There is only 1 campaigner - Slywax.  His threads are filling up with requests for more info, and I've PM'ed him just now.

There are 6 voters for the charity award - mostly split balances / etc that look suspicious.

If this was an MVTEcXo address, there'd be an uproar to get more info or get it back.  Instead, no one cares?  Isn't the charity award the one we should vet the most?

Thank you, sir.

I've got Isaac and Seraphim interested and helping out.  I'm gonna send them 500 ea, and have them tip it out to me over a week, to see how that would work.

We're thinking of a demonstration site to play with some typical social media functions.  Right now, we're thinking a hybrid blog / storefront / docpost for users to volunteer support or base campaigns from, with some twists in implementing the typical vote / like / +1 functionality that's available everywhere else.

Peace geeks and Horizontality.org both look good - let's just have the community get them to provide more info.

My personal choice is the BTC Oyate Project, but haven't had time to make contact.  I think they're best aligned with the manifesto short-term, but haven't made contact / put together a campaign.

Our charity Horizontality.org has 25 wins, with little information disclosed in English concerning their operations:

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2232.0
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2232.msg27063#msg27063

Most supporting addresses are only voting for that charity and no other officers.  The only supporting addresses of that charity voting for officers are voting for emre & s4l1h.

http://mmcvotes.com/address/MVTEchagLNup4HJycBxbxWVXdiXaWLvbDu

I'm casting 9 votes to kill the coins until we get more information:
MVTEcha11111111111111111111116GDGs

I'll clear those votes as soon as we get more info from Horizontality and/or other charity candidates can re-campaign to take control.

I heard they did the interview in stop-motion claymation.

Some progress in structure, groups, and documentation.  It's basically a forum where you'd have your own child board - kind of playing with the typical forum power structure to broaden into more of a training market / open working environment for small team boards.

http://mmcpost.boards.net/

Anyone got advice on which forum hosting site to use going forward?  I just picked boards.net at random.  bitsharestalk is on a different hosting site.  Different may be good.

Nice - if someone could combine that with a gui / graphic web design mapping votes to different nodes, we could play game of thrones.

Front page from Google translate is below.  Account registration gave me an error about invalid characters in username "MaxPWR", and looks like last forum activity was Oct 2013, but...

From what I can tell, they want to develop that site to spread a labor / politics / distributed management vision and support.  May be similar to what I've mentioned before as Distributism by G.K. Chesterton.  Could be fun.

I'd volunteer to proof-read / etc for them, but not sure if there's better charity votes out there until we get some more transparency in english.

I can hold funds for horizontality until the community gets more info.  I'd add votes below if the officers do so first.  Otherwise, I'd maybe recommend an Officer or other charity try to knock them off for a bit to "nudge" them to give us more info.

Front-page cleaned-up from Google Translate:

The site is still under construction and is not created by professional website design. Evolving, we want it to become the world's leading portal dissemination of the concept of horizontality, and especially welcome a broad community gathered in this spirit. The official release is expected soon.

You can download today's book, The Horizontal, as well as register and hope to chat with the author and the readers on the mailing list

Book

The reference book on the horizontal alternative

What is horizontal ?

The idea of horizontality is a spirit which goes through the world, played by new forms of social movements, revolutions of a new type, as a new open-source world, new forms of management. Many visions are sometimes associated with it, but often by mistake : direct democracy , anarchism , communism , liberalism , self-management , "true democracy."  In our view , horizontality is mostly a concrete alternative capable of resolving major problems of our society, but also a tool for action .

Why this site?

We are more likely to be aware that our system can not continue : the International Finance took control of the political field, preventing any regulation of the economy in a system that naturally concentrates wealth in the hands of less numerous. This is more than an economic crisis is a crisis of democracy. A democracy that has failed to adapt to a world of mass media, economic powers too big , too close links between politics and economics. We know that there is urgency : Threats 3rd World War, unpayable debts , end of fossil fuels or current and future crises. It is we, the citizens , to fight and to take action to preserve our gains and wreak havoc in a world that no longer knows how to put the public interest ahead of individual interests , even when they directly affect the rest of the population. But our biggest problem seems to be the lack of a concrete alternative capable of ensuring that today's problems will be left behind us once and for all.

A sustainable development of society capable of facing the problems of tomorrow rather than yesterday .

Today we affirm that hope exists, and we want to show all together .

What hope?

The world has changed and many new ideas interrelated and interdependent grow . Our ideal of claims include:

Our difficulty in making our decisions correctly, the differences between consensus and consent.
A new world where the extraordinary communications modes allow total transparency in real time all the information related to decisions that affect us.
The paramount importance of an evolutionary system : future generations do not have to follow our ideas, but their own.
The importance of living a vibrant organization of society where we can change his mind , representatives , groups , tasks , experiences .
The true nature of decentralization where your case is handled by you, and what concerns us is managed by U.S.

This site is managed collectively through regular meetings , and he has no head . Our working methods are the best that we could live, and all those who have experienced are unanimous on this point.

A call to join

We need help and a mountain of tasks. We will fight until our last breath, but we'll never have enough help to keep going further.

So basically except for the "1-percenters" your vote is worthless.  So what's the point?

You can make a vote worth more by changing what the address represents within the community, as-in how you market that address on your site.

If that address is a poll / opinion result from visitors on your website, code on other sites or DACs could use the number of votes on the blockchain and update content / adjust performance.

Awesome - thanks guys.  If you want to PM me with address, I can give you a some MMC ahead of time, then you can tip me back with it as you see progress

I reserved both your names over there.  Later tonight I'll configure url redirects and update some more.  I could use your help hashing out / setting up user groups and permissions.

I'd like to do more of a personal-BBS feel.  Maybe just top-level boards are controlled by site mods.  Each user can start as moderator of their own child board, which would be like their own bulletin board / collection of project updates / etc.   This would distribute the sense of ownership and pride, resulting in a flatter/broader structure that's easily accessible like a chan, but self-organized and updated.

I think a good hierarchy of scales - traffic / volume / complexity - is important within MMC sites to meet the manifesto.  You typically need to research before you develop.  Initial new users / ideas / discussions would find the official forums first. New developers, ideas, suggestions, etc that may develop into longer-term "volunteer research" projects or offers of availability could land at mmcposts.  I'd expect activity from mmcposts (projects, new uses, volunteers, etc.) to benefit, support, or get rolled up into end-user websites with larger scales of traffic / volume / etc.

This could also provide a lot of openly biased ways to support price levels.  E.g., OTC trades for operating expenses to maintain liquidity / price at exchanges, etc

Hey guys,

I've got some neat ideas for some sites...but not much web development knowledge.  IRL, I've been a mechanical systems engineer, driven forklifts and cranes, inspected nuclear fuel rods, managed a team of six, led multi-million dollar projects, and presented to top industry regulators.  In MMC, I play a never-ending devil's advocate spawned from the pure evil that is capitalism.

Itzik's doing a good job marketing outside MMC and Serter (stalemate) will help to bring in more merchant services.  Freetrade and the others have made some progress on the back-end for voting, and now the Community can take a look into developing some front-end services.

I've got some ideas of what we could do, but need to write them up and hand-off for some web and programming support, etc.   My project letter is below for initial development funds.  I'm an engineer, so it's written a bit formal like a specification / contract...let me know your thoughts, and I'll check back in about 12 hrs or so.

Disclosure:

I am currently voting for officers from:

(Note to Officers: Voting address below is new - please update candidate list - thx)

Max Power
CEO Funding Request

Please send Satoshi to the following address to vote:
MVTEceoftKAgPVbf7BgbqkPaRmKoZdbZRQ

Introduction

I am seeking up to 3 days of funding from the community block awards on a temporary basis. After this time, the block awards shall be returned to the previous officer.  If additional funds are needed at a later time, I would re-campaign.

The community and I will use these funds to research and develop the areas of transparency and transaction history in the MMC blockchain.

Development Plans

I own and would like to develop the following domain names further to benefit the community:
  • mmcpost.com / mndpost.com
  • mmcbank.com
  • mymemorycoin.com

The corresponding .BIT domains have also been registered in the NameCoin blockchain.  The text of this message shall be stored in the DataCoin blockchain.  The DataCoin TXID may be made available upon request.

Site 1 is being developed as an MMC special-interest forum for posting trade offers, proposals, and requests between individuals, contractors, merchants, and the Community.  It may include future options for submission to the DataCoin and/or NameCoin blockchains for independent record-keeping.  See the following introductory post for more information:

http://mmcpost.boards.net/thread/1/mmcpost-com-mndpost-introduction

Site 2 may be developed as a Community bank, trust, or credit union for Officers to deposit Community funds prior to disbursal.  This Community Trust may be used to cast votes for Officers, provide internal exchange liquidity between MMC community members, and fund Community Projects.

Site 3 may be used with Site 2 to allow a user to submit, store, and retrieve MMC address ownership, chain data, balances, or vote histories from single or multiple wallets.   Alternatively, this functionality could be included in Site 2.  In that case, Site 3 may be developed as a user-specific content ranking website and/or browser plugin.

Program Details

I will disclose budget details, and the community would help to develop address traceability in the BlockChain. Any movement of the funds would be discussed and pre-planned with the forum community. The community and I may fund web development bounties to be awarded to community members.

The current budget plan is to evenly distribute any funds received between three accounts, as follows:

1) Account 1 shall fund the purchase of healthcare.gov payments for myself and my fiance's mother. They may leave the MMC network at any time under my discretion.  I shall be responsible for private record requirements and traceability.

2) Account 2 shall fund a personal CEO MMC account under my control.  They shall be used as  salary and/or to fund personal bounties within the MMC network.  The funds may leave the MMC network at any time under my discretion, but are expected to remain mostly within the network.  Transfers may be listed after the fact and do not require community pre-approval.

3) Account 3 shall fund a community CEO MMC account under my control.  The funds shall be used for tips and community-approved bounties for supporting community developers through mmcpost.com.  Transfers shall be pre-approved and/or reviewed by the community.

Communications shall consist of forum and/or blog posts with status updates, daily site updates, and PMs and/or email. Transaction histories shall be available and verifiable in the MMC blockchain.

Work shall begin on configuration and set-up of Site 1.  Site specifications for Sites 2 and 3 shall be developed and posted through Site 1 following initial set-up.

I think the BTC Oyate project sounds interesting:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=386256.0
https://www.coinfunder.com/project/view/id/118

It's the Lakota Tribe of South Dakota trying to set-up a mining and exchange operation for their community.

GPU/CPU coins may be better for them.  They could maybe do btc/mmc exchange and mmc members could collect / refurb / configure PCs.

This is a delusion. Current CMO is not my enemy and will not be. I am here to cooperate with anyone and compete against anyone.

Sorry - wasn't the intent.  I'm developing models for trust heuristics in the blockchain - so I think like a chess game, then see what we can come up with.

Actually, reminded me of an idea I had a couple months ago - what if you allowed other MMC individuals to post their similar items for sale in smaller postings / shops on your site?

Some users may have similar items / etc - but not enough capital and/or time to handle a full store?  Stock costs & location wouldn't mean you'd be directly competing.  An MMC trust ranking or something could be required for each "part-time distributor".

Pretty much every site relies on community feedback for sellers - your MMC trust level becomes a universally portable seller feedback from MMC site to MMC site...

Think ebay, bitmit, craigslist, localbitcoins...

Could eliminate the need for escrow on each site...
