bit in total. (Shipping fee: 4.99$ for the first item, 0.99$ for each additional item.)
- Coaex is now listed on CoinPayments.net store page. (We will take some measures on our logo, soon.)

I don't understand cryptsy's actions, why would they add a coin as lame as mooncoin but they still have not added MemoryCoin.

Also I notices that on December 28th this "big vern" dork goes as far as to say that MemoryCoin does not exist:

Quote
As I said, we are not participating. We are NOT going through the process required to get the MemoryCoin and thus they do not exist

Quote
We will not be participating in the PTS -> MemoryCoin conversion.  If that is something you want, then withdraw to your local wallet.

Hs sounds angry and it seems that cryptsy is not adding MemoryCoin out of spite, so I say we boycot cryptsy don't use them to trade any altcoin...

MemoryCoin hasn't been added to Cryptsy cause I haven't reached them yet. Stay tuned! :)
