Sell your fear to me.  I'm shorting bitUSD  8)
The fundamentals of BTS have never been stronger yet the price is back to the level it was during the IPO.  Think of where BTS is now compared to its initial release.. buying BTS at these levels is an absolute no-brainer as far as I'm concerned.  Weak hands are gonna regret their fears.

anyone knows when the 0.9will release?I have some asset can not found. Now I need to cover the short with that money.

Have you tried importing your wallet into 0.8?  I had no issues receiving shares from NOTES.

never had any problems with the client except for some syncing problems - which you can easily fix by manually adding some nodes.

I rarely have issues either (besides the recent 0.8.0a update) but after reading other threads there seems to be a lot of people with old machines that can't handle the client.. getting the webwallet and liteclient in a good place with functioning markets would increase liquidity from these folks.

The Peer-2-Peer team is recording lots of interviews and taking many pictures this week to help give everyone a feel for what is going on behind the scenes and what kind of people are working for you.

This includes hours of off-camera interviews where Bytemaster has given them insights about what is coming later this year.  They are not allowed to disclose that information, of course, but they are free to tell you their general impressions and personal levels of interest in what is going on at Bytemaster Labs.

Very much looking forward to the P2P interviews and Bytemaster teasers !  8)

The client is not the problem here, liquidity is.

Well if a lot of users can't trade using the client (for whatever reason) then their funds are locked and it hurts liquidity.  So it could be both.

I saw people with substantial amount of wealth using Windows XP , 2GB ram computer , he simply don't want to keep up with the trend of upgrading .

These types of people are my clients.  Dumbasses using InternetExplorer8 and refuse to upgrade and complain when their tech doesn't work.  The truth is they have to upgrade eventually or the internet just won't work well for them.  HTML5 is a standard now and their computers aren't even capable of supporting that.

With BitShares they'll have to rely on using the web wallet and possibly the lightweight client but the standard client will probably never work with 2GB RAM.

It seem it would be common sense to be able to cover, especially since the blockchain controls the collateral.

THIS ^

I hope they implement the future to cover our shorts using the remaining collateral soon enough! Traders expect this by default...

Truth.

Right but what if all mining is done in a certain territory because of this? Doesn't this cause geographical centralization of mining?

Yes, it could cause geographical centralization of mining.  That could create short term issues in price and security if that government cracked down on it but long term I don't see it being an issue as other countries would have an interest in keeping the network running and difficulty would be adjusted.

Why would they do that, it makes no sense.  All it would do is burn more energy.

https://www.quora.com/Why-does-China-seem-to-have-the-majority-of-volume-trading-of-Bitcoin-and-what-might-this-suggest-about-its-use-as-a-virtual-currency

Nothing 'happens' to PoW if governments subsidize energy usage.. it just means the costs associated with mining are reduced.

But you will make the hard core BTS believers sell their BTS (like the current sell off by what seems like everybody else is somehow not big enough), so they can provide you with precious BTC...before diluting the shares (with your scores of delegates) for everyone to pay the investors back...

This is what I was thinking as well.  I would consider donating bitUSD or bitEUR but I'm not selling BTS for BTC to donate.

Speaking of interest - why are shorters offering interest in this market? They are effectively encouraging USD/CNY holders to continue holding, increasing their problem of not being able to cover.

I agree to an extent but I'm shorting with a tiny interest in this market so my shorts are competitive with other shorts so I can lock in at a certain price.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that the "browser" you're referring to would be synonymous with the current client.  If there was an "Apps" section that allowed one-click installs of other DACs it would function just as you describe.

Some folks on Reddit are frustrated it's not mobile-compatible.

Could the CSS be adjusted so it formats better?

I'll gladly short bitCNY when I get home.
